ÖLAND | Sweden by Drone in 4K - DJI Mavic Air 2

I never heard much about this island until I told people that I was going to see the Swedish city of Kalmar over Easter weekend. Truth be told, Öland has origins dating back to 8000 BC so its historical importance cannot be overstated. We rented a car and drove around the entire island in a day (about 300 km) and stopped at quite a few places to take in the views. I highly recommend spending more time there if you can.
I took the drone out to get some shots of Borgholm Castle, Långe Erik (lighthouse), Köpingsvik Beach, and Ismantorp Fortress. I wanted to get more footage but the weather deteriorated rapidly during the day and the winds picked up to about 38 kph (the absolute limit for flying my drone). Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy the video!

As for the drone regulations: to fly in Sweden, one must have registered within their home European country and passed an exam in the A1/A3 drone category. As always, drone rules such as maintaining visual line of sight, flying no more than 120 meters in altitude, and never flying over crowds must always be adhered to.

Not quite. You’re talking about Åland, which is indeed owned by Finland. This is Öland, owned by Sweden.
