- Kalmar is located in Småland county in Sweden. I had heard many great things about this city during my short time in this country. I decided to check it out for a weekend and loved every bit of it. The old town is nice with 17th century buildings, a gorgeous church (Kalmar Domkyrka), and an even better castle (Kalmar Slott). What I really enjoyed was all the green space in the city, which is a common theme in Swedish cities in general. We also took a day and rented a car to see the nearby island of Öland. (You can't go to Kalmar without seeing Öland).

As for the drone regulations: to fly in Sweden, one must have registered within their home European country and passed an exam in the A1/A3 drone category. As always, drone rules such as maintaining visual line of sight, flying no more than 120 meters in altitude, and never flying over crowds must always be adhered to.

Growing just outside of it, there's no place I'd rather live in. It's big enough to have everything nearby but still small enough to never really feel lost. It's just a nice cosy place of a town :)
