I’ve been a CRNA for 4 years. What she is saying is absolutely correct. Also, I believe a good preceptor is one that admits they don’t know a question from the student. Then we both look up the answer together.
I’m smiling reading this. Thank you so much for the support-and I’m so excited to continue learning throughout my clinical journey-and for a lifetime as a clinician 🫶🏻
Can you interview a SRNA who has kids? I think it would be helpful to learn how they manage their personal life.
I got a 4 & 6, you need family support if in the similar situation.
Yes, please show us how you used Google Calendar to benefit your time management! Thank you!
Yay! I’ll start scripting now Hehe
Seconded! :) thank you so much for all the insight!@@annaSRNA
@@annaSRNADid you ever make this?
Thanks for the tips. I start CRNA school in about 7 months. Can’t wait!
Welcome to the gas gang! See you around at conferences!
Thank you for this. I’m in week 6 of working as a new grad nurse. I know I want to become a CRNA in the future and appreciate you for giving us these tips.
Thanks so much! I can’t wait to check out your podcast
Incredibly amazing content! Thank you for making this
Thank you for the advice.
Hey Anna. Thanks for this very informative video! 😊
Hi Anna. I totally used to see your videos on tik tok and I searched for CRNA school help and found you here. I’m starting in June 2024 and I’m nervous as ever. I feel so rusty from school, and everything being technology dominant is so hard for me. Do people really study off screens, like pdf books? And take notes on iPads? I feel so ancient. I’d love a video about studying and staying organized especially with the technology
Yess to the google calendar!!
Yes I’m interested in the google calendar tips! Thank you for all your content
Yay I’m happy it’s helpful! I just filmed it-editing now 🫡
Thank you for taking time to make this video. It’s so helpful to answer my questions that I can’t really find on google that’s tailored for SRNA. And pleasssse do share your Google Calendar!!!
This makes me so happy to hear! I know I searched all over the internet when I was starting out and there wasn’t much information out there 😅 and I’d love to film that video!
I can honestly say, and in conscious truth, your channel is a Godsend. I’m a new grad starting in the SICU in November with the goal of being a CRNA.
Welcome to the crew John! Being a new grad in the ICU is overwhelming-check out @confidentcareacademy my business partner and I have a free icu education podcast!
@@annaSRNA thank you
Can you do a video on which courses you found to be the most and least difficult?
Yes to google calendar tips, and I’m not sure if you have a video on it but how you use your iPad to take notes effectively. Starting my first semester of CRNA school in August and I’m excited/nervous
YES I SECOND THIS PLEASE! I start nursing school soon and would love to be a crna student in the future, but in regards to science based studying tips, which note taking tips on the ipad would work best ? thank you so much and wish u lots of success in ur future!
These are both great video ideas ! Thank you-and congratulations in advance on starting school!
Google calendar please!
Yes please show us about google calendar😊
your wish is my command :)
It’s nice having you back.
Does your working time as nurse in Uk count towards your working hours for a nurse anesthesia program?
How do you make time to create a educational content while in school? How do I start a nursing education business like you?
If I’m taking IGCSE next year, what subjects should I choose?
What about CRNA school do you enjoy more than nursing school?
I would love to see the Google calendar!
Just filmed it! Editing now 🫡
❤❤❤
What CRNA school do you go to
What if I do travel nursing before I start crna schl, then save the amount of rent(cost of living) I’d need to pay times for 2 or three years?
how are you able to take a travel nursing job while being in school? dont you need to be on campus often?
How long is the program?
Will Pediatric CICU experience lead you to becoming a CRNA?
I was wondering your thoughts on picu vs adult icu experience prior to applying. If I was offered both positions, which do you think I should take to help me in the future when it comes to understanding crna curriculum? I come from a nicu background and have two years of experience
Definitely chose an adult ICU. Unless you have a school you are set on that you know values PICU experience equally. Majority of schools will favor adult ICU over PICU experience and some will not even consider PICU. Doing adult ICU will give you so many more options. If you want to work with kids, you can always work at a peds hospital as a CRNA.
I got in with PICU experience! Granted, it was a level 1 trauma center with pretty robust CT and trauma surgery programs, but I got a ton more experience with pressors and sedation and paralytics than I did in the adult neuro ICU I worked in prior to that.
Anna did you need PACU experience for PRN PACU job?
Hey! I started cross training to pacu while I was still an icu nurse-and then I transitioned straight to pacu!
Why won’t you work for 9 months after graduating?
I have heard as an SRNA are not allowed to work ? If we are not allowed to work, how do they expect us to run our daily life and pay bills ? Also do we get paid awhile doing SRNA residency ?
SRNAs do not get paid, you are actually paying to do 60 hours of clinical work a week, on call, 24 hour call etc. It is impossible to work, a lot of programs actually forbid it. If you do try to work you will not be successful in school.
You are expected to get student loans to pay your bills and living expenses. You have to imagine that once you graduate you will be making six figures as a CRNA and will be able to pay off the loans in a few years.
@@carolinerichardson5315 so as SRNA I thought we were allowed to work for the first year, and starting second is where we are not allowed to work. Did i get it right ?
@@manojshahi3090no. My program allows us to work 8 hours a week max. You have to live on savings, loans, aid. When you are out you will be making good money. Where I am, new grad CRNAs are making 230k a year and get a bonus (Idk how much that is).
