Just because you have kept your house TikTok free, it doesn't mean that your child will not be exposed to and influenced by it. A parent can teach and try to instil common sense and certain morals into their child, but children have plenty of other influences in their lives other than their parents. Thus, it's important for a parent to try to provide an environment where their child feels safe and comfortable enough that they can talk to their parent(s) about anything and know that their parent(s) will remain calm, hear them out, give them advice, treat them fairly, etc.

Just a quick note: My buddy Adam quite like you loved his hats and beanies at your age. Unfortunately after years of wearing them the constant rubbing in that area around the hat band pulled out hairs so often that it permanently damaged his hair follicles which left him balding earlier in those areas. If you love your beanies and want to keep wearing then my only suggestion is to line the inside of your hats with satin/silk. ❤ Not sure if you care or not... if bald isn't something that concerns you... carry on. Best wishes and thanks for excellent content 100% of the time. Signed: An old fogey.
This reminds me of when I was a young kid (early-mid 00’s) a friend and I went into their moms old garden where they were growing Peppers and we took them and squished them into a bowl playing with them, of course we also touched our faces while doing so. The burning that lasted forever was insane, absolutely painful. I’d wake up in the middle of the night to run cold water over my hands and on my lips. I didn’t even NEED a TikTok challenge to make me do it Kids just aren’t as stupid as they used to be 🙄
we used to do the same thing. thankfully we only ever squished tomatoes. no peppers cuz we only had the skinny chillis and those weren’t that pretty for us i guess. haha
Umm … kids are now unsettlingly stupid. Wtf you mean kids aren’t as stupid as they used to be? These kids were transported by ambulance, you used cold water
My mom had a little pepper plant in the house and I distinctly remember being like 4 or 5 and squishing a few of the peppers in my fingers and then touching my face. My mom knew I had gotten into something when I came running to her crying 😅😅 kids are dumb until we teach them
Don't forget that before the internet we played the "passout" game Wherein you would all hold your breath and see who was the first to pass out. The internet just gave more incentive to do stupid shit and show people that you are doing it.
Just for context pure capsaicin powder is 8,000,000 Scoville units. This gum is double that. Pepper spray has 1 - 2 million Scoville units because more damages people's faces. Sometimes military pepper sprays go up to 4 million Bear spray is around 5,000,000 - 9,000,000 Scoville units. If I remember they don't go much higher because it would be damaging to bears. This isn't pepperspray it's bear spray so hot it would be cruelty to bears.
Bro after that blue chip sold at the gas station fiasco I’m NEVER doing anything even remotely close to a “spicy challenge” ever again. And I like spicy food but that just ain’t it. My tummy was sick for 2 days after that chip 😢

I was low key surprised people weren't entering the big cat enclosure after the whole Tiger King hype during the pandemic, that's how low my opinion is of the average challenge taker after they started eating Tide pods on camera. Kids can't order from Amazon via the website.... but ANYTHING can order off Amazon via Lexa. As the TV show that ordered thousands of Barbie dolls a few years back demonstrated.
5:16 Capsaicin (cap say sin) is the compound in peppers that makes your mouth hurt. It activates the TRPV1 receptor which is the same receptor that is activated by noxious stimuli such as heat, which is how we feel spiciness 😄
I attempted this challenge with my friend a few months ago before the tiktok challenge. While neither of us were hospitalized, I made the mistake of swallowing the saliva during this and left me on the floor in incredible stomach pain for nearly half an hour. As someone who loves hot foods and hot food challenges, this single piece of gum makes me want to stay away from the hottest sauce on the menu at restaurants now.
I'm always amazed at the lack of an eject respinse on these people. Like, am I the mutant? When I get something in my mouth that's gonna hospitalize me, my jaw just automatically locks open and I start drooling so much that whatecmver it is just falls out, no conscious input from me.
Scoville scale doesn't actually measure anything. It's an opinion scale based on survey data from people who like spicy food. So while it will give you a vague idea of what food is hotter than another, the numbers don't measure anything specific and different people react to different types of spices which means they may not all agree even with the scale used.

for the school incident that's ALL on the parents. How does an elementary school kid buy off the interenet without their parents notice? theres no one out there to blame besides the parents.
All I can imagine is someone inhaling hard because of the pain and aspirating on their capcasin-laden saliva making their airway swell up. Of all products to make hyper-spicy, gum feels like one of the most dangerous ones
Not necessarily parents’ fault. An elementary schooler might have seen the challenge on tiktok and asked an older sibling to get some for them. Or an older sibling with not-so-great intentions might have just given it to them to mess with them.
I do think it's the parents' fault because they should have taught them by then not to do dumb and dangerous things and that these things have consequences. And not to give in to social pressure and at the very least to wait and see what happens to the people doing the challenge. Plus, kids that young do not need a smartphone, nor Tiktok.
@@ShuichiZero I mean just because you teach ur kid not to give into social pressure doesn't mean they won't do that, sadly sometimes kids gotta learn on their own
@ShuichiZero Elementary aged kids are just beginning to develop their own sense of consequences, whether you try to teach them better or not. Kids naturally try to push boundaries and rebel too, so these things aren't completely preventable just by good parenting. Unfortunately, sorey.
I imagien that the gum has also been manufactured in a way so that it's almost impossible to blow a bubble with it, making the challenege impossible as well as deadly
To be honest, this one I don't blame on the people doing it as much as I think it's an issue with regulations. If something is freely available, most people would assume that it's safe to consume. And for people who don't know much about/aren't aware of the scoville units won't understand how the rating will compare to other spicy things they've tasted. Yeah, they should have done research and yada yada yada, but even the gum's package doesn't make it sound *that* bad.
So I guess a kid asked his/her grandfather to buy it for them and he had know idea what it was... Saw it on a facebook town post (live near the area this happend in)
I think people should take a look at the safety data sheet for pure capsaicin, because it includes warnings such as "toxic if swallowed" and "acute toxicity"
Capsaicin (Pronouced: kap-say-sn) is what makes peppers spicy. Different peppers contain different amounts of capsaicin. Capsaicin is also used in things like icy hot and certain creams to provide temporary pain relief. According to Google: eating too much capsaicin can lead to irritation of the mouth, stomach, and intestines. People may develop vomiting and diarrhea. Inhaling sprays containing capsaicin can cause coughing, difficulty breathing, production of tears, nausea, nasal irritation, and temporary blindness. Edit: it has been brought to my attention that the word Atozy was struggling to pronounce is Capsicum and not Capsaicin. Edit 2: Here is what I found on google. capsaicin - differences between the two. At the most basic level, capsicum is the name for the genus of plants that includes chili peppers, while capsaicin is the active ingredient in chili peppers that gives them their heat.
These stories are majorly overstated, those people weren’t hospitalised because of actual problems, they voluntarily brought them self because they where scared. This reminds of how food borne illness us misrepresented by blaming the wrong restaurant, people usually blame the most recent but it takes a minimum of 2 days to kick in.
I worked at a restaurant once, I had to make Habanero and ghost pepper salsa then clean the buckets. I pretty much maced myself every other day. it kinda got scary when I started getting used to it😂 wouldn't try my luck with this shit or actual mace tho
Can we bring back wholesome challenges? Like the ice bucket challenge or surprising the people behind us in the drive thru by paying for their food or something?
Some parents can be so negligent. You would be surprised by how many kids know how to order stuff online. Also, they could have an older sibling who didn't care and ordered it for them.

Having been pepper sprayed for my job (we started using it so we had to experience it) let me tell you it is awful and terrifying. We had to pour milk on our faces to try to deactivate the spray and I also had an asthma attack. It's nothing to mess with. I wouldn't touch this stuff with a 10-foot pole let alone put it in my mouth. Crazy.
One time me and someone had a can of bear-spray in our bag where the safety fell off and got pressed for a milisecond...for a LONG time after that and alot of washing, occasionally i would get very spicy sensations or if i rubbed my eye it was...not fun. I love spicy stuff but not THAT spicy, i am glad this candy isn't in a powder form or that would be awful, you would never get rid of it and 1 nearly microscopic flake would mess you up.

But for some reason they won't take the phone from her. They'll complain about it, but won't take it. Crazy time we live in.
@@brosephbroman7564 crazy world. Those people obviously weren’t disciplined
@@brosephbroman7564 same I have a a relative that their child did some stupid shit and got in trouble and I blame it on TikTok. It wasn't a challenge but it was stupid stuff he should have known NOT to do. And now he has ruined the rest of his highschool life. My kid does have access to RUclips but we watch with and point out the fake recipes and fake "hacks" so she doesn't try to replicate anything she sees.
And we do that as well no subject is off the table we cover them all when it is brought up.
And yet tons of people are freaking out on halloween that "strangers put drugs in our kids candy!"
They literally poison themselves 😂(but for real hope the kids are ok and rip to their tastebuds)
People who get concerned that weird-ass people are putting bad stuff in their kids' candy most likely aren't the same ones who are doing this type of challenge - just sayin
Clout is fleeting, Ulcers are forever.
Brooo!! Thank you so much. I’m so glad you said don’t do this cuz boyyyyyy. That challenged was starting to sound like a hot deal! Thank you Atozy!!! My body sends its regards.
We must protect Atozy at all costs. love it man
Dude relax 😂😂

Just a quick note: My buddy Adam quite like you loved his hats and beanies at your age. Unfortunately after years of wearing them the constant rubbing in that area around the hat band pulled out hairs so often that it permanently damaged his hair follicles which left him balding earlier in those areas.
If you love your beanies and want to keep wearing then my only suggestion is to line the inside of your hats with satin/silk. ❤
Not sure if you care or not... if bald isn't something that concerns you... carry on.
Best wishes and thanks for excellent content 100% of the time.

Still waiting for the Fentanyl Challenge to pop off
It already has but not on tik tok

That's always been my favorite challenge. Just keep some Narcan on hand and you should be good.
The natural selection challenge
The what now challenge
I hope insurance companies refuse to cover the medical expenses of anyone who is sent to the hospital after attempting a tiktok challenge.
I didn’t even NEED a TikTok challenge to make me do it
Kids just aren’t as stupid as they used to be 🙄
we used to do the same thing. thankfully we only ever squished tomatoes. no peppers cuz we only had the skinny chillis and those weren’t that pretty for us i guess. haha
Umm … kids are now unsettlingly stupid. Wtf you mean kids aren’t as stupid as they used to be? These kids were transported by ambulance, you used cold water
Had a similar experience except it was a friend's dad that ran a bunch of peppers through his food dehydrator inside
Spouse it's time to awaken Atozy has granted us a holy relic called a video
Just for context pure capsaicin powder is 8,000,000 Scoville units. This gum is double that.
Pepper spray has 1 - 2 million Scoville units because more damages people's faces.
Sometimes military pepper sprays go up to 4 million
Bear spray is around 5,000,000 - 9,000,000 Scoville units. If I remember they don't go much higher because it would be damaging to bears.
This isn't pepperspray it's bear spray so hot it would be cruelty to bears.
Can you imagine someone giving these out at Halloween 🎃
Bad 😂
At least they Will never come back
You'll be know as the Death Gum house.
Good idea
Sounds like a good way to get sued and/or charged lmao
I imagine the paramedics showing up to the elementary school with kids running around screaming like chickens 😂😂
U know those kids secretly got that gum from one of their parents Amazon accounts & probably ordered 10-20 pieces of it to bring to recess 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I believe that for sure! Kids aren’t stupid 😂
@@Annabelvasquez1001 no I believe kids are stupid, but boy can they be clever and sneaky as fuck lmao
I'm sure the parents would've noticed, considering it's $16 for just one piece.
Bro after that blue chip sold at the gas station fiasco I’m NEVER doing anything even remotely close to a “spicy challenge” ever again. And I like spicy food but that just ain’t it. My tummy was sick for 2 days after that chip 😢
The one chip challenge after seeing Logan paul eat 2 back in 2017 . I told myself not to try it of he is acting like that and he took it rather well I would die eating it
I remember trying that chip, I just thought it tasted nasty bc it was too bitter. Ended up having to wash it out with a weird mix of Modelo and a butter cookie. Lol
4:23 yoooo good idea fr, they think you’re into them n you’re like “have some gum first, I like how the mint tastes when we make out” and then while they’re freaking out you just run away LMAO
Up next: the bear trap challenge!!
I was low key surprised people weren't entering the big cat enclosure after the whole Tiger King hype during the pandemic, that's how low my opinion is of the average challenge taker after they started eating Tide pods on camera. I mean, the Darwin awards already exist, some people are just actively trying to get one.
Forbidden arm hug
I'm shocked that no one has tried to sue the company that makes the gum itself.
It has a disclaimer
They're not a dumb company, the packet has warnings on it clearly informing people of the dangers
@@geehammer1511 I know, but people will sue for the dumbest reasons.

5:16 Capsaicin (cap say sin) is the compound in peppers that makes your mouth hurt. It activates the TRPV1 receptor which is the same receptor that is activated by noxious stimuli such as heat, which is how we feel spiciness 😄
Yes but the word was capsicum which is pronounced CAP-sick-um.
It would be the "I'm allergic to everything" kid's mom talking about this shit 💀
Atozy: "Can this get any worse?"
*proceeds to get much, much worse*
I attempted this challenge with my friend a few months ago before the tiktok challenge. While neither of us were hospitalized, I made the mistake of swallowing the saliva during this and left me on the floor in incredible stomach pain for nearly half an hour.
As someone who loves hot foods and hot food challenges, this single piece of gum makes me want to stay away from the hottest sauce on the menu at restaurants now.
Somehow, TikTok does not surprise me.
I'm always amazed at the lack of an eject respinse on these people. Like, am I the mutant? When I get something in my mouth that's gonna hospitalize me, my jaw just automatically locks open and I start drooling so much that whatecmver it is just falls out, no conscious input from me.
“I only smelled the gum”, said while having a swollen face
Scoville scale doesn't actually measure anything. It's an opinion scale based on survey data from people who like spicy food. So while it will give you a vague idea of what food is hotter than another, the numbers don't measure anything specific and different people react to different types of spices which means they may not all agree even with the scale used.
FaZe Rug influenced kids to doing something dangerous?! 😱 I knew Brian was SUS 😧
@@Raya-ir4tm I know right?
Faze clan is a joke now. And FaZe Rug used to be the shit just like the rest of the Faze members in the golden days back in the 2010s. And He now has a clickbait content. No wonder why hes the most subscribed Faze member. I think Rain and Teeqo are the most trusted members. I mean.. Teeqo left the FaZe house a few weeks ago because of what's happening.
Yo for a second I thought the guy in the thumbnail was Ethan Nestor and I panicked lmao
Oh, all I can think about now, is that student that would dip his gum in citric acid, but accidentally dipped it in an explosive and died.
Let's not discount the possibility it wasn't a parent who was responsible but an older sibling (probably a brother, let's be honest)
TikTok in a nutshell "Deafened by the naive while we silence the wise."
for the school incident that's ALL on the parents. How does an elementary school kid buy off the interenet without their parents notice? theres no one out there to blame besides the parents.
Hope you get better bro!
That or they secretly ordered it themselves, kids are smart they can hide stuff like this
I do think it's the parents' fault because they should have taught them by then not to do dumb and dangerous things and that these things have consequences. And not to give in to social pressure and at the very least to wait and see what happens to the people doing the challenge. Plus, kids that young do not need a smartphone, nor Tiktok.
@@ShuichiZero I mean just because you teach ur kid not to give into social pressure doesn't mean they won't do that, sadly sometimes kids gotta learn on their own
There's a comment above you that claims it was the girl's grandfather.
@ShuichiZero Elementary aged kids are just beginning to develop their own sense of consequences, whether you try to teach them better or not. Kids naturally try to push boundaries and rebel too, so these things aren't completely preventable just by good parenting. Unfortunately, sorey.
9:14 he's actually insane if he thinks spilling milk out of his mouth onto the ground is funny
16 million Scoville is WAY higher than pepper spray... pepper spray is in the 2-5 million range..
I thought this was gonna be a top ten video of the children injured in this challenge
I imagien that the gum has also been manufactured in a way so that it's almost impossible to blow a bubble with it, making the challenege impossible as well as deadly

We went from cute trends to kids harming themselves for clout it's quite sad

The dad drank lemon juice after chewing the gum? That must have been so agonizing pouring acid on his already burning stomach!
I swear the Darwinism you can find on TikTok is insane
Could you imagine someone pranking you with this gum? I would catch a charge for sure.
The Darwin awards this year are going to be awesome
To be honest, this one I don't blame on the people doing it as much as I think it's an issue with regulations.
If something is freely available, most people would assume that it's safe to consume. And for people who don't know much about/aren't aware of the scoville units won't understand how the rating will compare to other spicy things they've tasted. Yeah, they should have done research and yada yada yada, but even the gum's package doesn't make it sound *that* bad.
And parents. Forgot to add that part. They should check wth they're giving their kids.
"It's Darwinism when they are adults, and they are influenced when they are kids"
Still Darwinism, lad.
Yea I wouldn’t have been stupid enough to try this as a kid, but I can barely chew big red comfortably lol
To receive a Darwin Award, they have to take themselves out of the gene pool *before* they pass on their defective DNA to the next generation.
"I'm happy to pepper spray my mouth - but I don't dare to risk my health as it may contain soya!"
Pepper spray is 5 mil. 16 isn’t on the Scoville chart 😭
The word he was having trouble pronouncing was capsicum, not capsaicin
@@Cty-unofficial My bad, I was listening to the video while I folded laundry.

Crazy.
