I did the first exercise in this video this morning before work (didn't have time to do the rest of them). And didn't have any leg pain all day at work. You're a life saver!

For two weeks I have been dealing with thigh pain 24 hours a day and I could tell there was a place that needed work and I would massage it to no avail. This video helped me target that area and it is so much better! Thank you!!!

Dr Rowe, your ways to explain things are very simple, easy to follow I like them, I am from UK, had my right knee replacement done about 7 months ago, it went well for few months, but now my knee gets stiff on the outer side, I have followed your instructions to soften it, it remains soft for sometime, but then stiffens again, I want to know if there is anything else I can do ?

Thanks a lot , i got pain in inner thigh 2 days ago and could hardly sleep for 2hours on previous night . I am used to switching sides in bed and could not move. Last night @ 2 am, I watched your video, followed your exercises and it waa like a miracle. My 50% pain disappeared and i could sleep for 4 hours. I will repeat these exercises for somedays until the pain go away fully.

Thank you so much for this video. At 73 I thought I understood all about muscular pain but I suddenly got an awful painful throbbing pain in my right front thing muscle so bad I was in tears. After a bit of Googling I found you on RUclips …. After around 10 minutes of repeating your thigh knuckle rubbing the pain has stopped, the area is tender but I feel I can take a breath again. Bless you.
Dr Rowe great video on how to release pain over the knee. As a physical therapist I notice a lot of knee pain people experience is simply caused my stiff quads and can be easily managed and improved on their own with techniques and stretches like this! I’m a fan of manual therapy and massage and I use it on all of my patients. My favorite stretch for knee health and to keep the quads both mobile and strong are reverse nordics. Although for some it can be challenging kneeling I find it helpful for people to use padding underneath the knee! Give it a try and great post thank you!
Dr. Rowe this helped me with my leg pain today thank you, do you or Dr. Mike have anything for stiff knees having pain? Had total knee replacement 7 years ago, still stiff, doesn't bend right, dr just tells me give it time, when I know something went wrong with surgery! Thanks!
@@debbiecasalina4475 I work with a lot of patients who suffer from the same problem after knee replacement and I found that addressing the stiffness in your quads and hip flexors can really be effective! I just saw this and thought I'd try these exercises to relieve my left upper thigh pain. I hoped it might work because I've had this pain since having to continuously walk up many stairs at work. I got immediate relief! I am so grateful!!! My thigh warmed up and I thought I overdid the fist pressure, but I guess it was breaking up the "adhesion" and allowing blood to recirculate in that spot... I had a muscle chemo a few years ago and my body / muscles have never been the same , it hurts so bad as I’m trying to go into a standing position, that midway I have to freeze , then gently rise up until pain subside , it’s the weirdest thing !
Thank you a ton. I'm on hospice and dealing with terminal restlessness causing me to pace, valium has helped the pacing but you can't stop terminal restlessness. The pain meds I'm on (FYL patches and dilaudid 10mg/ML Hourly PRN Don't help this type of pain at all) thr tennis ball helped. I could actually feel my toes warm up and feel circulation again. It worked great. Thank you!

Finally after suffering upper thigh pain in my right leg going to orthopedic tomorrow hopefully get some answers. I will definitely try these techniques to relieve the pain. I can barely lift my foot up to put my sock on in the morning and you should see me trying to lift my leg to get in my Jeep Wrangler.
My left thigh, front, about dead center, exactly where you were pointing to, on the first exercise, where you said you're hurting. 3 questions: Can I use a rolling pin instead of knuckles. Is this coming from the back? I know you can't diagnose, but it looks like the same place on you. Is yours coming from your back?

I have had this in my left thigh for over 2 years now. It's for no reason, and I tried everything. Family doctor, no idea, er doctor, no idea. Now I have foot Tendinitis for the last month.

I get thigh pain like fire just above my left knee, if I've been walking then stop and stand, and numbness at other times. I believe it's a nerve in my lower back, maybe disc damage or just a stubborn vertebrae problem. I was born with spina bifida occulta in the 5th lumbar and have always had issues, but after a fall a few years ago, which gave me bursitis (diagnosed with ultrasound and successfully treated with injections) and my sacroiliac joints were out for a long time, and that problem never showed up on Xrays. But that's not the first time xrays have proven useless when I have relied on a GP. The spina bifida occulta wasn't diagnosed until well into my 30's with a CAT scan. I didn't know the sacroiliac was out, from the fall, until I saw a video of yours actually, and then I saw a chiropractor who confirmed it. The whole area moves around a lot, and there's pops everyday, if I stay relaxed and self massage, but that fire pain won't let up. I can't afford an MRI. I'm interested in any advice you can give. Also, I've done the sacroiliac exercises so much, it's now hard to get a good stretch. I've always been loose jointed and quite pliable, less as I get older though.
I've got bone spurs in both of my heels in my feet, esteoarthristis in both of my knees, lower back problems & carpel tunnel in both of my hands all these health problems for years. The massage that is done on the legs I do on my boyfriend's back. I wear a walker boot on my left foot, a knee brace on my right knee & 2 braces for my hands.
Thanks for these exercises Dr. Rowe, will these help with my outer thigh pain (on the outside going down the side of my leg) it hurts to sleep on that side and Im getting very painful just above the same knee (my left one) but weirdly mostly between 3am and 6am which can be so painful but come 6am and it suddenly stops, I love your exercises and find them very helpful so Im hoping you have something for outer thigh/weird timed knee pain. Thank you for sharing so generously with us.

Good. I’d say 70- 80% pain relief instantly. Just did it and feel comfortable. Will see how I feel tomorrow.

Thanks for these exercises Dr. Rowe, will these help with my outer thigh pain (on the outside going down the side of my leg) it hurts to sleep on that side and Im getting very painful just above the same knee (my left one) but weirdly mostly between 3am and 6am which can be so painful but come 6am and it suddenly stops, I love your exercises and find them very helpful so Im hoping you have something for outer thigh/weird timed knee pain. Thank you for sharing so generously with us.
