This was a very important conversation. I have dealt with fear and anxiety since I was 14. My own parents taught me my value was low. I am truly grateful for Jesus Christ and His purpose for me. I will choose Faith and continue to follow Him .
@@MankofitI’d love to hear more! I’m eating it up. I have mother wounds, father wounds and lots of other traumas for good measure. I’m 52 and raised six kids. I’m a Christian and love God. I want to be a 10.
This was a very good important discussion between two very intelligent inspiring women. Massy firstly much condolences to you with the loss of brother. Secondly you are so super wise beyond your years a true old soul with so much to teach.
I want these videos to feel like a therapy session so I’m glad it felt that way to you! Three more amazing conversations are coming with Dr. Delena. What other topics would you like us to cover in the future?
Massy - what a phenomenal "much needed" conversation. It's nice to see women of color have this discussion regarding mental health. Everyone should see this video.
Thank u, Massy & Ms. Delena. Wonderful ways & advice to shift & redirect emotions that may reflect, insecurities, pessimism or even past generational trauma that alot of us were simply subjected to or lack there of. Exercising is a terrific & most importantly "active"way to challenge ourselves, set goals & ultimately benefit our well-being in a healthy dynamic. Understanding ourselves has to be the 1st steps. I will be applying these gems to my daily spiritual development routine✌🏾💫
Thank you Massy & Delena... the journey of shedding the layers to now reflect upon our lessons and to stand in our truths to now build one another back up! 🙏💯
Man if she was saved she would be fire we don’t belong to the earth we belong to our Lord Jesus Christ! We need to touch God every day! The best way to cope is to get in touch with God not ourselves He will teach you who you are and what he created you to be He will tell you your purpose!
I am so glad you mentioned about the men suffering from depression and suicide as well. I have 5 sons, and I look forward to seeing them flourish, and my grandbabies, oh my grandbabies need strong fathers. We women truly are the medium/growing matter. 🙏
Men commit more suicide than women as they don’t get help or are given a safe space for emotional regulation and even to understand themselves. God bless you and your family.
@Mankofit You stating that fact at the end created space. Safe space. When I began my healing and inner work, I along the journey learned how to be a safe space. I believe somehow it comes with the work.
This comment made my day! I love to hear this conversation was as healing to you as it was to me. Please share with your loved ones and anyone who you think needs this message today ❤️
As a person thinks so they are. This is good content much needed. Following the pandemic many people are unable to move forward. Combined this with every day life challenges and there again is a need for this teaching.
Wow! This conversation has been so impactful! Massy, thank you for introducing me to Delena and this other side of you I hadn't had the pleasure of seeing yet. You inspire me so much! ❤🙏🏽
This is good. Trust me. It is. Breathing techniques allow you to get in touch with yourself and reality simultaneously. Breathing is life. Shallow breathing is where anxiety, depression and over thinking dominants the time, space and mind simultaneously. Deep breathing gets you to your best potential in this reality. Thats the exercising that is truely worth practicing daily throughout the entire day.
This segment was so beautiful. The honesty, the unraveling of human thought and behavior, and the practice of healing from within. Such masterful women in their crafts and you both are also the mechanisms we can lean into to become the best versions of ourselves. Master Your 10 Everyone! 🤎🤎🤎
Thank you for being such an inspiration! I stumbled across your channel some time last month. Your banging body is a result of your soul & spirit. And that's what is so inspirational. Im 52 years old and understand that this thing called life is a big classroom... Sis, thank you for being a great teacher. God Bless You!
Beautiful, inspirational, uplifting, and informative. Amazing interview/episode. A million views and more. This message needs to be heard. Thank you for all you do. It’s inspiring the lives of many. Shine your light always.🤞🏽❤️✨
Coming from Instagram. CLICKED IMMEDIATELY! What I got from this conversation is that I'm a 10 regardless of time. Whether I'm 1 to 21 to now 40, I'm a 10, and to challenge these thoughts that tell me im not worthy to transmute negative thoughts in positive ones. It's a daily practice. I'm a 10, and that's how I'm walking in the room every time.❤❤❤ Love the conversation. Thank you.❤
I loved it ! I wished it was longer and you asked her more questions. For the next topic can you publish it ahead of time and use questions that people want to ask?
Ask them here! What questions did you want me to ask? This was a long convo we cut into 4 episodes. I wish they were longer but this is just the start of the series. We will do more. Ask them here.
@@Mankofit perfect: my question is:How can I stay true to my values and standards without compromising them to meet others’ expectations, while still being empathetic and kind? I want to show up for myself in a way that’s loving, caring, and respectful, but also remain approachable and understanding towards others. How do I find that balance?
I am thankful and grateful for this opportunity to learn about moving forward. Too often we set goals and have the most protracted path like walking through molasses. 😢😢😢
@ the entire episode was wonderful. Specifically, i related to the discussion of being taught to not feel the entire spectrum of emotions. The thought never occurred to me that to my parents internalized my negative emotions as a reflection on them. While not necessarily coming from a malicious place, my parents actions wired my brain to think being “happy”/positive/etc is the only option.
I recently start using your encouragement to not give up working out. I always push myself I use 1 of your sayings to push. Take care of yourself like always motivator to motivator. I recently opened up about a friend comiting suicide. It's been years but when his presence hit me it hit me. I was not around for him to talk to. It's hard to open up about these subjects so I keep pushing. Doesn't mean feeling s doesn't appear. But thank you

Sitting here reading these words! Thank you so much for these encouraging words. At 53, what is your biggest advice to everyone younger about your own mental health?
Mental health is a lifelong journey that requires care and attention. Self-awareness is key, understanding your emotions and limits builds resilience.
