Hey nieces and nephews! Nigel Ng (creator of Uncle Roger) here.
If you follow my insta, you would've seen stories about how this past Friday, Oct 30, I was punched in the face by some random stranger while walking home in London. Signs point toward this being a hate crime.
Don't worry, I'm ok! Just a bit of bleeding and bruising on my chin and lip. Have filed a police report as well.
This video was recorded before the incident, which is why you don't see any bruising on my face. But I'll make Uncle Roger talk about the incident in the next video and hopefully find a funny take on it :)

idk why but i enjoy the process of cooking the rice myself. Had a rice cooker and it always made the rice too moist and clumpy, so I use a titanium cooker, and it cooks rice so good is boggles the mind.
Wait until you get an air frier. Life changing lol
As a lazy husband, rice cooker was the second best thing. (after pressure cooker). I love making soups my wife enjoys :)

Begged for a ricecooker for xmas 2 years ago. I got a crockpot. I begged for one last year. I got a toaster (i asked this from my father, he bought me a toaster 3 xmases ago.) You can buy multi-purpuse rice cookers. Mine has a slow cooker feature, congee, steamer mode and has different settings for difference types of rice. It really just depends on your budget.
I got a multicooker with eight functions because it was the only thing that resembled a rice cooker that I could find at Costco. I only use the "rice" button which is the fifth button down under "steam" but after seven years of only using one function it still works great! 🤣😂🤣

I’ve used a few different rice cookers from cheap to expensive and even a pressure rice cooker that has rice done in two minutes. I’ll always revert back to rice made in a pot because it’s easy and I have perfect rice every single time.

right, oyster sauce, soy sauce, chicken powder are also source of umami. You can put in almost every savory dish to enhance the flavour. This aussie is pretty legit
I bought a 500 dollar Tiger rice cooker and it has changed life. I had no idea how much better my rice could be. However, the thing can make so much more. Makes awesome oatmeal porridge and cracking congee.

Rice cookers aren't single purpose. Most of them double as a steamer for vegetables or anything you want to steam. Depending how fancy they are they can have other functions as well. But even the cheapest ones can make things like ramen or steamed vegetables.

There is one time i broke my mum’s glass bowl, I have to clean up the “crime scene” just i like i had just murdered someone before my mum got home...even to the extend that i threw it in my neighbour’s bin. However my mum still found out about it, because Asean parents know how many utensils they have in the kitchen (better than knowing if their children is in the house or not)...

I don't have a rice cooker (yet), but I also don't have a toaster. I use a cast iron skillet to toast my bread before making a sandwich with it.
I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about toast as Heywood Banks, but I think it can go with any meal. Ever had chipped beef gravy on toast? That's like a special treat when you're in a poor family.
I did recently add a Zojirushi rice cooker to my wish list, so I hope to have it on my kitchen counter soon.

Yeah, we can also use it to ferment stuff, too. My mom makes black garlic and sweet rice wine using the rice cooker.
Mine has a steaming basket so I make loads of veggies or fish in it too.
And to make soup, handy for steamboat when you don't have a steamboat pot or stove
also steams fish and veggies and odd chinese breadlike things like a champ.
I use rice cooker to make mutton curry.. .
