God bless you Burt, mechanical genious and balls of hardened steel.Blazing down the salt flats at 330km/h decades before any bike maker could dream to reach such speed, on a 1920 Indian. You where truly the hardcore biker of the century.

And at 6.39 you see why he could gain that massive torque within the restrictions of Cubic Capacity limits - No one but Burt could have thought that! the eccentric big end. He was an expert on levers - amazing Man

      boss 302 gorie.
He apparently watched and studied many film clips of Burt Munro, to get his accent, speech, and mannerisms correct, and he nailed spot on.

This seems to be even more content that the extra feature of the DVD. Thank you Roger Donaldson for the original documentary and for following up with such an amazing movie about Burt Munro!

It really is good to see this once in a while - to keep in mind the vanity of all normal (as people regard it) life... He had the real good philosophy when he said anyone can buy a fast bike and ride it fast but not anyone can make a fast of a slow one and ride it fast... That attitude is also seen (sort of, I would like to say) by those people who go all places with old worn-out postie bikes!

The first few seconds when we could only hear Burt's voice, I was somehow expecting Tony Hopkins to appear as Burt.
