- In this hour-long special, CT Public takes a look at the decade after the Sandy Hook school shooting. We talk to survivors, teachers and lawmakers about what has and hasn’t changed. We also examine the promises made and what changes we’ve seen in schools since the mass shooting.
This is still so devastating. 10 years later and the world continues to mourn the shooting murder of the 6 brave educators and 20 innocent children who were shot to death by a gunman with an AR15 in the shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14th 2012. 😔
Bless all these poor kids that lost their lives. Just breaks my heart. May they all rest in peace. 😢I’m so sorry 😢
How do gun buy backs prevent mass shootings? The person that voluntarily gives up their firearm, is not the same person who would commit mass murder. I know there needs to be fewer guns in circulation, but aren't you disarming the wrong group of people with a gun buy back?
Well, if sensible dad or grandpa give back their guns, they're not there for the son or granddaughter with mental illness to get hold of.
It does make sense in a way, less guns there are in circulation, less probability there is the wrong persons have access.
I do agree though it's not enough.
Right!
It’s not the weapons that kill! It’s the person behind the weapon!😢😮
And killers choose guns as their weapon of choice...because guns kill most efficiently and are real easy to get here in the USA.
When people must vote on universal background checks, we can see that the "90% support" poll is not accurate at all. About 50 % oppose UBCs per Maine Nevada and Oregon referendums ....
