I love the interior of this house. The sitting rooms of this design house are usually very similar, with a lot of wasted space in the back part of the rooms. This design takes advantage of every nook and cranny, ensuing a unique and beautiful space... love it ❤

I too just learned of her recent passing. 😢 I’m surprised there wasn’t more in the news given her influence on the sixties bossa sound. I’m sad, too. She was so effortlessly cool, so pretty, everything I would have wanted to be in that era. May she rest in peace.

i find it cold and hard too. a joyless, slightly brutal interior. the use of concrete and metals and the limited colour palette adds to this industrial feeling. but i also understand how some might find it's austerity peaceful.
My partner just called this 'fake eclecticism' and I think that is a genius term for this kind of bitsy-basic. There's just not the pieces there to support that low key arrangement and I just ended up wondering what I was even looking at. I don't think I've ever seen a more awkward reference to an awesome natural form than that 'bracket fungi' light fitting; if I'd started it I would have aborted halfway through and made something else 😐
Haunting beautiful home. Unfortunately, the hosts come off as ghosts (at least in this video) in a way. Quietly walking through the rooms afraid to laugh or break an OBJECT. Such a sombre, overly intellectual approach. I don't know, maybe people get nervous when they do these videos but where for the love of God is the sense of humor, of play about it all? So deadly serious. You'd think they were discussing Middle East peace negotiations. Like so many videos of this type, I see homes that are interesting, creative and unique, unfortunately inhabited by pretentious, sour boors which is a shame because I think it makes the average viewer think to themselves, if I have to turn into THAT kind of person to have a lovely home, I'd rather live in my Ikea/Target house and move on with my life. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
I had similar thoughts watching this. It made me feel kind of sad. All those things in a beautiful home but no obvious sense of joy. It feels like something is missing. I wonder if they have children. I wonder if they are going through something. Watching this left me wondering more about this couple and if they are actually happy. Maybe they are and they just live in a quiet way. I hope that is the case.

The place is cool but it’s also so lifeless & dull. This muted greyish pallid colour palate in a UK setting is depressing. The little additions of colour contrast here & there should be wonderful but the dark colour the video is filmed with flattens it all.
The only thing better about these videos would be if they were longer. LOVE
