This is a masterpiece of a short film about her life, about life. The way she can talk about emotions, about her past and present, about her self. Such depth and essence. And the house itself, an amazing, beautiful canvas for a life so beautifully painted. Seems we are forever strangers on this earth we call home and making it our home requires true talent and heart. And a lucid mind to picture it all and manifest it. Greetings from Greece.
Such a beautiful home…and such emotions evoked in a five minute video. I enjoyed this immensely…thank you for sharing your story and your home with us ❤
I adore her style, from the household decor, murals, furniture, and kitchen items to the olive trees and Italian Cypress. I love architectural 'museum look' items mixed with bold primary colors. It all goes so well with the Spanish-style homes here in Southern California.
You said exactly what I have felt for along time. I tell family members that I was "Italian" in another life but have yet to visit Italy. I watch lots of Italian RUclipsrs living in Italy and I find myself admiring the videos. Two years ago my co-workers and I were planning a vacation to Italy but then covid hit and we didn't go. I admire your home very much and saddened to hear of the loss of your husband. Wishing you many more years in your home enjoying everything you love. ~Blessings~
What a marvelous story! Thank you for sharing 😢. I'm sorry to hear about your beloved husband passing. My husband is a gardener too and I love to see our property looking beautiful in the summer time. You made my day by showing us your beautiful home! I'm so inspired ❤ I love everything Italian, the people, the food, the country. I've never been but dream of going some day! 💕 I love when you say, you really enjoy pretending of being an Italian 😊
Such a charming earthy stunning property. I’m so glad they went with this home. It’s thoroughly good for one’s soul looking out to nature & being amongst beautiful scenery.
Wow! So very sad and heartbreaking 💔 Your home is LOVELY in that beautiful picturesque setting ! Enjoy your days as best as you can and let your spirits guide you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Sad about the husband passing when they planned to share the home. We never know our fate. Beautifully decorated home. Very warm and cozy. I wish Camilla Guinness well.
I too am an Italian widow but living back in my Balinese villa here in Indonesia (Jakarta). Why sadly to be English? You have superb qualities as English. I can ve Italian if I wanted to. Very calming house. Complimenti!
Beautiful. I loved Camilla Guiness' words about not being Italian but appreciating Italian lifestyle. In the times when people think they can identify as whatever they imagine and everybody else must adhere to their vision, this sounded very respectful for another culture.
This home is delightful, the lady and her story have something that touches your heart, as a good book or music or art only can do. The story about her husband gardening is also very touching, as well as her final saying about her wishing to be an Italian. Thank you for sharing these 4:35 minutes of beauty.
What a wonderful thought provoking and inspiring story about living a wonderful life with a wonderful man told by a beautiful and courageous woman living in a beautiful home. It made my day.Thank You
What a touching story ..... I feel like I want to be a volunteer gardener for a while to keep this lovely place going.... and you in it .... thank you for sharing .
What a lovely and interesting woman. And very British to humbly describe how she got into "decorating," given her amazing interior design accomplishments.
Italy is my favourite country after England my dear. So don't feel unfortunately for being from such amazing land. My children are English and I always tell them to be proud of being half half. We visit Italy 2-3 times a year and we just returned from Toscany three weeks ago. It's was marvelous! My best friends here in MC where we live at the moment are Italian. They are happy people and very sharing!
Heart breaking, and a beautiful home in a beautiful place. This touches the question many of us have, of "where do I belong". I have had many temporary homes, and have made myself feel more or less at home in them. Realising, even in our current home, that all things are temporal. My ultimate home , and hope, is with Jesus - and that's the one I most look forward to, because it won't be temporary.
I am so grateful for this wonderful story of Camilla Guinness , Yes very sorrowful the passing of her beloved Husband . I shall visit again and again because is so beautifully narrated .🍂🍂🍂✍️ Mary Canada 🍁
Sadly I am very English. Nothing to be sad about! There is something so magical about the English spirit. I lived in England for one year and did not understand it until after I left. The English spirit is beautiful. Look at your house. That is English at its finest expressed in Italian.
My name too is Camilla, thus your video captured my attention. I hope your spirit can rise again, nourished in the beauty created by you and your husband and, most of all, by the original Creator of us all.
This house has a powerful history yet to be told I could feel it very strongly just watching the video Please tell us which family/ies lived there before you 🙏
For me “pretending” my life is something it isn’t creates a lil spot of comfort or happiness. Searching for “a something” is always a disappointment, so day dreaming or pretending is, in reality the best way to experience your desires. That “longing” is in the journey and there to continually pull us through our life’s path. Pretending is always more fun. Drink in the Italian culture and it’s peoples hearts, you are living in the place where your heart and soul wants to be so perhaps innately you are Italian after all! YOU are YOU where you were born is only geographical . I’m very very sorry your husband is gone. But he is all around you in everything you two created together. Celebrate in joy your lifetime together and be open to change and renewal.
This plays like literature. 'He was standing outside smoking just staring and I said what are you doing and he replied: gardening'.
💚💚🕊️

What a beautiful storyteller. With words, with fabrics, with textures, with peace. Thank you - this is a beautiful film. Stunning, just stunning
