The worst part of the video is that it is too short. Absolutely beautiful. Her home has been featured in online magazines white a few times and it has inspired me to emulate the cosiness in my own home. Absolutely stunning.
In the winter the fireplace replaces the sun. Love that.
And all the heat goes up the chimney. Step back a few steps ....and your FREEZING !!

Lovely warm home. I love all the candles-they are magical. The parlor with the fireplace and all the books are my cup of tea!
Amanda Brooks has the best of American and British taste. I especially like the fact that she does use handicrafts from small family-businesses. Her taste is superb. What sets her apart is the fusion of American and British taste.

This really is a lovely shop. I live nearby and often browse there. Think I have to work harder on my hand-picked foliage though, I just pepper the house with sprigs of holly and ivy from our garden, in little upside down bunches hung with ribbons and silvered glass bells and hearts.

She's a former director of Barney's New York. That being said, her US-centric rose-tinted view of UK is a little clichéd, half baked and sometimes tacky - perfect for the new money moving in her general direction. Also, it's so obvious it could be left unsaid, but she married well too... need that fin support for what is essentially a lifestyle hobby

Makes me nostalgic! I owned a shop which had the same themes as hers for 11 years. Half of the garage is filled with my favorite Christmas decorations 😂😂😂 My house is very colourful too! She's a kindred spirit 🥰😍🥰

Check out this lady's shop, Cutter Brooks. It's is comedically overpriced. I want to hate her, but heck if rich people are dumb enough to spend $215 for a Christmas stocking, I'd say we should let them.

English Winters are nothing compared to winters in the USA, we hardly have any snow, and it seldom gets below zero, we are a temperate climate. Weather aside, your shop is just lovely, full of beautiful things. all those colours and fabrics.

As soon as you said I’m a colored lights person you had me. Me too! I grew up in the 50sand 60s so thats how I remember Christmas and that’s the Christmas I want to relive in my mind. Love it, love it, love it!

Lovely home definitely a goal of mine. I love watching crafty individuals, their passion really shines through their decor. I visited cotswold a few years back, locals were very warm, friendly, very different to the people in central London.
You rate in the 'best' category... any lover of beauty will not be able to watch the video just once. The ruffled table cloth and backgammon table/chairs are amazing. Your shop is beautiful, your house is divine. The Cotswolds is a piece of heaven on earth.

I like her home but I have to say, for a curated taste inspired by the english countryside not much is made in England [that she's mentioned]. I imagine that for the price point in her store, the profit margins are higher when the craftspeople aren't from her own neck of the woods. But admittedly, I may be mistaken in all this, the video was not long.

@@pyewackett5 ok---this is a decorating video and not meant to be profound. She's an American: we talk like that about our interiors: very casual and understated with a little laugh at the end. We all do this.

The home is lovely. All of the lit candles that are not covered make me nervous and I keep water near in case a stray ember alights -- I can douse it right away.
Never leave your candles unattended when lit!

I'm so jealous. I've had stores all my life but I don't have one right now. Everything is just perfect: the Cotswolds, your store ,your home, your front door, your fireplace, your dog. I could go on and on.
Beautiful spaces and lovely holiday decor. Really love everything outdoors for the holidays! Haven’t seen the mushrooms (amonita mushrooms I beleive) that hang. I have a bunch that clip!
I assume these could be ordered from other countries. My husband and I have a few hanging mushroom decorations from our childhood (1970-1980s) and back then these mushrooms already looked vintage. Perhaps they were made in 1950s in the western part of Ukraine or Baltic republics of the USSR. Most of those glass factories were established about 120 years ago and some of them are still active.

What is it about that room that separates it from every other sitting room in the world? I'd LOVE to read other people's theories if they've noticed the disproportionate representation on blogs, pinterest boards and all that, online. For clarity: I love it too. :)
The warmth. And the subtle contrast between the dusty blues and dusty pinks. There is a lot going on in this room, its beautifully layered. But what I really think sets it apart is the atmostphere, looks like a fairytale mixed with an american christmasfilm🙂
