Chris doesn’t just ask questions and move on, he actually has a conversation, actually has genuine interest. He’s awesome.
And Chris doesn't interrupt people when they talk that's what's cool about his videos.

Legit one of my favorite wrestlers right now. Most of us hated the named change back then, until he started putting on bangers and everyone kinda forgot about it.
I prefer the new name now that it has time to settle. He said that he prefers it too.

It's funny how what you prefer from your entertainment changes as your grow older. As a kid, I was obsessed with crazy spots and aerial moves. Now that I'm older, those things just make me cringe out of fear of injury for the wrestlers. Now, I love the storytelling elements, the psychology and overall mat wrestling. Gunther embodies these elements. His matches keep me captivated. I still can't get over how good that Mania triple threat match was. His recent match with Gable was fantastic too.
Even though he's a heel, I'm cheering for this guy! He deserves everything he's got and more. Can't wait to see how the rest of his career unfolds 💯

He's only 1 title reign away from being the guy with the most IC title reigns in history as well as about 23 or 24 days away from being the guy with the most cumulative days as IC champion. Breaking two defining records on a title with such a long history has to be one of the most monumental things the WWE can pull off at the moment.

Roman’s matches are always the same, slow build up and a babyface comeback but ultimately he escapes every time because of help. Gunther delivers banger matches every time and they’re always different it just makes me more interested

In an age of captivating and complex sequences of acrobatic and very choreographed moves, Gunther has managed to feel special and standout without any of that, there is beauty in the simplicity of his work, I can't put it to words but you have to admit his matches feel different to others
Imagine that, someone who knows how to work captivates the masses with the simplest shit. Who would of thought.
This is because he has a very unique style. His moveset is limited, but he has 3 different semi finishers that can finish the match, but it usually takes multiple of them. Because of this he’s different from the signature move and finisher move formula

Gunther is one of the only current male wrestlers in WWE I actually really like right now. He just has an aura to him that makes him such a joy to watch, especially the way he carries himself in and out of the ring! Definitely a future world champ in my eyes! 💪
He seems like such a respectful & nice guy. A perfect wrestler. Hope he beats the record tbh. He deserves it for bringing prestige back to the Intercontinental title.
Like truly the modern day wrestlers have more freedom to be themselves outside the ring but they are very dedicated to their characters when it's time to put the character on

He always comes off as so humble and nice. I’m glad for his success I’ve been watching him before he joined NXT UK. He’s one of if not the best wrestler on the planet.
I've really used to hate Gunther, mostly for his wrestling style and over-use of chops, which amplifies his cocky character a lot. However that changed after seeing a couple interviews of him.
The guy is wholesome, well-mannered, polite and honest that it's simply impossible to dislike him.
It just proves how much talented performer he is 👏

I think it´s safe to say that Gunther elevated the IC championship to the heel miz with the white belt level
2016 miztourage miz was a nice champ but Gunther has a whole different vibe of dominant aura
I love that he is a dominant heel without any cowardice or the need to cheat all the time...or in Gunther's case, EVER. Was there even a single title defence that he didn't win clean? I can't remember, which again is astonishing considering he actually has a stable just like Miz did.
I can't recall even a single other stable of that format (1 main guy and 2 goons) where the goons didn't cause distractions pretty much all the time...Imperium is the polar opposite where more often than not they're not even at ringside for the important IC title defences
I love that he refers to the Intercontinental title as the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship just like Macho Man did. Big Gunther fan. Great interview, Chris!

I’m starting to like CVV been catching a lot of his interviews lately and he’s been killing it!
Right he keeps the interviews in character, but a blend of reality. He does not make the wrestlers look bad. Kind of remind me how Arsenio Hall use to look out for the wrestlers

I got back into WWE earlier this year and for no reason I decided I didn't like Gunther but he basically forced me to be a fan through his performance and interviews. The 2023 Royal Rumble was the first thing I watched from WWE in over 8 years and I thought it was dumb as hell for Gunther to last so long, but re-watching it, it's hype af my guy goes on a warpath in that ring.
Super cool dude. Deserves a long run with the IC belt. He brings that "Ivan Drago" villain type energy that no one else can match.
He's gotta look at the camera and say "I must break you..."

He deserves it, all of it. He’s been having classic after classic, especially after the Symphony of destruction trilogy. Longest single time in a rumble, longest wwe uk champion, longest IC champion of the 21st Century. Not so his character, but With his style in and moves in the ring, he Reminds me of Kenta Kobashi.
I would have loved to see how he responded to the picture of Jack Starz from NXT UK after their match when Starz had Walter/Gunther's literal handprint on his chest.

Gunther has charisma, he doesnt get to use it much.
He really does. He never comes across as having much of a personality due to the character. Chris is also just such a pleasant, easy-going interviewer and I think that helps too.
