“I’m the Kobe to their Jordan” -LA Knight
YEAH!!!
Nah
He does have a voice that sounds remarkably similar to The Rock but I have watched this guy for years and he is himself and not the other two! 🤷🏻♂️
And Kobe was from the lakers. LA knight. That’s crazy
Excellent quote.
The Jordan’s are the shoes of a champion, so he’s right.
how is a combo of stone cold and the rock a bad thing?? that's a huge compliment
Airel just wants to stir things up.
It's lazy and unoriginal
@@pandauser5 apparently the truth is stirring things up.
Being called derivative isn't a compliment.
@@lovefist86exactly, he can’t even lace their boots, he’s a copycat.
It's been 20 years since Austin and Rock - now LA Knight comes along spitting absolute fire and reminding fans of the greatest to ever do it. Every single industry is full of pioneers who become so successful they influence those who come after. The fact is this - an entertainer the calibre of LA Knight doesn't come around very often.
Love this comment, sounds like an LA Knight Promo! Lol
And that’s just a fact of life! YEAHHH!
I stopped watching wwe since 2002. I watched a match or two, but seeing this guy come out and snack talk (and it's not as good as the rock or Austin) but it's fun and firey. And that's what makes your dude entertaining to watch. I want to see the old wwf again. Not whatever is happening now
no. he is doing an impression. copying mannerisms and speech patterns. no different than charlie haas doing impressions of superstars.
25 years
He's not a knock off of Rock and Austin. He's definitely a fusion of. The sound of The Rock, the attitude of Austin, he's definitely a good combination of them.
He fits very close to the formula they both created. Wrestlers have CatchPhrases, wrestlers have the swagger, the look, the sound, he just happens to have it all and I think it’s a compliment that they see 2 legends fused into 1 guy yah know.
This is how MJF is like. But Still, LA Knight to me is exactly a fusion.
@@anthonyturner6399 Very well said.
He’s got some Ric Flair in there too
@@usamazahid3882yep with him and MJF they are potentially this generations Rock and Stone Cold. Definitely most talented and charismatic 2 guys since Stone Cold and Rock.
Sheesh this guy had 5 interviews in a week. LA Knight is getting that earned spotlight. YEAH!!!
Cody had like 5 interviews a week leading up to Mania…
@@keepmovingforward1722 goes to show they're very hot right now
@@keepmovingforward1722yea during mania 😂 this is mitb
@@keepmovingforward1722you made that sound like a bad thing lol the fact Cody and knight having the same exposure is awesome
@@ronburgundyspetfish9039 I’m just drawing parallels. Cody did all the media appearances and still lost, im just not setting myself up for disappointment again
If this guy doesn't hold a major title before he leaves the WWE it will be an absolute disgrace. The guy has got it all
They've missed on so many opportunities to capitalize on creating new stars over the past decade. This is the next chance and a great one at that.
I just hope they put Grandpa Vince out to pasture and keep him away from creative before he does too much damage.
@@Turppa21your talking as if he isnt a 41 year old. He is not a superstar that they would need to build for the future.
I like Ariel Helwani too.
@Turppa21 New stars? Dude he's over 40 and a 20 years veteran, the "new stars" are guys like Bron Breakker and Melo Hayes.
“ I’m taking myself to the top one way or the other” 🐐 🔥
I just hope he's already got the approval of a certain someone to do so otherwise he's not long for WWE.
WWE hasn't had a guy with this much charisma in 20 years.
He is one of the most over guys while losing to mid-carders and having a 2 minute promo every other week and in general not even being in any good program ever. They didn't give him a single minute at Mania and he still gets the biggest pops on any show he is on. Can't even remember the last time that happened
Vince will find a way to ruin this pretty soon
Seth Rollins? The Miz? New Day? Daniel Bryan? CM Punk? JOHN CENA!?!?!?
@usmcmikeco0651 i wouldn't say seth rollins or daniel bryan scream charisma tbh.
@@Palikroked87 He'll ruin it specifically because of this. Just like Zack Ryder.
Love him since the TNA days. Such an exciting performer.
Eli Drake!😊
Bill DeMott is truly a POS tho. So, I’m glad that LA Knight got the last laugh in the end. Time for him to shine. YEAH!! 🗣
its funny we all know who he was talking about
@@24inchdubz says a lot about Bill’s personality tbh
I didn't wanna jump to conclusion, so I had to check the date for when Bill left WWE in March 2015, while LA Knight was released August 2014. Just around 6 months between.
I knew nothing of Bill DeMott until a few months ago as I'd been pretty disconnected from wrestling through the past 20 years; but the more I hear about him, the more I dislike him.
He sounds exactly like the Rock.
He’s 40. I’m 40. I watched the Attitude Era. If I was a pro wrestler I guarantee my character would be like a hybrid of my favorites from that era.
Me too I was a John Cena type of wrestler that wore chains and jerseys when we had our little wrestling show back in 2010 I forgot the password to that channel 😂
The rock was a big star for 3-4 years yet we remember him as one of the greats. If La Knight sticks around for another 4 years, he can be at the top of the mountain
Rock was still in his 20's when he started peaking, while Knight is over 40. Big difference dude.
@@jonathanturbide2232a wrestlers prime is usually 35-45
@@Broadkill54You don't start building main eventers at his age though
tbh I didn't think that he looks like Rock... that's Ricky Starks from AEW lol
@@weswith360sIt isn't "starting" building him. He's already built. Just gotta pull the trigger now.
Not only is he paying homage to The Rock and Stone Cold but he’s super humble…. Gotta respect that
Damn! Close your eyes and it's like listening to The Rock. Incredible.
The best part is that he isn't trying to fake anything. This is an all natural interview and he just has IT!!
I was thinking the same damn thing to myself.
damn hahahahaha
@@theroddimusThere’s a video that shows LA Knight’s old commercials and promos. He sounded nothing like the Rock. So, he’s definitely making an effort to sound like him.
Nothing wrong with it, but that’s not how he naturally sounds.
As DDP would say, it took LA Knight 20 years to become an overnight sensation. His hard work and persistance has finally paid off.
Oh yeah, there is nothing "over night" when the person is middle aged and have been in the industry for most of his life. I dont think many people believe that either, at least I hope not.
I don't think he's ripping them off he's just heavily inspired by them. Honestly though it doesn't even matter because he looks completely different to them and we need somebody like him now more than ever.
Ripp offs are inspiration without originality.
@@lovefist86How many wrestlers were influenced by Ric Flair, Hogan???
@@jetla22 Exactly.
Furthermore, LA Knight has his own style and personality. I think it's a compliment that he bares similar traits to Austin and Rock.
The man has star power and he did it alone.
Does anyone else deserve to win MITB? NAH NAH
Does this guy deserve the MITB and the US Championship at the same time? YEAH
Read that “nah nah” in La’s voice😭
YEAAAH
Damien is the only other deserving winner. Everyone else is just there to fill a spot. And I agree, LA Knight deserves to hold multiple championships at once.
There is no deserve.
Yeahhh
With EVERYBODY saying , L A KNIGHT YEAH
Durrrrrrr
Dummy
And that isn't an insult, that is just a FACT OF LIFE. YEAHHH
I don't care if he's like the Stone Cold or The Rock that energy is needed & I've been loving every minute of it.
This guy has it. LA Knight has the potential to get fans back into wrestling. I haven’t watched since 05-06 but he makes me want to watch whatever he does.

He has the charisma! Love LA Knight!
And the kavorca
Can't forget about the kavorka
This man did it HIS way, all by HIMSELF. I give mad props to LA, and hope to see him as champion one day!!
Glad Ariel is back
LA Knight, ever since stepped foot on NXT, I saw greatness coming a mile away
And he did it in three years to put himself over with the crowd
First seen him in TNA and knew he had it.
@@Turppa21 First saw him as Shaun Ricker when he was being managed by Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer), Had it then also.
@@corkymccorkell True, but it really kicked off when the Dummy button came around.
Sounding like Hulk Hogan and KO my man
More like 7 months. Not a lot of people watch NXT and his debut as Max Dupri is horrendous
I just closed my eyes & he does sound like the Rock 😅 but I'm loving it.
He actually does as well haha
I've always thought he sounds more like Austin. But I guess that's the point!
@@BadMeetsEvilSaan and the millions? hahahaha
This moment right here 3:12 laugh and voice like The Rock along with Stone Cold's bottomline catchphrase and attitude. Amazing!
He's isn't Stone Cold or The Rock. He's the freaking Megastar LA Knight . Haters can say what they want! We love this dude and what he does
The ONE and ONLY reason to watch WWE ATM. For those that have been following him since his Impact days know what he's capable of. Everytime he's on screen he draws your attention. We're just scratching the surface! Awesome to see him finally getting his flowers...YEAH!
Yeah, its not like WWE has the greatest storyline of all time going on in the form of Bloodline civil war and drawing money and viewerships, no no, it was all LA KNIGHT.😂
It was good and peaked and now it's on the decline, I'm over it TBH. It's LA Knight's time!
@@vanitastmnt6080it’s LA knights game now YEAH
So dorky. Also, it's not on the incline, it ended, poser.

Lol stop it get some help

@@tretyp4650he is
@@xdestructivecdx6714nope he's rated just right, casual
Love the underdog story. He deserves everything he has earned the hard way. A flashback to the attitude era for sure and exactly what the WWE needs (very bad actually).
I went from who the hell is this guy to saying his catchphrase in months…I love him and he has IT!! Give LA Knight the gold! I’m praying he gets the push he deserves, he’s too damn good!
How I wish this man is 10 yrs younger. Would be a multiple time world champion. I am cheering so much that this man becomes a world champ soon.
LA Knight has always been like this!
He really sounds like 90s Rock lol
Fans should be happy there's someone that can bring the attitude era personality
People act like OGs like Ric Flair ain't influence a ton of wrestlers
He doesn’t act like Austin. Kevin Ownes is closer to Austin in terms of character.
Agreed,he would have been epic in attitude era,it's matter time till hhh gives him that big push for sure
He just seems like such a nice down to earth dude. so likeable.
Straight to the point with LA Knight didn't even avoid any questions just answered as it is. He deserves a major championships in WWE
the fact he "imitates" the GOATS is why he is great. The style of entertainment we have missed for so long!
Incredible interview, very insightful and honest. Don't care for wrestling much today, but this guy is legit!
The main commonality between the three is natural charisma. When I first saw Eli Drake , I saw a real wrestler who would have fit in any era of the business, I'm glad he's in the big leagues.
L.A. Knight has become one of my favorite mic guys. Dude can perform too
He is not The Rock, Stone Cold or Rick Flair, but he has found that formula that formula that made them great and that is charisma.
MJF vs LA Knight would have been incredible if possible. The promos alone would have sold out stadiums
One of my favorite wrestlers right now
It's the personality that categorizes a talent along the lines of a Stone Cold, Rock and Knight. It's a niche. He's not copying anyone. It's in him.
what a legend, this interview is real as hell
I have never heard of this guy before right now. And I will totally buy any and all anthologies of his career based upon this engaging interview. Even if I need dig out the VHS player
This guy is definitely part of what wrestling DESPERATELY NEEDS right now. That larger than life persona. Most superstars have not been able to mail it, they come across so meh compared to that era of attitude and even ruthless aggression. So I hope this guy, The Usos, this Seth Freakin Rollins, people who bring it ALL can start making wrestling even more awesome. It’s been okay, but not ELECTRIFYING, and that electricity can come back…
It's Ariel and the Megastar! YEAH! Another good one, Ariel.
I showed my friend that hasn’t watched in over 15 years a clip of knight and now he watches la knight clips every week. Man is money… YEAH!
He was literally trained with the rock while doing the rocks TV show..... of course his gonna carry some of those traits. They not only know each other but work together, and I'm sure as hell he has the Rocks support behind the scenes
Fun to watch LA get over within the WWE. I hope he gets to that next tier and gives the fans more people to root for in the main events.
He definitely gives that Stone Cold vibe, that’s why I like him 🤷🏽♀️
YEAH!
Exactly, if he is like stonecold and the rock thats a blessing.
Let me talk to ya. If la knight met stone cold he would slap the yellow off his teeth and send him packing back to texas with his tail between his legs. YEAHHH.
@@Turppa21 Definitely, pretty much everything has been done in wrestling so why not use the basics that got other people over big time? It's not like he's stealing their gimmicks, just using the same 'tropes'. That's not a bad thing. It's like saying "this band are using guitars so they're stealing from BB King!"
No doesn't not even close nothing like Austin. Like wtf
This man survived a feud with Bray Wyatt and his nonsensical ramblings. He’s special
It felt so deflating in the crowd on Saturday when he didnt win. The disappointment was palpable and it was like the air had just been let out of a tyre. The man is insanely over and is the closest thing we are going to get to a Rock/Austin type of character.
cant even lie if i close my eyes his voice almost sounds similar to the rocks lol
Ariel with the hard hitting question. Love it! Regardless of it's WWE, UFC, MMA, or boxing. I love Ariel's interviews
everyday i jump on youtube for the past week I see a new interview of LA Knight. Well deserved spotlight , YEAH
His voice sounds like The Rock. He has the same cadence and also has some Ric Flair in his promos.
he is a stone cold and rock baby,,,he has the genes of both guys...hope wwe book him right and made him main event superstar...bcoz he has got everything...specially his natural promo abilty
The attitude era molded him and not just his character that he's been playing the past 7-8 years but his personality outside of work.
And he's proven that the attitude era promo style can still work in a modern context.
He totally does!..... And we all love him for it!
This guy is unreal! Perfect interview by the best! With heelwani chefs kiss… yeah!
I love his comment and response to the rock and stone cold comment of just like he looks up to them and how people make comparisons and all very respectful answer
If LA Knight doesn't win Money in the Bank, everybody should riot like hijack the show

I’m a huge fan of The Rock, my buddy a few years ago told me about this guy and was like he is the new “Rock” I kinda rolled my eyes and was like “Yeah sure” then when I looked him up I was like “Oh my God” and has become one of my favs since
Poser
the way he's normally talking is exactly like his character, I see no problem.. he's just being himself
This interview was fun to watch. I love how LA Knight speaks when not in character.
Deserves a major title
Agree. At least the United States Champion. Austin Theory is bland af
There's elements of Rock, Austin, and Flair. That's not a bad thing.
I've always liked this guy ever since he was at TNA I only hope they give him proper push he's that dude
LA Knight was on The Rock's reality tv show, The Hero, in 2013
5:01 wtf 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
He’s a star
LA Knight is the force behind WWE 2K. GIVE HIM HIS FLOWERS!!!!!
People were saying Austin and Rock were being too much like Flair back in the 2000s. Give that line of critiqe a rest. The man is doing something that has inspirations, but all artists do that
When he appeared in The Hero TV game show 2013 hosted by The Rock, he was so damn entertaining that Rock already seemed to take a liking to him. Everything he did in that show was based on being a cut throat heel wrestler trying to get everyone else eliminated which is exactly the theme of the show. My only wished was that Marty from that show would come into the wrestling business as well.
_Now everybody’s saying_ *L 👉🏼 A 👉🏼 KNIGHT 👉🏼! YEAH!*
Great interview, LA Knight the mega star!!! Yeah!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎤
Man, that was so much better than hearing an "interview" with someone responding to everything with "I can't comment on that"
Give him a run please! Yeahhhh
Living proof that everything happens when it is the best time for it to happen.
So everyone whos thinking that they are stuck in life, chin up and give it your best.❤
La knight will revive wwe after 8 years because he has attitude like stone cold, hhh, the rock and c m punk vibe no doubt almost 8 years nobody have attitude like them as now la knight has. Simply Awesome la knight 👍
Ric Flair "WOOO!"
Stone Cold "WHAAT?"
DX "Two Words For Ya!"
Rock "AND MILLIONS"
DDP Diamond Sign
Daniel Bryan "YES!"
Roman Reigns "OOOOOOAAH!"
LA Knight "YEAH!"
Immortal crowd moments that will/have outlived their careers
In another dimension, Lesnar never left in 04, WWE never made their product the one man Cena show, and this guy might have been popping off 10 years earlier.
That's a good way to look at it, Also an universe where Reigns never took over.....
@@davedarius7346 ah well how great it would have been. Lesnar, Batista ruling then guys like John Morrison, LA Knight etc ruling the next decade with no Cena or Roman.
Lesnar leaving in 2004 really changed all wwe dynamics. Cena was pushed down our throats.
Even as Max Dupree, he was gold. That’s saying something. No matter what gimmick this man has, he’s going to take it and run. Got my money on this guy for the long run in the not so distant future
People think he’s copying Austin and Rock simply because he’s a great talker and his voice sounds similar as Rock. LA is one of the extremely few in the industry that could’ve been successful in the Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression Era when the standard was a lot higher.
Just listen to how he naturally talks. He's not a knock off, he's literally acting his natural self Here.
Hence, He's a Natural!!! LA Knight is the One and only LA KNIGHT!!
I believe this is called "being influenced by greatness"!
I say he's a modern day macho man. Has the attitude, the craziness, the charisma and the in ring talent.
Oooh Yeaaaah
I’ve been watching wrestling for 31 years. He reminds me of stone cold king of the ring 96 every time he talks. 😮
All i hear is how he is like the rock and austin but lets be real, we need this. We have needed this for years. Yeah
Maybe he possesses some similarities which he fused into his character, but he is in fact an individual and has his own style of entertainment
L.A. Knight - The People's Champion
He absolutely sounds like the Rock, it's hard to unhear it
It's the biggest compliment there is being compared to both of them
I think we should start calling him WWE LEGEND LA Knight. Just a matter of time 😉
Ariel this a surprise glad to see him!!!
AUSTIN MEETS ROCK MEETS HBK. He does it with his own twist to his character YEAHHH
I love that he brings that same charisma as them
