      Only problem is that he is 40 years-old. Guys like Jericho were running wild and tearing up the industry in their early 20's and this guy is twice that age and finally making a name for himself. I'm a regular 44 year-old guy and when I look back at my 20's I was a beast compared to now. I used to be able to rock climb, swim laps for an hour, and could bust my ass and just dust myself off like nothing happened. Now if I fall I break something lol.

    Like many older fans, I find it incredibly hard to relate to the new WWE product (don't care for Bloodline or Cody or whatever) but this guy is the only one who grabs my attention. He's just so natural on the mic and feels like a legit star. Hope WWE doesn't hamstring him or feed him to Reigns, and instead let him climb all the way to the top.

    • @drehgonden1103
      @drehgonden1103 Год назад +3

      U personal don’t care about Cody or Roman doesn’t mean ppl don’t and doesn’t mean they aren’t more over than LA knight. Also it’s funny bc cody and Roman are more real grounded characters. LA knights gimmick is that he is a guy that thinks he is a megastar. He’s over but it’s weird to me that ppl are like yeah that’s more relatable over like Cody who’s more complexed from just a guy who loves wrestling then also wanted to accomplish something for his dad and to go through all of that and tell that story . To respond to that and say oh that’s not real the guy saying yeah and LA knight is real. Weird, also his appeal is that he reminds ppl of the attitude era and sounds like the rock.

    • @thepancakemann
      @thepancakemann Год назад

      LA Knight's gimmick is good and his delivery is better. Cody and Roman just don't have it.

    • @drehgonden1103
      @drehgonden1103 Год назад +2

      @@furyroad8 okay this idea that bc the company booked cody vs Seth or roman doesn't guarantee the fans will cheer for the guy. Example being roman reigns . The company can put out merch of the superstar but it's up to the fans to buy it wear it and carry signs.what ur saying is ridiculous it's called pushing talent. Ur complaining bc wwe pushed someone wtf do u want them to do with LA knight now? Not book him strong? Also last year knight got zero reaction. They put him in something with bray a top guy and ppl say him now and he's red hot. U act like the fanbase saw him on the internet like Ryder. They saw him on TV. He is over he is red hot.he is not white hot. Put LA knight rn in the 3rd hour od raw in the main event and he's not gonna get the same reaction cody gets. Can he at some point? Yes .but when ppl pretend he's more over than cody rhodes thats ridiculous.

    • @drehgonden1103
      @drehgonden1103 Год назад +1

      @@thepancakemann and yet I see 10 times more cody signs the LA knight signs. Let me guess its a conspiracy to keep LA knight down. SMH when it's LA knight it's organic when it's cody oh they are piping in cheers and a pop.

    • @drehgonden1103
      @drehgonden1103 Год назад +2

      @@thepancakemann also cody doesnt have a gimmick he has a moniker but not a gimmick . LA knights gimmick is an attitude era call back. Cody rhodes is just genuinely like that on or off the screen. He makes pop culture references and he makes fun of himself some times and he loves wrestling and his family. He's just a guy, that's why he resonates to ppl. Rn LA knight in interviews is different to the character he plays on TV.

    He has THE STUFF that makes you a true star in the eyes of all groups of WWE fandom, no matter what era we're in. That stuff being the combination of having an athletic, muscular body that people of all genders can respect, and the vocal promo ability that brings excitement when listening to every word spoken.
    WWE fandom has evolved and changed with time, but it has always appreciated larger than life, confident speakers more than it has appreciated the mat technicians since it's mainstream television Golden Era. Hogan, Austin, Rock and Cena all achieved #1 guy status because their God-tier mic skills led them there.
    I like to use Seth Rollins as an example. He was once a "wrestle first, promo skills last" wrestler when he started from the bottom till he reached his peak in independent wrestling. He used to be really bad at promos. It's impressive what he has become now. After many years of developing his speaking skills to not only eliminate his weakness, but continue to develop those skills and use it to his advantage, Rollins has finally achieved mainstream superstar recognition that has earned him passive income from the MCU.
    Wrestling will always be the heart and soul of the show. But if the goal is to generate a streak of loud pops and be able to strongly convince even the most annoying WHAT chanters to shut up and respect you, then you grab that mic and you become LA KNIGHT! YEAH!
