With Everyone Saying LA Knight YEAH.
Let HIM... TALK to US!!!! YEAAAH!!!
DDP debuted at 35, if he says 40 is not old then he’s not wrong.
Spot on!
Exactly he wasn't no spring chicken pretty green but learned and earned his place quickly
@@jtdaprowrestlinggenius2379 and the thing is, Knight has been in the business for 20+ years, he already knows how to build a character and how to use the ropes, it’s all about just capitalizing on the hype now.
He’s inspiring a generation who’s already insecure about their age! YEAAH
Not quite, he debuted as an in ring performer at 35, but he had been a manager for years.
0:08 “He ain’t too old for nothin’. He is at the right time, and at the right place”- DDP
When Page says 40 isn’t old, he’s speaking facts. Shout out to one of the greats.😊💎👊🏾
"He ain't too old for nothin'"
Nobody is too old for nothing, nothing doesn't involve doing anything because it's... nothing.
If he had said "He ain't too old for wrestling" that would have made sense.
Oh, how I hate bad English!
@@richardmullens4707 Lol, the correct way should have been said; “he isn’t to old for anything.” But it’s DDP so what can you do🤣🤣
@@marcushamner5994 I don't know, send him on an adult education course to learn English maybe? 🤔
@@richardmullens4707On the spectrum?
I can't believe you put a time stamp for 8 seconds into a video 🤣🤣🤡🤡
Love DDP. He knows exactly what LA Knight is going through. Always great to hear the legends propping up the new generations.
I’m also 40 and determined to make a career for myself in music regardless of age. Thanks to DDP and LA Knight for the extra inspiration 😎💪🏼
Get it brother salute
Would love to hear some of your work and we could talk. Have our support! Get at it! 💯
Same with Priest
DDP and Batista are two prime examples of you're never too old to begin a career in pro-wrestling. Also, it's not like the business has been bad for people in their 40s. Sting, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kofi Kingston, Edge and Christian are still active.
True, Hollywood Hogan had his NWO run in his 40s and HBK had an epic run from 2002-2010.
Same with Priest
DDP was born in 1956. He started wrestling at 35 which was 1991. The rocket was strapped to his back in 1997 which was his breakout year he was 41. LA Knight is not too old
DDP has silently saved thousands of lives without seeking any recognition whatsoever, what a man
Facts
Always love pointing that out.
They should definitely push LA knight to the moon. Good to hear lots of legends like knight too
Kevin Nash big LA Knight fan, YEAH!
@@ACD1994Stone cold is a big fan 🤷🏻♂️ heck Cena literally posted a pic of him in his IG
Then he'll be Moon Knight
La knight and stone cold my number ones top favorites two
DDP is proof you ain’t too old. Remember Lashley is 47.
You’re forgetting one important piece. Black don’t crack.
Bobby Lashley is a genetic FREAK!
That’s only because black people cover themselves in lotion everyday.
Lesnar is 46
Lashley dont age lol
DDP is the example of "You never too old to anything" type of man.
Batista started late as well
This is what I hope DDP's arc.
We're never too old!
There is nothing that can ever make me dislike this guy. The number of people he has helped with his yoga and just the humble attitude he has
DDP is incredible. His post-wrestling career is remarkable.
Do people not realize like all the main event level guys in the wwe are in their veryyy late 30’s, 40’s
Aj Styles, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, Sheamus, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Damien Priest, Finn Balor, Roman 38, Seth 37
They've also been in wrestling since their 20s or younger. There isn't a true DDP equivalent I can think of who broke into wrestling itself in their mid-30s and is currently very successful
Dave batista broke in the business in his 30s.
At 40 years old you should be at your prime easily! This man is going to be the man! Easily!!!!!
Man I love DDP, he's the most positive and astonishing person ever, bless that man.
Man DDP just comes off like a ball of positivity like he emits endorphins and just being in his presence puts a smile on your face
BAAAAANG!!! *self high five"
Everyone is comparing him to Austin, Rock and co but he feels like a modern day DDP (in WCW) to me.
For my money, no one has given back bigger to wrestling than DDP
Correct and he actually saved lives with his yoga too
This is one of the few people who truly gets what is happening and that I care to hear from about. L! A! Knight… YEAH!
My absolute favorite WCW alum! If DDP says 40 isn't old, that's enough for me.
Knight and Priest would be awesome rivals. Two guys who don’t have time on their side going all out for once last chance at the titles. Knights whole story could be “You’re never too old to start”
They have plenty of time wtf are you talking about you act like there senior citizens mf
It isn't a wrestler's age that should be measured, it is the ammount of bumps you have taken. LA Knight is smart enough not to have taken too many bad bumps so isn't broken down compared to others his age.
Wasn't Dave Bautista in the same boat?
Bastista was in his early 30s not 40s.
@@suiken3149He was 36 when he got his 1st main event push
His promo with the Miz was great
"If you can't breathe without it, you should do it." What a short, powerful statement that all kids should hear.
Austin said his prime was at 40 ,la wants it he'll be fine ,yeahhhh
I love watching Chris interviews, man. This guy is so good at interviewing wrestlers.
DDP won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for the first time when he was 43 years old, that tells you a lot.
I am 41 years old 5 years ago i started a law degree. Now q1 year away from qualifying as a solicitor. Never to old to chase a dream.
Imagine a MJF vs LA Knight feud
When LA Knight goes unscripted, then LA kills MJF, bro.
@If you can’t breathe without it, then do it. If you can, forget about it. “One of the greatest quotes I’ve heard!
Ddp knows what he’s talking about trust 😂 he came in late but the man ended up giving Goldberg his best match became a heavyweight champion hall of famer and now helps people with ddp yoga true goat 🐐 right here age is only a number
when did 35 become old your in the prime of your life at 35
You are not factoring in the body of a wrestler who has been wrestling since they were young. Wrestling takes a big tole on your body.
You got to take into account most wrestlers start at 18-21 years of age. By the time you get to 35 you've been in the business for over a decade. Five years on the independent and if you make it to WWE that's at least 8 more years of wear and tear. It takes a toll on the body. I could see DDP's perspective though but I think this is Chris's perspective.
LA Knight does remind me of DDP in that he's a charismatic journeyman. He's the kind of guy the audience can get behind because they genuinely want to see him get his time to shine after a career of being overlooked.
Feel...the...YEAH!!!!
The Game is jealous cause it's LA Knights game now
Ppl forget LA NIGHT been wrestling 21 years so it's not started late he just getting noticed on bigger platform WWE
Love DDP telling it how it is. You get sweet FA without sacrificing parts of yourself for it. And it takes a lot desire and passion to be willing to put up that kind of sacrifice.
BANG! Of YEAH!
Great interview as always. One thing I did hear is that they did not give him the money in the bank contract because he was too old. But isn’t Damian Priest also 40 years old? age is only a number in the wrestling business but I guess it depends on who you are. I hope they push this man to the moon.
40 aint old its a perfect time indeed
Some ppl forget Undertaker was in his 40s during his championship feud with Edge
ddp and love la knight
yeah!
3:10 Man, this advice is not just for wrestlers, its for everyone, all human beings working their ass off to make their life better.
He aint wrong about that la knight is a mega star and will be the next world champion 💯
Let’s go, DDP!! I love his take on LA Knight. YEAH!
DDP is inspiration hist motivational vid on Facebook awesome
He doesn’t even look old.
Thank you CVV.
DDP got way over in WCW at 40. DDP debuted in WWE in his 40s, which is similar in some ways like LA knight. Started his career around 35. That is amazing in of itself.
LA Knight is my fav active wrestler
I knew he had IT when I saw him as eli drake 8 years ago. Glad he's finally getting his chance.
Thanks, DDP!
LA Knight is my absolute favorite.
Love DDP’s story and he’s an even better human. Thank you DDP.
DDP is one of the true GOATs.
0:09 this gave me flashbacks to the time Hulk Hogan botched that promo.
Pre-pandemic, I saw LA Knight (As Eli Drake) at an Impact! Wrestling show in Windsor, Canada. He cut a promo that was definitely high level mic work, and he had a good wrestling look, and good ring skills. I wasn't surprised to see him show up in WWE, albeit repackaged a bit, but even 4-5 years ago you could tell he could be star material.
Cody is set to dethrone Roman so that leaves knight on course for the world title- problem for me is Seth isn’t a hated enough heel to balance la knight’s popularity… maybe knight vs priest after the cash in- especially considering priest knocked him off the ladder at MITB
No! nobody wants to see cody vs roman again, its boring. LA should dethrone Roman coz he deserves to be face of company. cody can go after seth.
@@buntyskb Brock targetted Cody because he wanted to test Cody and make sure he's ready for Roman. Why the F would Cody go after Seth esp since JD(Balor/Priest) is going after Seth right now? JD knows they won't be taking the title from Roman.
@@hibaricloudz98 there is no guarantee that Priest would have a successful cash in. And Wrestlemania is still away, so Seth needs to be busy with JD for a while. Cody also started a feud with Seth this monday. And when Cody came back, his first opponent was Seth and they had a long feud, so them feuding now to complete Cody's quest winning world title makes much more sense than randomly pitting cody against roman again.
@@buntyskb yes they do.
YO IT'S ME it's me it's DDP! (L.A Knight)
DDP is such a legend on so many levels.
I saw ddp as a kid in the mgm after havoc, and he’s the coolest dude
LA Knight is everything going for him right now from in ring ability to being phenomenal on the mic. His mic skills is comparable to Ric Flair and The Rock just amazing❤
LA Knight is WWE's current goldmine and i hope and swear to god they won't ruin him.
LA Knight not getting his push yet is likely down to 2 things:
They are building him up.
Or...the back has seen something, maybe a lack of work ethic, maybe he doesn't get along in the back??
WWE don't deserve LA Knight let's be honest
WWE does not give LA Knight unscripted promos
LA Knight goes far with his promos if wwe give that.
People blow the age thing out of proportions, it doesn't matter if he's 40, they can squeeze 5-10 good years out him which is more than enough. Most of the legends people love have had 10 years or less as top stars. Steve Austin, Rock, Cena, Batista etc.
DDP is a legend and a true inspiration.
Hes exactly right
Its not the booking , its the work ethic
Who were dustys 5 friends i am going with ddp, magnum, ric flair he fell off a few times, nikitta koloff and trips.
Love DDP man, so underrated
Sleeping on the floor of an ice rink doesn't sound bad if you're getting to get in the ring and get to go.
Honestly LA Knight is kind of the new DDP in a lot of ways. He’s a guy who scratched and clawed from the bottom and he organically received the love of the crowd for it. And like DDP, he was thought to be too old for any kind of major push. I really hope the push he is finally getting now sticks and goes all the way to the top.
LA Knight is over like rover…..Push Him!
True talk.
Ddp blew up at 40 yrs old. Batista was hitting his late 30s when he became world champion. So there u go.
It baffles me how it has taken LA Knight this long to become "WWE level" talent. What have WWE been doing this whole time? they really could have got longevity out of this guy (20 maybe 30 years) they dropped the ball on him big time. It's ok saying "well maybe he was n't ready" 10 or 15 years ago , but isn't that part of their job to develop their talent? Anyway enjoy him while he's still around and still at his peak , the guy is the total package.
Exactly the age argument is such BS
Love la knight not to old better than half the people on the rosta they have hope he wins royal rumble 2024 yeah!!!!
Batista was already 40 when he became a main eventer. There's plenty of time for LA Knight.
He was actually in his late 30s. But ueah. I getcha
I hope they don’t drop the ball with him. This guy still has a good 3-5 year solid run left. Ziggler is that age and can still perform yet they put him out to pasture.
DDP is the best human in wrestling.
In the real world not everyone achieves there dreams. There is nothing wrong with being a working man.
La Knight has been around for 20 years, he is only getting noticed now
And that's how it is. Yeah.
Lebron James is almost 40, and dude is still a top 10 player. Better than 100% of the guys half his age.
DDP KNOWS about debuting later, and he caught fire the exact same way, and heres the thing, LA knight is the same as Eli Drake, this dude has been doing this character for yearsssssss and its finally getting completly over, dude knows this character inside and out, which is likew weird for wwe because theyre always tweaking your character
He ain’t too old for nothing means he is too old for something
Considering they just put the U.S. belt on Mysterio who turns 49 later this year.
Easy for DDP to say, when he most certainly holds the elixir of life and the scroll of immortality somewhere in his house. Mans is sixty bloody seven, look at him! XD
i think La Knight needs to be the one to end Romans reign as champion. He is a fresh challenger some one who will have great promo battles with Heyman and Roman it would one heck of a program regardless if La Knights wins the Title or not Yeahhhh
Especially with advancements in diet and fitness guys can go much longer.
Batista became a top guy of the company when he was 35/36. He can still have a solid 7 year run before it catches up with him
Lol I did an mma fight at 44 (my first), opponent was 28
People need to realize most of the wwe roster is older than 38/39.
La knight has spent 20-23 years Wrestling and haven’t had a major spot light
Miz It was just 5-6 years for him to become the star
MAJOR DIFFERENCE THATS WHY KNIGHT HATES MIZ cause all he does it Whine about his current situation At least he was A Major star once
La knight could dream to be that
Miz is only a star, not a megastar. LMAO
Knight have the potential to be the face of the company. Call him overrated, but WWE dont have much drawing power like Knight since John Cena or maybe even CM Punk
@@suiken3149 Brock Lesnar Retiring soon Soooo and Half the roster is 38++ in age so things are getting dicey
Well to be fair, The Miz became one of the major players because his reality star background. He was on one of MTVs most popular shows at the time. I still remember him promoting himself as "The Miz" on one of the last seasons of The Challenge he was on. I'm not taking anything away from him at all but that background help him alot with connections and etc to get into WWE a lot easier than your average joe.
@@HTV315 They have plenty of young guys on the roster. Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, Dom, Carmelo Hayes, etc.
@@suiken3149 Grayson sucks for real
He is Twitter champion 😂
Plus it’s not like he’s debuting HES BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS !!!!
Miz shook him.
why is everybody acting like 40 hasnt been the new 25 in WWE for the last 15 years. look at ALL the stars they’ve pushed
goldberg
brock
AJ
priest
finn
shayna bazler
kofi and miz who are feautured all the time
sheamus
edge
you can keep going and going and going. i think it’s such a stupid excuse that’s only been brought up in Knights case
SELF HIGH FIVE
We debuted at 17 and have been on the mat with a lot of cool names since the 1900s. Me and my tag are still out there. You just wouldn't know how many are out there outside of WWE.
