I imported that EM1 00LS4166 back around 2007 , a girl bought it off me who and had it for 5 or 6 years .. I reckon she couldn’t spell the word VTEC never mind hit the high cam .. the car had an easy life while she had it ..I think I still have pictures from when it was stock .. nice video as always fellas

I fucking love the AE86 manga panel you have on the wall, your workshop is my dream workshop. Multiple AE86s, an RX7 FC, a lift, an upstairs and all that.
Just exactly what I was asking for! Real work with a touch of nonsense. And the vtech is wonderfully aggressive and purrs like a tiger (which can’t actually purr) when given full throttle.

Ek's are so rare in Belgium and Croatia where I spend a lot of time and they really deserve saving, I love these things and it gets me so emotional that they are becoming so rare

I bet it's leaking from the lower left windshield corner. It's a common problem with EK's. There is a weld just below the windshield that rots and then water streams in the foot well. Mine was like that until it magically got clogged up with crap and fixed itself.

I had one back in around 2008 and I fookin loved it. It was just imported from Japan, very low miles and it was the cleanest second hand car I've ever owned. Absolutely zero rust and it was mint. Often some random blokes were pulling next to me on stop lights asking me, is it for sale? ;D It was black on black, factory tinted windows, bullet. At some stage I was pulled over by Gards so many times, it was ridiculous, I was fed up and sold it. Wish I never did ;(

Aren't the wheel stud pattern 5 x 114.3 but the EK is 4 x 100 originally?
EK9's are 5x114.3, but yeah the rest are 4x100, so it has a conversion I'm guessing

I feel proud that i never ever owned a vtec, I've drove a modified dc2 which was shit, also drove a standard ep3 also shit, i was in a redtop mk3 astra gsi racing a ek9 at a galway cruise and the astra won, what am i missing about the love for the vtec?
Since no one has answered you. I’ve owned almost 10 different Hondas not a single one of them has ever left me stranded or had a catastrophic failure. B series, K series, and now the new L series turbo all build stupid power on a frugal budget. The engines are like building blocks. Most B and D series external parts are interchangeable. And to top it all off the golden age Hondas come with double wishbone suspension making them excellent track performers out of the box.

You've probably done your research on maintaining them, but I still want to stress taking good care of it. I've met too many RX8 owners who shouldn't have bought an RX8. The growing scarcity of those cars is imo the result of people mistreating them until the engines detonate (or they park them up a tree)
