She does now! I soaked it in WD-40, then CTC Electrical Cleaner, then added 5 drops of fluid. Will probably need to inspect again after a little run time.

This is some really old track that came with the 262 steam engine, I think it might work for one of the under the Christmas tree loops.

Nice John, my nephew bought one of these post war K-4's at a train show, He's a Pennsy guy, and a postwar guy already at age 15. lol I didn't even know Lionel made a proper Pennsy type boiler k4. My Dad had one as a kid too, really neat engine.

They're great runners with Magne-traction and a whistling tender. I like the high boiler plate headlight, squared firebox and PRR Keystone.

Thank you! It seems like the smoke fluid works better than pellets, which aren't easy to find at a reasonable price. They both smell the same too.

I followed your advice , using the WD40 and CTC Electric Clear worked great , my 2046 might be my best smoker , (I also made sure the air passage was clear)

Smokes pretty good John! I'm not much of a smoke fan, due to my allergies, but I may look into trying some of this stuff out!

JT's Mega Steam works really well. But make sure you clean out any smoke pellet residue before switching, or you'll have a chalky mess to deal with. 😉

Looks great, did you clean the unit or rebuild it ?

It was getting gummed up with smoke pellet residue, so I soaked it in WD-40 then CTC Electrical Cleaner. 5 drops of smoke fluid seem to do the trick. Thanks!

thanks, so the WD-40 dissolved the pellet residue ?

It seems like it did the trick. Then the CTC removed any WD-40 residue.
