The GNX was heavily downplayed. Because of government restrictions. With light after market modes. It was a beast unleashed. And with some real work. A god on tires
Notice all those engines had turbocharging! I Said It before and I'll say it again, if GM had continued it's turbocharging technology from the 80s we would have dominated the 90s and future!
Most not all. The 2016-2024 Camaro V6 is naturally aspirated. The manual is about a 5.1 to 5.3 0 to 60 but the automatics in both 8-speed and 10-speed, they're more like 4.8-5.1 seconds
@chriscole4717 what does have to do with my statement? And more than half of GM vehicles are turbocharged, from 3 cylinders to 6 cylinders cylinder. So you are telling me if they didn't continue developing turbocharging for 40 straight year, like the JDM we wouldn't be in a better position today? That doesn't make logical sense. 🙄
I so miss my 2014 Taurus SHO with the Performance Package! It looked identical to the one at 0:35! I had a simple "plug & play," Gearhead tune, CAI, simple exhaust, etc... and on a Mustang Dyno I was at 500HP and Torque to the crank. It's on my channel. Being AWD I would be Mustang 5.0, Camaro V8s and other TRUE 2-door sports cars. It would be SO funny to see how mad they would get by being beat by a large family sedan!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
@@TheRealMattFromWiiSports It's on my channel, I can't remember - nothing crazy but decent and it was fun when in Track mode, I could get it sideways and have fun then go pick up my family and groceries and get my back massaged from the seat.

Real quick- some said that every car on this video is turbocharged, but the V6 Camaro is the LGX; it is the naturally aspirated version of the Cadillac V's (can't remember which one) LGW engine. We got rid of our gen 1 coyote for a 2018 v6 Camaro (8 speed automatic). 2016 to 2024 has the same v6, and I was surprised to see it stated that it does 0 to 60 and 5.3 seconds and had a top speed of 149 mph. It's usually about 5.3 seconds 0 to 60 for the manual, but the automatics are a decent bit faster. They're closer 4.9 to 5.1s, 155mph top speed. GM definitely makes a fun V6. It was dead even with our mustang gt (1st year for coyote). I'd say if you're going to buy one, get it with the NPP dual mode exhaust option.
In Australia we had the Ford Falcon XR6 sprint that did 0-100 in 4.5 seconds. It was made in 2016. There is a 2003 XR6 Turbo that has done 7.76 1/4 mile. The XR6T is a 4.0 L inline 6 cyl.
Impressive list for, GM. Such engine improvements, now if y'all could do something about them gasket leaks in the powertranes, when they hit 100k. That would really be Impressive

GNX was cool but the 89 20th anniversary Trans Am has an upgraded GNX engine, Pontiac underrated the power & torque so the Corvette would still be gm top car but the TTA was faster, Not as fast as current technology but with minimal upgrades it would be just as fast
Well first the CTS-V had the 6.2 liter V8 supercharged. 650 hp. So you got that wrong. The replacement is the CT5-V Blackwing. Which is 670 hp. What you’re missing is Cadillac decided to put a V on several cars in the CT platform. So the CT6-V, the CT5-V the CT4-V all got different engines that are less than the previous V cars. So there were only 2 V cars previously. The CTS-V which had the supercharged V8 and the ATS-V which had a 3.6 liter twin turbo which put out 465 hp and 445 torque. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. That car is also now the CT4-V Blackwing. If it doesn’t have Blackwing it’s not a true V Cadillac. For some stupid reason they started throwing the V on several models. Edit I own a 2017 ATS-V with the 8 speed auto.
@@bobboy5508 you literally wrote that paragraph for no reason. The CTS has a trim that I'm referring to called V-Sport. And it shares the same engine as the ats-v but detuned to 420 hp. It a 3rd gen only trim. Go google it. It's a few channels on youtube with them too.
