I always think this as the canonical ending for X3, that would explain why Doppler never returns in the next games, and plus this would explain why Zero can't use his Z-Buster in X4 (it was caused by the injury presented in this ending)
Nop, it can't be canonic because when Zero uses his saber sigma says that he can always back to haunt the hunters, but in the doopler ending he does not say this, indicating that he was gone for real in this ending, but if he was gone for real, x4 and foward events would not happen.
@@novomundo7559 well, just because he doesn’t say it doesn’t mean it still can’t happen. Besides, he was supposed to die for good in X5, and he was brought back by someone else in X6, so…….
Actually like this ending more, it's more catarthic see Doppler triying to redeem himself taking Sigma with him and explain why we never knew of him again after X3
Pointless? After seeing how really messed up Sigma is in MMX4 (more erratic and chaotic, less capable of rational actions), I dare to say the Doppler vaccine did actually have a very strong effect on Sigma. It started corroding his programming.
But again, Sigma will spread the virus much more wider on other reploids. Doppler's sacrifice isn't necessary to X for him to escape but it is very important to other reploids.
2:36 That riff starts when the word 'sorrow' appears, it's so effective, both sad and *heartening*. It's bittersweet, X's won the battle but he can never put an end to the endless fight between humans and mavericks. And so he turns his mind to Dr. Light and he questions about his Fate and what has the doctor planned for him. I saw that as an almost religious-like moment (and it fits since he's practically human!). It was so 'weird' but mostly fascinating
It would have more consistency for the megaman x4, because if you notice sigma has a different body in that delivery it will even look like a Dr. Dropper
I honestly wish we got a alternete sequel that takes place after the bad ending because I always wondered what events after this ending would look like cause we all know X and Zero’s stories all the up until their death’s in the zero series and Resurrection with them becoming biometals in the Zx series but you just have to wonder assuming Sigma’s gone for good in this ending what will X and Zero’s stories look like after the events of this ending? Will things go better for them in this scenerio or would it be even worst?
Guys i want help i played all the stages in Megaman X3 virtual console in New 3ds Xl, and in the screen that shows all the stages and choose what stage you want to play, in the bottom and center of the screen, there is the stage with the leter D, and this is the last stage, but after the battle with final boss , i didnt see an ending video like this here. So you know what is going on, i am very dissapointed, because i waiting to see an ending video like this here but nothing happens. The game is like i have more to play but nothing else exist to play. It's not nice when you don't see an ending video. And i can't understand if i missing something, because the last stage is coloured, in the screen with all the stages, and all the other stages have grey coloure that means i have played them and finished them.
You have to get Zero's Sword, as it's story related, and to get it, it's been a while, but here: To obtain it, Zero must pass through the one boss door that he can enter in the entire game. It's found on the second station of Dr. Doppler's fortress, and is the first door in the level. It leads to the sub-boss Mosquitus. Defeating the sub-boss with Zero will cause him to be severely injured by its explosion. Zero will then pass the Beam Saber to X before teleporting out to Dr. Cain's lab, becoming unavailable afterwards. Make sure you don't lose as Zero at any point in the game, as it will make it impossible to do the above. Hope that helps.
Alternatively, getting Zero killed at any point of the game locks you into this ending. However, getting the Z-Saber is preferable to having Zero die. That being said, for Mosquitus to appear, you need to have killed Vile MK II with either Spinning Blade (Crush Crawfish) or Ray Splasher (Neon Tiger) after finding the teleportation device within Crush Crawfish's stage, Blizzard Buffalo's stage, or Volt Catfish's stage. I usually do that in Volt Catfish's stage as it's the easiest one to find, but you have options.
@@theonewhowrotethis5681 Back in 1995 when X3 first came out, I had no guide book. It wasn't until YEARS later that I found out that you could obtain Zeros Sabre. Such a weird and very specific order of events to have that happen. I would've never have figured that out on my own.

Zero loses his buster in mmx1 when vile's armor explodes

1:28 It was at this point when X remembered he could teleport, thus rendering Doppler's sacrifice kinda pointless.
I don't think he can teleport without an opening, one that the explosions could've easily opened up.
Yeah, but he's teleported into and out of enclosed spaces before.

This ending is so fucking awesome, with Doppler's theme playing, he *TAKES SIGMA DOWN WITH HIM!*
Really subverting the Boss theme thing with that, no?

Same here!
I liked the Zero ending better

@@popgoesvideosgames7066 oh shoot I never realized that. That actually clears up some unanswered questions.
This is the true ending... this suits the game more than Zero ending (hitting the Virus with Z-Saber, lol)
This ending remind me how Darth Vader dead
A Z-saber with anti-sigma vaccine though
I will keep praying for a "Playable Doppler hack"

Imagine being able to play as Doppler and the nightmare police and fighting maverick hunters!?

I like this ending better personally, even though I like Zero more than X
Part of me can’t help but feel like shit when you let Zero die.
Only games where Zero "Dies" is 1, 5, and Zero 4
He just becomes DAMAGED in 3
So Dr. Doppler is not bad guy
well, when u beat him,he said something like i was corrupted like he was affected by sigma virus,so he used to be a good scientist
He went Maverick, but managed to design a countermeasure to Sigma Virus
You just need to lose Zero, saber or not.
X why did you have to cuss
He didn't know he was cussing
