Your wrist can move in three directions, the first, used in this video, a gesture like saying "goodbye". The second, a gesture like knocking on a door, and the third and the one that should be used mostly for arpeggios, a back and forth between pinky and thumb. At great speed, the technique you are using in this video becomes simply impossible to perform since you have no time to accomplish the rotation shown in this video. All that said, it is always a good idea to practice things with many different techniques and your smart body will kind of choose the right way of playing it with a slight combination of all techniques together. But I wanted to clarify this for people that are just starting and maybe get frustrated when going faster.
Excellent lesson Huw. No fluff.. Straightforward and informative.. Thank you.
Thank you for this helpful lesson, with the correct fingering.
Could do one on Augmented and Dominant 7th Arpeggios? .. Thank you..
Thank you so much! ❤
