I really like what Joey said at the end about not forgetting people who helped your career. When you see a big star in comedy, movies, music, sports whatever, a lot of people helped them get there. Really no matter what you do even outside of entertainment if you find success don't forget who helped you. There are no self made people. Someone gave a spot in a show when you weren't known, gave you your first instrument, went to bat for your idea with their boss, took a chance on hiring you for a position etc.

If you haven’t already go watch After Life, Gervais’ most recent work, truly changed my life maybe that’s because of the timing of what was happening in my life at the time but if you’re feeling depressed or whatever then give it a try. Even if you don’t need to improve yourself you can still appreciate how well wrote and directed the show is by far my favourite piece of his work, that’s the difference between him and a lot of the ‘Hollywood types’ his integrity is intact because his work means something to both him and the audience. 02:54 - The show Joey is talking about is called After Life. I watched both series on NetFlix and it brought out every immotion in me. It is brilliant.
The first video i saw of you, yu seem like a very wise person, subscribed and +Rep
Joey has a heart of gold. That story about how he calls the booker once a month? Fucking beautiful. That's how a good man behaves.
Apologies for the essay but felt the need to put it out there 😂
I thought it was awful. A decent premise that ran out of steam early, and gets verrry schmaltzy and dull.
Pepsi Lovin' Asian Janitor aye, love the man, but I was over it 2 eps in, lots of recycled jokes
Pepsi Lovin' Asian Janitor that’s fair enough, like I said I think it resonated with me because of where I was at in life at the time but tbh I think I’d still have enjoyed it regardless.
Omg me too. I'm waiting so patiently for the new season!!! I have been a huge fan of Ricky for years, he keeps getting more amazing
My father passed away suddenly and it honestly does kinda help I'm not even close to finishing it but I love it so far
"You had to make your own way here "
Love how Joey mentioned that line
Enjoyed that interview.....I'm from Ireland, not a clue who either of these dudes are but great to hear straight talk.
Check out joey diaz clips. And shuffle it. Joeys a good person, lots of stories to tell :)
I loved the entire monologue, but my favorite joke was definitely the description of Judy Dench ploppin herself on the floor, lifting her leg and licking her own "minge" (British slang for female genitalia). I lost it hahaha. And then he followed it up by imitating the coughing up of a furball and saying she's "OLD SCHOOL" lol.
the amount of celebraties that were offended was amazing
Kyle they pretended to be offended , to look politically correct.
Pete adam driver gave no fucks😭🤣
@@bigcuzzosheev7463 De Niro is always crackin up when Gervais is on stage. Pitt en DeCaprio also, they seem allright to me.
There were pleeeeenty that weren't. There was no reaction from Scorsese, Leo wasn't, Dench wasn't even there I think, no reaction shown by Tim Cook, the Hanks reaction was overhyped. I heard a lot of laughs. People are making a storm in a tea cup out of this. Most of them didn't give a fuck and went straight back to normal life the next day
@@davidkymdell452 ugh! Nobody said they flipped the fuck out and marched to the court house, people felt joy because somebody gave them a voice. You're a irritating little prick though.
Uncle joey is a true man. Honest, loyal, and genuine. Thank you for being a better example than most sir.
So amazing to hear your voice Joey
I respect this guy after today coz he don't forgot the people that helped him. What a humble guy!
“What are those people called that if you eat cake, they give you cake?” 😂😂😂
Love your stuff joe and Joey.
Joey D is such a beautiful soul. Don't care for his comedy. But he's got a pure heart. That's rare in this world
"These people could eat a scab off a dog's knee" bruhhh
"And here's a short clip from 'The Irish Man' that's only 88 minutes long' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i haven't had laughed THAT HARD N LOUD IN A LONG WHILE...
Gotta love Joey Diaz, a standup guy that always keeps it 💯
I like how he manged this conversation. Very humble but gentle. Joey has very good speaking skills.
I love joey for calling people even when he doesn't have to just to say hello thats some old school shit people just don't do anymore but they should! I honestly try to call more people on the phine now or talk to them in person its so much more satisfying then typing into a box and hitting send

Well said, Sir.
God bless people like Ricky and Joey as the world is going through pandemics / lockdowns and losing our freedoms more by the day we need people like them to speak out on the b,s, that's happening these days 👍
It says something when people are more pissed off about someone calling attention to things like people being accepting of paedophilia than they are about the person who was doing it or the people that allowed it to go on...
Say what you will about Joey’s past, he is a stand-up guy and would be with you in a dark alley if you needed help! Good people and he doesn’t forget those that helped on the way up...
So I'm in a dark alley with Joey. Diaz and I need help what the fuck is uncle Joey doing to me?
😛
His heavy wheezing will alert the authorities
what a lovely guy Joey is, not forgetting people who looked after him! he is the only guy I know that does that, he is a top man!
Oh boy. THANK YOU BOTH OF YOU. Especially you Joey diaz. We NEED the TRUTH.. and are too. Keep telling it like it is, never mind the bollox. Mate keep speaking it for us and you will ALWAYS have loyal listeners. Respect from the UK,
“There ain’t no movie” 😂😂😂
Bruh that took me out xD
The fact that none of the celebs raised their hands about Weinstein doesnt bother me until they get up on their soap boxes and preach to and lecture everyone else.
Agreed. I can't really fault a person prioritising their own career over the 'rumours' about Weinstein. I take issue when those same people start preaching about others doing the same and demanding praise for it

Covid 19: hold my beer
No one can cancel Ricky. He produces all of his own stuff with his own/ his friends money. There are limitless platforms you can put yourself on now days. What he did at the golden globes could be a turning point for comedians in today's over PC society.
They insult us on a daily basis, it was nice seeing them get it back.

"There are people with one foot in and one foot out." He sure got that right, they are called hypocrites and let me tell ya, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Lee is so proud of himself that he new the word Enablers, he couldn't stop giggling, felt included 🤣
I keep feeling like the Hollywood lid will be blown wide open pretty soon
Documenting your thoughts shows wonderful hindsight. Welcome to the awakening.
And like most things these days, we'll see just how built into the core the corruption is and that like most corrupt things, no real change will probably come of it.
Joey is such an amazing person, I hope to appreciate friends as much as he does one day!
AMEN Joey, AMEN.
Excellent
Well said Joe. Tom Hanks made himself look like a damn fool that night. Brad Pitt, De Niro, Scorsese and Leo were loving the comedy from Ricky. Ricky’s a comedic genius and had the balls to say that no one in Hollywood would. Bravo Ricky.
I hear Tom Hanks is involved in a lot of shit right now! Do your research
Don't be fooled by Scorsese and DiCaprio. They're just as bad.

Joey Diaz has a solid gold heart and I fuckin love him
Ye Joeys a piece of shit but we love him.

ricky gervais just told one of the truths of the world kudos to him !!!!!!!!
Love listening to this guy
I love that he said “ it funny because it’s true” - all comedians are angels, they have wings to be able to fly above all the BS the rest of us have to put up with
Joey Diaz saying he still keeps in touch with people that helped him out is class act
Damn straight, well done Joey
As soon as he said "I still call all the guys who gave me work cause no comedians call those guys" I subscribed. What a legend.
Joey and Lee know eachother so well they hint at something and the other one knows that they’re talking about right away “enabler”

Joey, you’re a class act for checking on people. It does crush you a bit when you met them in person and see the coldness. I only watch old movies with dead actors, anyways.
The joke about them having to get their own flight was his best, and the reaction was perfect. Silence
i like when Joey snapping his fingers :D
Thank you Joey

Really like what Joey diaz said about checking in with people who helped him out in his past before he got really famous and big as a comedian. He's right, people should always respect and value those people they helped you out when they were higher status in life You shouldn't just throw them away. A lot of people do that they get bigger and then they just forget about the people that help them out.
True dat!!
