These experiences and all the other horror stories I’ve read about should teach everyone important things: always listen to your instinct/ gut feeling if something doesn’t feel right, believe in God, always use situational awareness, have friends, and always carry a gun when going places like in a park at night, or find some new alternative to doing that.
i worked for TGI Fridays for 12 years. First off no one who works in the restaurant business uses the term "customers" or "waiters". Customers are called "guests" and waiters and waitresses are always referred to as "servers". Also if a manager closed the restaurant early they would be fired. It doesn't matter if it is a corporate restaurant or a franchise, if the restaurants hours are open till 2 am the manager can not close the store till 2 am. The distract mangers would call the store at the late hours to make sure the building was still operating plus all sales are tracked by computer systems. The only thing a manager can do if the restaurant has no business is cut all the servers and leave the bartender on to take any tables that might come in. And the last point and this is the most glaring one that proves this story is complete bullshit is that HOURLY EMPLOYEES DO NOT GET FREE FOOD. Again this is true for both corporate and franchised TGI Fridays. Only managers get free food, hourly employees get 50% off during their shift and 25% off when they are not working. This is true in any chain restaurant I've ever work at which is basically all of them since I've worked in so many for the past 25 years. The only believable part of this story is that guest do become obsessed with attractive female servers and become very creepy. For the record to anyone out there DO NOT hit on a female server, not only is it inappropriate and incredibly rude but it often boarders on sexual harassment. If you have ever wondered if a female server likes you or is only friendly and flirty because she wants a good tip allow me to answer that for you. SHE WANTS THE TIP! She's not interested, you're not special, and if you could hear inside her head at that moment you would know how repulsed you make her.
Jon Skuza very well spoken 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾as a female who's worked in customer service for only 5 years, I've been hit on by creepers a lot while working. Oddly enough it happened mostly while I was working security for the formerly owned Allied-Barton security services, and when I worked at Goodwill. We get paid to be kind, even to obsessive, asshole customers. It's a shame how much people take advantage of those in customer service. 😔
