You’re 100% right saying paints are alive, energy is flowing through you and into the paint! The canvas is coming alive! You’re not sounding crazy!😁 You’re sounding like a true creative spirit! 👍😁 It turned out looking magical!🥰 I keep needing to add to my comments because your words do resonate with me! Painting, an outlet to express yourself and love the results is definitely therapeutic and fulfilling on a soul level, for sure!😁
Thank you so much, 😘I appreciate you understanding my perspective, our perspective. I really do feel like there is a give-and-take as I create and play with the pains. So I guess I’m not ready for the loony bin just yet.😅
These colors are so great, playing off eac other so well. I believe your customer will be thrilled. I love your enthusiasm. Last year the local paper did an article about me & my art work, one of the things i said about my art was the excitement i get over the blending of colors, this proves it. Great job Louise!
If you’re crazy, then I’m crazy because I share in your excitement when creating something magical! I loved getting to know you better during FAE and can’t wait to get to reconnect during FAB DC! 4 FABulous Blonde Artists! 😂❤
Absolutely beautiful and graceful as always, Louise. It reminds me of The Lion King, aka Le Roi Léon in French, & El Rey León In Castilian and Latin American Spanish.
These are fantastic!!!! Love them and the color combo!!!! I want to tell you my coasters are coming out better and better!!! Learning to slow down and put the proper position of my little leafblower!! You have had a great part of my improvement!!! So thank you very much!!!!
Don’t be embarrassed about how you think about your paints. One reason I feel capable of doing this, while at the same time saying I’m not an artist, is that I feel like I tell the paints what I would like them to do, I give them everything they need to do the job, and then it is up to the paint! I love that, because no matter what happens, it was the paint’s decision and I didn’t do a bad job. That also helps with the therapeutic aspects of fluid art!
Hi Phyllis, 😘😘believe me I understand I had two full gallons. I went through with bubbles and I had three different Lazy Susan‘s. I created that I had to scrape, fortunately while it was still wet because of air bubbles and how it ruined the composition in the peace. I have since purchased a vacuum chamber and pump which definitely helps me, and I use it fairly frequently now just to make sure I got my bubbles out. Since having it, I haven’t had a problem.
When you said it's alive, for some reason a scene from the Bride of Frankenstein flashed into my head. It was the Bride standing there hissing. The tricks our minds play on us. This color scheme is like the patterns on butterflies and moths. However , if you would like to spend time in a (insert Boris Carloffs voice) la-bor-a-tory, and see if you can make one of these lovely coasters fly, you can proudly yell IT'S ALIVE!
Yes Ozwald, paints are alive, they’re breathing in stocking and debating whether they’re going to work with you today or not. Sometimes they have hideous laughter on the piece. Sometimes they lay there quietly in surrender.😂😂😂😂
Hi Louise, I have just received my 24carat gold and my goodness its stunning. You always add Goldens irredescent bright gold, what difference does it make and should I get some. Many thanks.
Hi Elizabeth, I most often 95% of the time have the iridescent gold by golden in with the 24 karat because I think tones down the 24 karat a little bit and bring softness to it and the 24 karat itself is rather bossy. I find the two of them work well together, but that’s just my opinion and I work with the paints.
@@LouiseMcKayArt many thanks. I know what you mean it is rather strong but I love it. As yet haven't bought any piggies!! On my list when money allows. Which are your favourite piggies?
@@ElizabethPress-o6t honestly, I am not a huge piggy or mica Powder 🤫🤫🤫fan, my tube paints or Fluid paints work fantastically for me. If there is one piggy, I love it is the sea glass, but I do fine with the regular paints. When I do use TLP it’s often with a tube paint anyway. I was 2 years in before I even tried one!
@@ElizabethPress-o6t everyone does, great marketing for sure, but not a requirement. I personally think you’re better off learning with the regular paints before introducing the mica powders so that you have the technique in the process down first.
It’s fine you wouldn’t want the cork to the edge, first perfectly with 1/8” on all sides. You could by a sheet of peel/stick and cut to exactly, but that would be a pain!!
Beautiful work , forgive my ignorance , but is for advanced artists , No explanation about what each paint pour consisted of , what were the ingredients of each one . . 😐

The Cork on Amazon is 4" but the tiles these days from Home Depot and Lowes are 4 1/4 so what do you do about that?
