The beauty and depth of Mozart are accessible to all sensitive people. But the features of his musical shaping and thought were available to units and so far nothing has changed. Among these units was Schoenberg. Therefore, these comments are just the tip of the iceberg of Mozart's unattainable greatness.
The presence 2 violas gives to this composition such force and sweetness at the same time that we may wonder why so many quartets and so few quintets! Sublime Mozart serenity as usual!
G minor: Mozart's magic key. Wonderful performance!!!
The best Mozart chamber work.
Thank.you! What a privilege to experience this wonderful quintet during these tiring times in the confines of my house in South Africa
Greetings to South Africa. The times are tiring indeed. I hope I can deliver soon more content after this cultural lockdown...
The nervous tempo goes very well with this perfect example of pure music in all its glorious abstraction. And the players are so well breathing together. Listening to the best music always is an erotic experience.
@@lopezpinon the tempo is a little faster, than it should be in my opinion
Beautiful performance, rhythmically incisive, wonderful tone and ensemble. This is a suitable partner to their splendid
performance of Mozart's C major quintet, K. 515.

Excellent and powerful Mozart exquisite played
Wow! Such a level, ones enjoy really the music!
Magnifique. Merci beaucoup !
Oui, le rythme est trop rapide!
Personally, I find most performances of this piece too slow and languid. I love the more agitated atmosphere created by the faster tempos of the fast movements (especially the first movement), which heightens the contrast with the slower. I also highly recommend the performance of this by Jascha Heifetz, et al. When performed as such, I find this piece quite evocative, similar to other chamber works like Schubert's quartets 14 and 15 which seem to be meditating on confronting mortality and grief.
Top!
9:40 II
14:04 III
21:38 IV
This is one of the greatest String Quintets ever composed. If I have any criticism of this performance, it's that some of the tempi are bit faster than usual. Mozart ability to write soaring melodies, such as those in the last movement, must have been God-given.
Yes, a bit too fast.
II.Satz ab 9 :40 - III.Satz ab 14 : 04 - IV.Satz ab 21 : 38
The 5 musicians are playing as ONE. Personally I prefer a division of the first violin against the rest Makes it sound more like individual voices
A pity he did not use 2 celli instead of 2 of violas. Schubert did !
Beautiful playing but it is missing the sorrowful element. They are too young yet.
Das Tempo ist zu schnell!
Mozart wrote "Allegro" on the score
@@garrysmodsketches , Allegro can be interpreted in different ways. Mozart forbade a "gehudel".
@@TrazommozarT The word "Gehudel" can be interpreted in different ways too. I don't speak German, but I looked it up and I guess that word means sloppiness? Ok, but what is sloppy is a matter of degree and opinion, just like with the term "Allegro".
@@garrysmodsketches "Hudeln" can also be translated as "rush". In this case, playing a piece of music too fast so that it sounds rushed. 🏃♂️🥵
@@TrazommozarT I don't know why you are bothering to argue this nonsense. I guess, in your view, "rushed" means something objective and measurable?...
