I’m sure you’re self aware of this but thank you for being such a great human! You’re knowledgeable, humble, enthusiastic, and so much more. I like how nobody at PFI and Boosted Boiz complains or is lazy, it’s so hard to find good people like that. Brent you provide a space for experienced people to demonstrate and share what they know with the new generation, which inspires me as well. Hey Brent, if you ever want to tune with a newer laptop and the USB-Serial adapter and have it be reliable, I have found that adding a few snap on ferrite core magnets on the cable solved all interruptions. Apparently those cables are very subject to ground interference from the engines charging system. Just a tid bit of info that helped me out, and I now share to help you sir, as you have for all of us over the years. Thanks brotha!

@@michaelsantiago4740 Not for an NSX. The Honda C30A was only used in the NSX so it's pretty expensive due to it's rarity. Iron sleeved aluminum block with titanium rods from the factory.

Brent you thought us to double check your basics. Check your timing, check your fuel, double check your plugs and coils. Double check for any kind of boost or exhaust leaks. You got this man.

How old is the fuel? That car has been sitting a long time.
It turned into varnish. Thats how old it is.
@@wf6951 I doubt that but it was probably sour. Or towards the edge of being sour. I use fuel stabilizer in everything, but you can sure tell the difference when the fresh fuel comes on.

I know it's a pricey piece Brent, but if you do change the turbo again, I would suggest going with the G35, either the 900 or the 1050. The smaller size of the turbo itself while flowing more should make it get up and boogie. 👍
i have a g25-660.. LOVE that turbo on my dc5 k24.. Its the perfect powerband for the street. Beautiful torque curve and spools by like 3500..
That exhaust is glowing hard on the run where it spit fire. Have some kind of restriction?
The exhaust itself is restriction, technically.
The nsx deserves a haltech with all the sensors for everything, every bell and whistle that haltech have... amazing car❤️

One of the cleanest imports of all time in my opinion. Not bad for a 1994 Acura/Honda and that red is super clean.

You can put a solid state in that old brick as well and it will speed it up quite a bit. Just clone the drive and you're good to go
NSX has always been my favorite honda..next to a 91 prelude and a 84 honda civic hatch..

Hey Brent, love the videos! I was wondering what IAT's were and perhaps you could do a smoke test? Maybe it's a turdo or maybe the life-size giraffe behind you made your intercooler pump forget to turn on ;) ...then again it could be a pinhole in a boost line

Could be the coils on the NSX, but here's a long shot.. Check your cams.. I've seen a Honda K series that had a misfire that had a broken exhaust cam pulley pin break causing the cam to wander as the cam & crank sensor was confused causing a misfire.. Keep up the Great work, love your attitude Brent.. If more people were as easy going as you were the world would be a better place..

Did you know that Dyno Sauce works as liquid tire chains in the snow?? Spray on, let it set up a minute or two and away you go. Avoid spinning it off. I'm sure it's what Amway sold 40 years ago. My buddy's Ford country squire station with Bald tires and an open diff would climb a mountain with Amway spray on traction. Sticky stuff in a can.
We should image that laptop and back it up. could probably also run it as a VM on your other laptop and pass through the USB -> serial adapter. But at least you would have a backup.

V1 you need old school lappy to tune. I had to buy an old used one for my Soup back in the day just because it wouldnt reliably connect to anything with adapters.

When they were built Japan had an agreement on horsepower for safety. They focused on the chassis and handling since they couldn’t put a bunch of power in it.
One with a smooth and linear 400hp would be great though.

When you were going through the mod list were you saying it had stock rods, with aftermarket pistons, sleeves, valvetrain etc. Or were you saying that ALL of that stuff is stock? If so, that gives me hope on pushing mine!
topnotchtsi I think he meant that everything was stock but he just tore it down and inspected it all and probably replaced the bearings.. I believe you’d be safe on pushing yours, I wouldn’t just go balls to the wall by any means but be considerate towards your mileage and run conditions on yours.
Edit: Stock except for the things he mentioned 🤘🏼

Yo Brent... you can get DB9 to USB adapters.... that way you don't need to use an antique with a serial port to tune. lol
