I was introduced to Stevie back in 1980. A summer late night when it was cool on a balcony in the village at UTC, speakers pulled outside the door, having a few beers and listening to several albums. Not a party, just chillin with a couple of friends. Some of the best years.

Yea..I hear you Vicky!😎 It's nice to rediscover our youth and realize how great the music of our generation was, soooooo much amazing artists making great music 👍
I had just left Air Force basic training and was in tech school at Sheppard Air force base. I called my oldest brother who knew i was a huge Stevie fan since I bought my first album, " Inervisions!" He told me Stevie had a new Album out and had i heard it. I had not. When I did get my hands on "Hotter than July ", i never put it down. I rented a stereo system and put one of the speakers in the hall on the dorm. I blasted that entire album every day and it got me through tech school and my first duty station in Guam. His music is the soundtrack of my life and I told him that every time we met. Much love to you Stevie.

The drummer for this track (and on "Do I Do") is Dennis Davis (d: April 2016). May he RIP. He also worked on 5 entire albums for Bowie in the late 70s (as well as on "Fame" for the _Young Americans_ album). He was amazing and sorely underrated. His work on Bowie's song "Look Back in Anger" is a master class.
As a genuine music lover and a Stevie and Bowie fan, thanks for that April. Too often session players get little or no credit. He was a superb drummer.
