Amen. There is no doubt in my mind the greatest Super Bowl halftime moment was Prince singing Purple Rain....in the rain. Gives me goosebumps thinking about what a perfect moment in time it was. The show producers were so afraid and explained to Prince that it would definitely be raining during the halftime show. They asked him if there was anything they could do for him. Possibly the most innovative genius in soul and pop music at the time… I don’t blame him at all for avoiding Stevie, as difficult as that sounds. I hardly listen to new music anymore. I always get too compulsive with scribbling notes and opening browser tabs, burdening myself with responsibility to evangelize lovely vibes to others. The upside is that I have a little more space to develop and share _my own_ musical vibes… I hope.
This sounds like BS. Prince would be kidding himself to think that he could avoid Stevie's influence simply by forbidding his music during recording. This whole thing is almost as unreal as it gets. one of teh most amazing songs written bu one of the most amazing artists, and then being joined by someone of equal stratospheric attainment
This is a beautiful moment. Sheila E brought Prince the guitar and before she did I want to believe she told Stevie “I’m gonna give Prince the guitar and when he stops playing the piano you can go back to the piano” Stevie goes back to the Piano and immediately plays what Prince was playing. Great musicians/artists…that band…professionals/masters…geniuses on that stage man !

Man...that Superstition groove was funky enough, but adding Prince's rhythmic guitar...so funky, it was DISGUSTING!! UGH!!! So good LOL
This people are not from this world ! So wonderful sound !
I'm very impressed
Those were the days peeps!! 2 legends! 🙏❤️🥰
Hello Sherry, how are you doing
I was name after, Mr. Stevie Wonder!!!! We was born to win!!!
What a rare treat indeed, two legends performing together.....oh to have been there to witness such an event....genius in music is rare and right there we can see two of America's greatest
Yeah, man. Sheila was on her game, too! So many gifts!!
@@bethelsdaclerk3077 Absolutely! She's a legend too!
Prince and Stevie =killer combination of experience and excellence 🎉🎉. 2 icons playing together from the heart and soul ✨️ 💓
Wow. These are two musical geniuses. So sad that we don't have Prince anymore.
How cool is that. Prince on stage with Stevie, funkiest stuff Ive ever seen or heard!
I could cry!!!❤️❤️❤️
Its doesn't get ANY better than these two sharing a stage. No, it does not.
Thanks for filming this moment when you couldve been living it.🥰
what i find amazing is that as Soon as Stevie sits down around 2:52, he immediately finds the top chord that Prince was slapping. This whole thing is almost as unreal as it gets. one of teh most amazing songs written bu one of the most amazing artists, and then being joined by someone of equal stratospheric attainment
Stevie s doing that with his left hand while standing sorry to disappoint
Ahhh… Stevie and Prince? Shyt!!!! 😀😀 They got our Prince. We still have our Stevie Wonder! CELEBRATE!!🎉🎉❤
This is incredible ! I think that the the key word for genius and friendship is modesty and generosity
Two of the biggest geniuses that were alive as contemporaries. Amazing.
Prince was genius. Full stop. 💜
Can you imagine going to a Stevie Wonder concert and Prince runs out on the stage!!!!!!!
As a rhythmically challenged white man, I can always count on Stevie and Prince to make me feel like I can dance a little better…lol
Jesus's how good is this
At first I was enjoying the whole aura of two greats on stage. But then I flashed back to Stevie playing "Purple Rain" as tribute to Prince and couldn't finish as he teared up. And well....It got to me.
😥
The Greatest of all time ( Stevie) with the greatest musician ( Prince) for all times. Respect.
Two absolute GIANTS! The musical genius on that stage is off the charts.
More talent than any one stage should have on it.
Criminal!
Pure facts.
I just love how everybody is having so much fun! The horn section is tight and there is so much talent on stage. She playing the mess out that tambourine!
One of the most, if not the most, talented musicians and guitarists the world has seen. His loss to us is immense. If you want to see a master at work, take a look at Prince playing 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' at George Harrison's tribute concert.
