Personally the Proto Man castle theme is one of my favorite in the series. To me, I get this feeling of "You don't wanna do this, but you have to" which, considering at this point you think you have to fight your brother to the death, is pretty fitting

"Megaman 5 introduces beat.....". Yes good old INSANELY overpowered beat. Seriously you could play the entire game through as beat alone and beat the game, it's the most powerful weapon megaman ever gets, and its basically Flappy bird with a psychotic streak!
One of my first personally owned MegaMan titles and, I must say, you once again murked these tunes to deadpan form. I particularly enjoy listening to your renditions (after first having heard them in full form) with only one earbud/headphone on (you see, I'm partially deaf in one ear). The more manually-implemented "monotonic" playback allows me to more easily differentiate between your backing rhythm/bass riffs and your lead melodies (which comes in handy for a synth player who is attempting to navigate certain songs without aid of notation/tablature). Major thank-you for your ability to turn tunes that would normally sound mediocre to the unaccustomed ear into symphonic works of full representative form. (Favorites were: 1: Crystal Man-as I can only imagine the rhythm and arrangement (Napalm Man in that note, too) may be difficult. 2 Gravity Man-the beautiful use of overtones and "progressively"-styled bass totally makes one of my favorite MM tracks exponentially more kick ass. 3. Wave Man- Already a personal favorite for the bright/cheery tone of the primary scaling helps automatically, but your perfect choice of timbre concerning the chosen instrumentation/MIDI effect is spot on!)
I've listened to Bit Brigade's rendition of the title theme and I wasn't sure if the distorted guitar would work... until I heard the "You got a new weapon" tune. That was perfection.
Tip from the pro: here are all the bosses' weaknesses: Robot Bosses: Gravity Man: Star Shield Charge Man: Power stone Napalm Man: Crystal Eye Gyro Man: Gravity Hold Wave Man: Charge Kick Stone Man: Napalm Bomb Star Man: Water Wave Crystal Man: Gyro Attack Protoman's Castle: Robot Boss 1 (the one with the tank wheels) - Water Wave. Robot Boss 2 (the one who walks back and forth with shield bars) - Napalm Bomb. Robot Boss 3 (the one who shoots freezing rings): Charge Kick. Robot Boss 4 - (Fake protoman): Star Shield. Dr. Wily's Skull Castle: Boss 1: Crystal Eye Boss 2: Gyro Attack Dr. Wily 1: Mega Buster Dr. Wily 2: Super Arrow Dr. Wily 3: Beat YW :)

The scrolling backgrounds were groundbreaking when this game came out. Also, fun fact: In Version 1 of this game, you could skip the Wave Rider "auto-scroll" sections just by touching the right side of the screen at any time!
