Hey! So I got my bike today and put about 25 or so miles on it just around town. What do you recommend for the mirror situation? I can't for the life of me see behind me like I should, regardless where it's at. My arm takes up most of the picture.
That's great hope you enjoy it, i'm still trying to find a decent set myself might be better with a mirror that folds the stock ones are small and still get in the way when riding trails always have to re adjust them after the trails
I'm picking one of these up on Monday, it'll be my first street bike. I've got plenty of experience on MX bikes and MX riding, so now I gotta get the street experience. The only hang up I had was deciding if 230cc is gonna be enough power, I'm used to 250cc motocross bikes (YZF-250), but I've also heard people say don't go lower than a 400 when it comes to street bikes. I guess I could always sell it in a year and get something bigger, when I got a bit more street experience eh? The only reason I am going for the dual sport is so that I can do some trail riding around here with my nephews and such, and still get on the road! heh. Anyways, great video. Thanks!
Definitely a good bike to start with you'll probably wanna upgrade before a year 😂 but that's funny I have a lot of experience in street bikes but not dirt bikes first dual sport 🤘
I've had the bike for 3 months and already want to upgrade 😭. Theres nothing in the same price range for dual sports though that has enough power for the streets.
@@shivpalpatine hehe I'm the original poster that said I was getting one soon. I had it for 1 month and now I'm on a 2020 Ninja ZX6R. I know the feeling of wanting more power
@@Drop3gears i dont have any personal experience with tires but i have done dozens of hours of research on the subject. 1st you have to go with stock rear tire size. (4.1-18 or 100/100-18) 2nd tire pressure is as important as the tire. (experiment close to home become an expert on tire pressure) 3rd i like the IRC GP-1 and Kenda 270. If you want a pure knobby that is street legal and cheap the Kenda K-760 Trakmaster II is the best i've found. (the best prices i've found for these are on revzilla) these 3 tires are under $100usd a set. Anyway hope the reserach i've done for my own klx230 helps. P.S. tusk brand tools from RMATVMC is cheap but not too cheap. have fun out there.
You have to press the two buttons but in a certain order If you still have the owners manual it should be in there they had to look it up at the dealer when I picked mine up 😭

I recommend taking the baffle out asap sounds way better 👌

Good video. But how about some commentary? How does it handle on the street? How fast were you going? Does it keep up with traffic?
I know i'm waiting for my mic to come, It handles great i was taking the sharp turns at about 60 -65 mph
Would you recommend this to someone with no riding experience who wants to start?

Technically yes but all depends on where you live here in ny anything above 50cc needs motorcycle license

East end of longisland ny that road I was on always has a lot of bikes going down it it's called mill road

@Redrum not for highways 😭 this one tops out at 76 anything past 76 and its bouncing off the Rev limiter so 65 is the comfortable top speed
