This is astral traveling (your soul leaving your body). This used to happen to me every night- I eventually learned to control it, and became more conscious within that state. It would get easier and easier to traverse my room, and I eventually felt safe and relaxed within that realm. But… it opens doors for other entities to invade, which is what Jerma saw, and I eventually saw. Now I don’t have much control, and avoid going there at all costs. I need a cleansing… and it sounds like Jerma does as well.
this phenomenon that you experienced is called a Out of Body experience. It's something that can happen during sleep paralysis. What you may see as demons or entities are most likely just a sleep paralysis demon your mind has conjured up using your fears as a basis. It usually isn't harmful, however, sometimes it may cause unwanted side effects which may require you to seek out a doctor. I am not a doctor myself, however this explanation I gave comes from the word of licensed doctors who have the proper experience with this sort of stuff.
