"You can't win a war, fighting with your brother" just popped into my head. I Googled those lyrics and found this song but I knew I knew it from somewhere! I don't even remember the last time I watched any wrestling!
This was my favorite song when I was younger playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007. I revisited the soundtrack from the game, and re-listened to this song again. I never realized though how powerful the message of the song was! I love it!
@@styletechnical Eh, I found SVR '06 to be very hit or miss, much rather the original Symphony of Destruction over the remix lol. SVR '05 was banging though, Breaking Benjamin, Powerman 5000, Styles of Beyond, Anthrax, Zebrahead and more, '05 had second best soundtrack imo, followed by '09 ^u^ Although King of the Mat, Pieces, Unretrofied and Start A War are some of my guilty pleasures lol
I met Chris Robertson for the first time today at a signing session at the Guitar, Amp & Keyboard centre in Brighton, UK. He's more humble than I expected. He and the rest of the band deserve all the praise they get.
I met the whole band some years ago, before leaving for the military. We got a bunch of stuff autographed and whatnot. While I was in, my buddy had met them all again, they told him to thank me and gave him some autographed gear for me. A few years after I was out, I met them all again at a local fair and they were great. They all took time to shake hands and BS with me, my buddy, and his young daughter.
I remember when my son was 5 he kept referring to "the Soundgarden part" and I listened to the bridge at 2:50 and holy shit, he was right. That does sound just like Soundgarden.
Here's what Chris told us about the video: Hurricane Katrina had just hit a year earlier, in 2005, and New Orleans was a place that was still in ruins, but there was such a strength and determination to come out of that city that when the record label was like, "You guys are on the road, where do you think we should shoot it?," We were like, "Let's go to New Orleans. Let's go down there. With this city showing all this determination right now and everything, let's capture some of that spirit in this video."
Chris Robertson is a crazy guitar player and lead singer, i love his style and if you can afford his £850+ PRS SE then you can get to sound like him, i doubt you can find a Budda amp like he used to use as he now uses PRS Amps, but choose what you think sounds best! and don't forget either a vox wah or a dunlop zakk wylde wah cos he used them both and now i think he uses his Zakk Wylde signature wah and i have seen him use a morley wah in his rig

The first time I heard this was back paying Smackdown vs Raw 2007 with my Dad. Yesterday I am happy to say I saw them live and when they played this song, it was amazing, as always :-D
Have to admit, I had a great time shooting the video with these guys, it was even more cool as hell being the face for the chorus, didn't know about BSC until the night before shooting the video, but these guys rock!!!
I was at Maximus festival last wednesday. And to hear this song live was fucking epic to me, favorite song from BSC. Thank you guys for coming to brazil, I hope you can come back solo to perform a longer show.
I first listened to this song back when I was playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007, this song never gets old, it brings me back the memories that I had back when I was playing the game
Thanks guys for Chris’s comments in Belfast. You probably won’t remember. She was I’ll and waiting for treatment. All went well and she’s in remission. Your show cheered her up. Thanks again.
I had this album on Compact Disc from roughly the age of 10 because my step dad got me it, and as a result I've never really searched it on RUclips until now. Just listened to this and Lonely Train and both comments sections are filled with people referencing stuff... I had no idea these songs were in games/TV shows but I'm glad they were, this band deserves a bunch more recognition.
Il y a chez Black Stone Cherry une cohérence que j'apprécie beaucoup, du son aux rythmes, aux vocaux, aux enchaînements, ce qui donne à leurs titres une dynamique intéressante.
This song deserves more attention.
Much more…. This is definitely fire 🔥
Awesome ass song ,I love it
For his guitar solo alone! Pure FIRE
Thanks to WWE 2007 i found this gem
0:40 cannot get over how meaty that riff is

This guy really knows how to play solo on guitar!
I'm definitely here because smackdown vs raw 2007, which in my opinion had the best soundtrack
+dvante bibbs absolutely
+dvante bibbs it was the best
I think 06 had a better one.
SVR 09 is the best
Not Just The best Soundtrack The best Wrestling Game of all time for me
This was my favorite song when I was younger playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007. I revisited the soundtrack from the game, and re-listened to this song again. I never realized though how powerful the message of the song was! I love it!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I MISS THAT GAME
That 2k shit ain't got nothing on that classic
@@San_La_Muerte Even the other Smackdown vs Raw games of that time don't have anything on Smackdown vs Raw 2007, that's how good that game is.
@@PowerRangerfan yup the best svr game and the best soundtrack

Ryan O'Donovan Oh definitely. Saw them on their final gig of most recent UK tour... really likeable non arrogant guys and great musicians..
They are very humble. They play music for the love of it not for the money; and they really KICK ASS!!!
I'm so glad to hear that I love this song n thier other ones😊

Just found out that my grandparents who are in their late 70's like this song and other Black Stone Cherry songs did not expect that 😅
Fucking cool dude lol. God bless them.
When King BOOKAH!!! became King of the world!!!
why are they soooo underrated? this is wayyy beter than most music nowadays!
12 years later they are still better then music nowadays
And even better than many of their later releases
it's properly bluesy and in part sounds very Led Zeppelin, that's why!
Such wholesome lyrics sung in such a badass way.
This is a masterpiece.

Sometimes I want to fly away
But you can't judge a book, looking at the cover

I have seen my brothers
In ashes on the ground
And maybe in a new life
We can turn this thing around
But you can't judge a book, looking at the cover
You can't love someone, messing with another, no
You can't win a war, fighting with your brother
You wanna have peace, gotta love one another
No you can't judge a book
Gotta love one another

Still my favorite. Love these guys !!!❤
Love the raw/real sound. Bands like this and Corrosion of Conformity are underrated. Damn good stuff
Great song by a band that really sums up the human race. Kudos to you fellas.
More than a decade since I hear this song and it still gets me just the same way it did when I first heard it. Love this song.
2019 still love this song
"Gotta love one, or nothing"
...Astonishingly powerful.
its actually "gotta love one other"
Special good score for chorus guitar with wah wah!!! Rock On ImI
i dunno which wah sounds best, the Vox V847 wah or the Zakk Wylde wah cos he's used both in his rig, but originally the V847
GREAT SONG-GREAT MESSAGE.........
2009, and I only discovered this band about three months ago. Glad I did, now one of my favourite bands.
I'm 33 in 3 days and i feel young and strong again
Thanks ❤
Hows 33 feeling so far?
Intense 😎 !
Haven't heard this song in years but i still remember every word. Reminds me of all the good times in the SvR career mode locker room hahaha
So much memories 😩😭😫

Same for me, specially the season mode
I've seen these guys live at least 6 times. Each and every time they blew the headliners away. I haven't been disapointed in a BSC show yet.
Thank You Black Stone Cherry.
I'm now aware that I need to talk to my brothers, rather than hate.
Nice country vocals
Thank you svr 07 for allowing me to find this gem 🔥🤘
Thanks guys for Chris’s comments in Belfast. You probably won’t remember. She was I’ll and waiting for treatment. All went well and she’s in remission. Your show cheered her up. Thanks again.

The very first song i ever heard by them in the early 2000s and it came on the radio and instantly headbanging!
This song is from the mid-2000s as it was released in July 2006.
This song is important.
