Nice deal! However, I would not characterize Avengers #1 and Daredevil #1 as major Marvel keys. Avengers #1 contains the first appearance of the team, but no first appearances of any of the characters. It is a se ond-tier key along with Strange Tales #110, TTA #27, and Sgt. Fury #1. I Daredevil #1 has definitely improved its status as a Marvel key with the Netflix series and Matt Murdoch's appearance in the MCU. However, TOS #39 is a Major Key. Other major Marvel keys are FF #1, AF #15, X- Men #1, Hulk. #1, and JIM #83.
why would a collector make that deal? He could've simply had those 3 graded and gotten twice that. Not out of the question that ToS 39 might be a 3.0 to 3.5 .....The latter is double the deal already. This doesn't even include the other books you got back. Great deal for you.....a Very Garyesque deal, even though he's been losing his swag of late.
