America including # 100, ASM, (including #59), XMen, Avengers (including 57) etc, etc…. I have the DC Batman Poison Ivy intro issue and just saw they came with the wall hanger centerfold. Just checked and it was there! I haven’t looked at these in years until seeing vids like this. Condition isn’t great as I read the hell out of them. 12 cents went a long way back then.

I was calculating the whole way. By the end, I thought $5,000 would be a steal, $10,000 would be totally reasonable. So $7,500 is pretty darn good! Congrats, there are some classics in there

I watched till the end to hear the total, the price actually sounds about right. The RUclipsr West Cost davengers recently posted a similar video. He paid about the same for a silver age collection.
Any update on whether you ended up making the money back? Seems like a pretty high price to me, but there is a lot of competition for these collections.

For a majority of the silver age comics, I use comic pro line silver age bags and boards. For the higher value silver age comics, I use egerber mylite 2 standard size bags and egerber fullback standard size boards.

Welcome to comic collecting! There are many awesome issues for those characters and they can have a huge range in budget. An easy way to narrow down which issues your grandson would be interested in is have him watch a RUclips video showcasing each of those characters. I have two videos on my channel showcasing comic book keys for both spider-man and hulk. In these videos, I explain the key significance of each comic book. That would be a good start. Just want to clear something up I hear a lot of people mispronouncing Ka-Zar's name. If you'll open the X-Men #10 to the first page or splash page, it says, "pronounced Kay- Zar". But, great haul!

Thanks for your comment. Many of the keys have been moved such as asm 3 and strange tales 110. Made back with about half of the books still remaining.
I’m guessing you live in SoCal. I recognize those books by the ASM 3 with the “property of Raymond” stamp.

One of the toughest things to do is evaluate a collections within 10 minutes of meeting a seller. I think it was fair on both sides 😃
