Here's a new track made with the M8 to celebrate this beautiful spring.
Everything here is made with the M8 except one kickdrum sample that I layered with the FM kick.
Videos were shot in Marseille (sea shots) and in a small village in the south of France.

The M8 looks like an alien artifact visiting the French countryside and analyzing the myriad wonders of the natural earth - it's final communication is this song - a lovely track that flows organically - well done!

It is incredible what you coerce out of this device, truly inspiring. You are a great musician that's for sure! You are also one reason why I finally decided to place an order for one after having hesitate between a couple devices for a while.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm sure you'll love it. The greatest challenge for me is that it drives me so much towards making full songs that I find it difficult to take it just for jamming. Which means it can intimidate me sometimes in the way that I don't feel like picking it up if I don't feel like working on a full track. I don't know if it makes sense. This thing is so perfectly capable that it kind makes me fear using it if I'm not inspired. Which is weirdly beautiful. I need to start taking it just for jamming more often. The issue is that each time I start a jam the M8 makes me want to turn it into a song! You'll see, a fantastic piece of hardware in my opinion.

And yeah, the added bonus of a piece of gear that can be used while on the train or the toilet is just the cherry on top.

Did you mix on the M8?
Thank you! Yes everything is mixed on the M8, I just added a slight multiband compression and very slight lowpass filter on the master track in Reaper to get rid of unwanted frequencies in the low end and make sure I'd get the LUFS right for the RUclips requirements.

Thank you! I added a bit of compression and a lowpass filter ont the Master track in Reaper, but the limiter of the M8 did all the work there. I just used Reaper to make sure I'd get LUFS to be around 14.

It came out awesome! Only got to catch a bit of one of the streams and recognized it right away.
It's cool you got the whole process out there for anyone to see how it's made, inspiring stuff!
Transition at 1:47 is clean 🪥 and all the modulations/flourishes throughout are tastefully done!
Thanks! Yeah, I'm not so fond of some of the gain staging and felt like it was a bit hollow sometimes but I still like it. Thanks for following the stream!
