How about you..what is your story?
Will make one sir! Heheheh!
Stayed with NHS for 7 years then became an agency after. i can have a proper life. Scheduling my shifts. Earn more than NHS.
Hi Manong George,
I call you manong but probably I'm older than you. Just to help clarify things and help our kabayan. The NHS is very good in terms of long stable future. NHS helped us to get mortgage helped us when our family is growing. More holiday and time with our family .
@@conniebennett7980 ofcourse 😁 I do not disagree with that. Would love to hear your story of why the NHS is a great employer
The Filipinos are very good nurses. The uk thanks you for your hardwork and skills.
I'm an HCA and have been appalled to find that the NHS is crawling with psychopaths; the corrupt band system is a breeding ground for them. The band system needs to be scrapped, the hierarchy flattened out and all NHS staff should be screened for personality disorders during training. The staff shortage isn't due to the low pay, it's the intolerable burden of being exposed to psychopaths. Suffice to say, this is hardly a safe situation for the patients.
Bless ! You are SO right!
OMG!! I thought it was just me who thought this! 😢 As a student in training there, I was shocked at the things I heard and saw and I knew I didn’t want to be part of it
@@_xanna You made the right decision. The whole edifice is rotten to the core.
@@ellensmith-mv5vs Agreed. I'm a paralegal now.
@@ellensmith-mv5vs The carnage carried out by the jab rollout. Appalling.
Thanks for sharing po. It's really not about how different it is in nursing, it's about ,how happy and satisfied we are on what we are doing..I am a nurse by profession , planning to pursue my carreer here in the UK Sana but whenever I heard about how toxic the work in NHS, I felt discouraged, and feel unsure specially I am a mom and a wife as well ,I don't know if I can handle extremely stressful work days (physically , mentally or emotionally ) .. I got an opportunity to work in a nursery school..right now I am waiting for my DBS check to finish. I feel positive about this new job as it promise me a flexible working hours ..it's a new path and Im hopefull to gain knowledge and skills in this field.
Ang saraaap makinig Sir!!! Super realtalk! 🤩😍🤩🍾✨🥳💫🎉
I’ve seen and experienced bullying in the NHS too. The bullying of myself, other staff and patients
awesome!! I am an Insurance Nurse US base though I work offshore in the Philippines. currently applying to become private home care nurse hopefully one day I can be an insurance Nurse too in the UK ❤❤🎉
Sana more vids like this Yung iba pang vloggers para may awareness mga new nurses na papunta sa UK... Kase ito Naman Ang reality...
Thank you Sir! 🎊
Salamat for sharing Sir. :)
Thank you for sharing. It somehow enlighten me.
Welcome. 😁
Manong George, what insurance company do you work for? I used to work in the healthcare insurance company of US but not clinically. I wish to move back to the industry so I won’t suffer too much stress in the hospital setting.
I enjoy it but honestly, I feel so down at times when I know I could do more but I can’t due to time constraints, shortage of staff and workload.
As a former NHS staff nurse, I myself have experienced such things - bullying and discrimination. After realising that I am putting my health at risk ( I had anxiety to the point of not sleeping most work days, I had a baldspot due to stress!! Constantly missing lunchbreaks and holding my bladder due to long surgical time ) My body was telling me I should quit, so I did. 100% made the right decision. 🎉
I’m born and bred in the uk. As a NHS patient, I have to say I feel really disillusioned with it. It may save lives but is also let’s an awful lot of people down. I’m not the only that feels that way either.
Sorry to hear that. Nothing is perfect in this world. I would still rather have the NHS though😁
Brother ....i really can feel exactly what you feel....been bullied by co- worker and not able to fit in 😢😢😢 ......I love my profession as nurse but i find so many inhumanity in this professional itself......hating ..ragging ..rude .... disrespect...this that .....i wish i never did my nursing course .. ...now i dnt knw what should I do 😢😢😢....i am taking my ielts for NHS hoping that foreign country could be better then here in India but I saw lots of controversial about NHS .......😢😢😢🙁🙁🙁
New subscriber here Manong... thank you for sharing your story :)
Thanks for sharing...
Congratulations 🎉
I totally hear you. They expect you to do 3 peoples workload then look at you as if you are the problem.
Hello Manong George. I would like to request for a vlog about Company Nurse/Occupational Health Nurse in the Philippines to UK Nurse.
Thank you 🥰
I'm preparing for my board exam. This keeps me going.
I'm an Indian nurse working for nhs but I luv ur channel
manong, how to land po that kind of opportunity hehe
As a person who's never worked in the NHS but accessed it as a patient, I generally don't trust them as an organisation and the way they operate in the post covid climate. I have had experiences where I had to be seen by a foreign speaking practitioner (once in an a&e environment) and they're good hardworking professionals especially when English might not be their first language, they effectively can put patients at ease.
thank you for sharing your story sir!
I know you have your own story 😄 would love to hear it!!
Hi manong george. Im really interested to know more about insurance nurse, can you share any helpful links
ruclips.net/video/JFfPt5FcSbU/видео.html
There is not a lot of us. This is a link of a video I made a few years ago about that.
Hi! What do you think is better po, Cambridge NHS or JCI hospital in Dublin? I'm actually torn kasi I have offers for both of them. Sana mabasa nyo po. Thanks
No jobsite is perfect, but yeah 2 years is enough for me in the nhs. Its the culture, its not what you know. Its who you know. its all about the numbers. Patient care goes out of the window. Ive moved from private to nhs back to private. Probably wont ever go back to the nhs😂.
🤔🤔
I love working sa insurance, thats why i really want to go back sa insurance world. 🙏🤞
🤞
Good day Manong George,
My wife and I are currently here in the UK, working as RN in NHS. Though it is still to early to decide since we are about 8-9 months palang sa NHS. I am also leaning towards trying agency or if opportunity comes, alternative sa clinical setting sana. My worries lang is in terms of application of mortgage, health benefits, education benefits etc. Makukuha niyo ba yun kapag hindi na kayo sa NHS? Thanks for the advise.
Benefits like education and health ay makukuha mo pa din. You do not need to work in the NHS for that. 😁 mortgage makakakuha ka basta may steady income ka and afford mo. Best of luck.
This is a link about a full time agency nurse, hope it helps

@@manonggeorge Hi ulit Sir,
Yun po ba yung mga Medical Claims Nurse/Disability Assessor? Same lang po ba yon?

Yung nanay ko ang nasa mindset nya pag government mas better. Until now she's still insisting mag NHS ako. Pero I am adamant I don't want to work for NHS lalo paiba iba rota at gusto ko magstay sa Day shit lang, plus the horror stories I get from others rin. Ang daming locals umaalis why would I work there if I'm not on a work visa anyway, and have other options. So tama naman talaga, kung di ka happy sa work mo don't stay. Marami namang opportunities dito.
Yes. Dont get me wrong, the NHS can be good place to work. But there ia more than the NHS😁
Manong George, pwede po magtanong more info regarding insurance job?
Hello oo namn. Drop me a message on fb mas madali kse yun
Bullying kapag bago ka sa workplace talagang reality na yan. Kahit dito din singapore dinanas ko yan nung bago ako.
What are requirements for applying for this job I have anxiety issues working in clinicals so I really need alternative non clinical nursing job plz guide if there are other non clinical jobs like this too.
Most jobs non clinical jobs require a ILR status. We have a list of different nursing jobs from other pinoy uk nurses here.
www.filipinouknurse.com/articles
Sorry for the bullying you experienced, and I can understand you left and went private. I am sorry, I don't quite believe in insurances taking over a significant space in the healthcare field. More and more access to healthcare is blocked for people by their private healthcare insurance, who nowadays wield an incredible amount of power by being the decision-makers, whilst at the same time being a private profit-oriented company that should not be allowed even the access to out healthcare data.
Thanks sir. Very informative as always.
Thank you
How about the salary for the insurance? Is it the same working in the hospital?
Band 6 equivalent
Thanks for sharing, Manong George. Waiting nlng dn ako ng ILR nyan then alis narin NHS sana. Nurse assessor po ba yan Manong? Or different po yan?
Different po. Currently looking for a pinoy nurse assesor 🤔
I had enough never to be a minion after 6 years great experience though
What’s NHS?
What are the work hours like in NHS hospitals? Is it 60 hours per week?
37.5 hrs per week
Hola any latinoamerica uk community nurses,,? .i joined uour channel
Hi everyone,
I lived in the UK and worked for the NHS as RN for many years. When I became a Practice nurse I was so happy . I left community nursing due to bullying. I am shocked it still goes on.
Retired now yeah!!!
28 more years!.🥲😂
Hi sir. Just a clarification po. Is the job for insurance you are pertaining to based in the UK? Thank u
Yes 😁
Sir, just a question. Are you working as a Nurse disability assessor? Do they sponsor visa for nurses? Thank you 😊
20 years NHS service.
I have never seen anywhere else with such a toxic culture, mismanagement and departments run like private fiefdoms.
Bullying and discrimination is systemic with bad managers surrounding themselves with sycophants and cronies.
Preferential treatment given to mates and relatives whilst everyone outside the cliche gets put upon.
The NHS is sick and staff are leaving in droves.
There is no point throwing money at the NHS, when the money gets misspent by mismanagement on pet projects.
Frontline staff are disempowered, disenfranchised and disaffected.
The NHS cannot afford for these bad managers to retire as that will take decades.
Unfortunately I have already experienced most of what you describe and I'm still a student nurse. I have no intention of working in a hospital setting when I qualify it's too toxic.
🫶🏻 I personally don’t get it, it’s totally counter productive.
When the NHS finally gets privatised, who do they thing will run it?
The same mismanagement with the same disillusioned frontline staff.
I have even personally had to remind management of professional standards and NHS values, as they only seem to be catch phrases to most of them.
I'm currently working out my notice after only 3 years. I've been appalled at what I've seen. It is rotten to the core and completely unfit for purpose.

My friend is a Filipino nurse here in UK. She has to deal with a lot of untrustworthy white nurses
Na-bully din ako Sir sa unang Trust ko sa North east. Hindi ko na sasabihin yung ospital pero dahil first time ko sa uk na walang experience sa specialty kung saan ako nilagay. Masasabi ko pangit tlga ng work culture dun.
Hi, i am a foreign nurse working in uk.
And i worked 1 year in trauma ward. Me and a recruted group. And since 1st moment we hated it. They used us to give personal care, no learning about the rotine,... But i forced myself to learn. After 1 year i just left. I was not happy. I hated. We are only machines. The patients asking for attention, and no time, stressed...awful.
I was working before on nursing home, lovely, earning more money, but i left to learn. But now i am very happy in a home, good team, good pay(double of hospital). A family place. I am very happy!!!
Naluha ako sa story mo pareng George🥲. Pwd na pang MMK. libre na lng ulit kita Rice Krispies Treats pag nag visit ka dito LA. 😂
What happened po sa VISA nyo? Since it is under skilled worker when u came here. Do u have to make changes for it?
I moved to another employer a nurse as well. ILR na ako by that time
Hello Kuya, are there opportunities for public health practitioner Jobs for nurses and jobs in medical insurance like nurse assessor if I come there on spouse visa. I would like to know more non clinical jobs suitable for nurses. Please let me know other options as well. Salamat.😊#indian kabayan
Hello drop me a message on fb po and i can give u insights sa non clinical nurse jobs. Salamat
I can c why doctors and nurses want to leave but what about everyone health it’s one of the most important things government need to get there money out for doctors and nurse and need to do it now. That why we pay taxis. We need this sorting take government court all tax money they have got. And there using it making bloody robots
Most of the comments here make it sound like the NHS is a horrible place to work in.
Did you expect to have an easy job?; like a pen and paper job with no sweat? Enlighten me please.
for u to be recognize u should know how to be a politician😂😂😂
they dont recognize the hardwork😏
Me I'm looking forward to move from the NHS to RUclips, there's money online, diskarte lang yan.
Nursing di mawawala yan, gipit? Bank shift. But I'm done with this rat race sh*t.
