- I believe every home should tell the story of the family who lives in it!
I’ve always dreamt of renovating an old farmhouse but our dreamland did not come with an old farmhouse so we made the decision to purchase a manufactured home.
It is my goal to turn it into a dreamy cottage farmhouse.
I’ve shared in many videos our plans of how we are making the outside look more like a cottage home and today I am excited to give you a tour of the inside of our home.

You could put shiplap (painted white) in the entryway to cover the oil spots and it would tie into your farmhouse decor. Beautiful home.

Here it is 2023 and watching this video y'all have really done a lot with your home and you're even building Gene's parents a home now on your property to keep them closer to y'all. Your sacrifices are paying off you have a beautiful home on a gorgeous piece of land and I have no doubt that time will continue and a lot of hard work to make it even better . You even celebrated your son's wedding there !

Beautiful definitely touched my soul both my parents are in heaven and ,I will admit I shed a few tears , there were a lot of things and sayings my dad would say and also before he passed he said he was going to his New beginning in heaven and he wanted me to start my new beginning to continue our happiness and love with my husband and our grown children and all our family to continue our lives with making many more memories ,its funny you know
How life is and you have so much in common with my family ,the way y'all live how you love Jesus and how you display your home with pure love and dond memories just like my family does ,your decorations reminds of many family members homes ,I'm glad I ran into your channel feels like home ty for sharing , truly truly touched my heart and soul, I can't wait to do exactly this with the garden and everything else ,having family closer ,growing our own food ,owning our own land and always being thankful to Jesus for everything and everyone we are blessed with 💕 life is a journey and I'm ready when the good lord Will's it in his timing !! I love it when people decorate their home with things that hold memories and experiences. It makes it so much more personal. Thats what I have done in my house. I have furniture and just lots of things that belonged to my grandmothers and my grandfather, my mom and dad, and a special aunt. My house might not be perfectly decorated like some of these videos or what you see in a magazine but I think thats what makes it a home. Just as you have done in your home. I love your home it looks very inviting.

I am new to your channel. You have Frankoma! I moved from Missouri to Michigan in high school and have lived here since. My grandparents had farm in Missouri and I have family in Arkansas. Sunday dinners the table was set with Frankoma. I have few pieces. They bring back happy memories. Your home is lovely. I have remodeled single & double wide and modular homes (each place we built a pole barn too) before we stick built our home in the country. They are wonderful homes. We sold our stick built home when health issues required us to downsize and start over. We sold everything and moved to the city. We bought a '62 brick ranch house from the estate of the original owner that had sat empty for 10 years. It needed everything. But there isn't a tool we don't know how to use so we got busy making it our home. We have been here now for 20 years. It's not what it is, it is the love that is in it that make a house a home. I just ran across you, so grateful I did!! I absolutely love hearing about family, & history memories!! The can you have you think is a flower watering can, it really is an oil can! I have my grandpa’s!! I absolutely love it! It brings so many memories of growing up & staying with my grandparents! He would change the oil in his old truck! ( wish I had the truck!! It had wooden floor bedding in the back! I collect doves also, we even saved a live dove & she was released this spring! She’s brought all her flock of friends to gather in my backyard !! ( I feed birds, squirrels, whatever ends up here!! Your memories on the walls of places you’ve been, so touched! You’re a true blessing! Your property is absolutely gorgeous! It is my goal to make my home look like a little cottage and not a manufactured home.
Not that there’s anything wrong with living in a manufactured home! They are built really well now and there are a lot of really nice ones out there! I just have always dreamed of a little cottage farmhouse. So, it is my mission and challenge to create this visually! So happy you found us. We seem to have a lot in common, I can tell we are going to be great friends!

You've decorated your Country Cottage beautifully. I feel like I got to know you & your family on a more intimate level after experiencing your home. Thank you.❣ I have a tip to share with you. You have a problem keeping your hanging photos straight. I use a small bit of
POSTER PUTTY on a corner or two on a frame, level it then gently press it to the wall. It can be safely removed as needed. I've used this for decades. Hopefully you can enjoy your displays a bit more.❣

Beautiful home. You must feel so blessed. I love the decor. It looks so cozy and inviting. I’m still in process of decorating out home. We have a 1 year old and built our house about 5 years ago now. It’s a slow process to decorate.

Your home and property is gorgeous. I too don't like heavy curtains. I saw a lady's home tour in a farmhouse style and she used lace tablecloths she has found at thrift stores. Styled different ways. I liked how she used one all the way across and pulled back one side. So I'm on the hunt for old lace tablecloths! And lace table runner's.

Try powder on the oily spots on your walls. You may have to do it several times (pat it on the spots, leave and brush off). It’s worth a try. I did this on wall paper and it worked.

In your kitchen that old bowl on very top of your carnet looks like an antique bread bowl my granny had one. I love it I collect old bottles also I have a cureo cabnet whit 6 shelves it is slap full of old bottles.
It is an old antique bread bowl gene bought it got me at an antique place a long time ago and I love it! I love my old bottles! Sounds like we have much in common!
Oh forgot to tell you my husband name is gene also. Lol😆

Im looking to downsize in the next two years. I am thinking about buying a modular home with sheet rock walls. And putting in a storm shelter. The manufacturer homes property taxes are much lower than a built home here in East Texas. Since I will be retiring within a couple of years Im researching where I can cut wasteful costs. And taxes are my #1 target 😆.
