Here in South Africa and it's 2023 and I would not change a thing in that kitchen....OK, I will change just one thing. I would change ownership to my name. I have never seen a kitchen not even taking about that house or view so beautiful in my life!!!!! Wow.
I would have enjoyed the results more if the camera would have gone around the rooms slower. All that beautiful and talented work done and the results were shown too quickly, in my humble opinion.
If you go to the top right of the screen and click on the 3 vertical dots you will see an option to alter the speed from very slow to very fast - it works on most RUclips videos - hope that helps
There is this amazing thing called a FOCUS button... maybe the Abode show producers could try using it before posting this mess of a video, and making a complete fool of themselves in the process!
This was done so long ago. More than 15 years at least. I toured this home when it was opened for viewing during the sale of the lottery tickets. It was beautiful.
I just love your make overs you never disappoint you and Tommy make a wonderful team I can't get enough of what you do love everything about your show thank u for being on the air ❤ 💖
It looked so fresh coming out of the 90s and has aged remarkably well, I think. The structure would still work great, probably warm up the colors in the snug and dining area, change up the light fixtures, and you’re good to go.
That was no recycle bin! Sad! Those cabinets could have been sold or donated to someone who has...let's say...lived without a kitchen for 3 years due to unforeseen circumstances!
You know Sarah, Vancouver has beautiful design stores…I know drama is part of the story, but the cost of shipping by truck long distance and etal it probably wouldn’t have made much difference.
I love this as I always love and of Sarah and Tommy's work but I wish they had donated all the cabinets to project for humanity r something like that ,hate to see it wasted that way but I hate to see anything get wasted .
That's good because as cool as it looks, how would you even get into a bench that is pulled up to a table with corner legs? The people on the ends would have a terrible time, let alone the person in the middle. The only table that should have a bench should be a pedestal table (or a picnic table with legs configured in an X).
i m absolutely disgusted..how stupid and wasteful...i love her designs but most of it should have been resurfaced and reused...and only pieces that dont fit into new design should be new.
It did hurt me to see them destroy so many things that disadvantaged (not rich) people would love to use. Ad, aren't movers only one step up from tow truck drivers in corrupted little towns? Am I being too negative? (I'm sorry.) The end result is MARVELOUS, beautiful, fabulous!!

The problem is poor people usually don't own houses, especially in high cost of living areas like Toronto. I'm sure if she goes to like, I don't know, Newfoundland, she can find a nice poor family to renovate for, but the problem is the cost of traveling and logistics, and don't forget the family can't actually live in the house during the renovation. They have to find somewhere else to live.
Too much before and during, and wayyyy short and dizzying the result shots! We viewers want to see the results a lot more, than all the shenenigans leading up to the completion!!!😏🙄😏
Am I wrong or are movers, moving truck drivers, horrible at not just taking their sweet a** time? I hope the lottery org had photographer's set to take photos at room close.

As usual…I don’t know why they have not figured this out YET
So agree: the coffered ceiling and woodwork were stunning and the flow of each element needs more time.

agree ..show the finished product . slowly.

Sarah, I love your attitude and design. If I win the lottery, I will be calling you and Tommy.
Came out well. Just hate, those cabinets didn't get donated but rather trashed :(
Thought the same.
I nearly cried.
I thought the same thing! No Restore in the area?

Was this on Vancouver Island or on the coast of B.C.?
Timeless. That's one of the things I appreciate about Sarah's designs.
Literally jaw dropping--- the most perfect beautiful kitchen I have ever seen. 15 years later, still perfection in every way.
perfectly good cabinets thrown into a recycle bin
Sad
@Leslie Oscar RECYCLE bin
@@cherylnelson8392 they were thrown and broken, probably not much left to recycle.
a true timeless kitchen. From 2006, and still relevant today, give or take a few things.
Absolutely!
Wow! Outstanding! Sarah and Tommy never disappoint...
Sarah and the team never fails to deliver every time. I wish I could live in a house they design. Great work.
Maybe one day! We hope so too!
I just love your make overs you never disappoint you and Tommy make a wonderful team I can't get enough of what you do love everything about your show thank u for being on the air ❤ 💖
Gorgeous and timeless!
Wow! Oh, wow! I would love a kitchen like that. And the view would make cooking a joy.
Please show more of your finished product . Love your style ❤, always exactly my taste
"AMAZING Sarah"

Oooh, the box of Timbits on the counter...now I’m hungry! 😋
What a project!! well done!!
Stunning.
Very, very nice design...
The green was nice 😅😇😇😇
Why not donate the perfectly good cabinets? I find that really sad. The rest of the design is beautiful.
Beautiful. Is there a site available to see a full kitchen tour?
What a fabulous kitchen!
Beautiful!
Nice
Donating the cabinets would have been a good idea.
You know Sarah, Vancouver has beautiful design stores…I know drama is part of the story, but the cost of shipping by truck long distance and etal it probably wouldn’t have made much difference.
Just amazing work 😘
Another improvement!
I barely got to see the kitchen! What was that??? I was so excited to see the results 😒
wish we could have seen the completed kitchen.
Beautiful ❤
This has to be years ago. I can’t see Sarah doing that glass mosaic backsplash now. A lot of the choices feel dated to me.
This episodeof Design Inc. is from summer 2006
@@mamadukes6371 The jeans Sarah was wearing were the first clue!
Beautiful
The Best
I'm more confused by the carpet running up the back stairs off the kitchen. Bottom half red, top half blue!
Those were just temporary protective runners for the flooring underneath.
@@evieshore3270 ah, that makes sense, thank you. I wonder what they did with the rest of the house.
Perfect✨
Why are cabinets in recycle bin and not donated to Habitant for Humanity. Those cabinets could be used in more then one house for low income families.
It's a year old. It would be most educational to know how the present owners liked it, what they changed etc.
I love this as I always love and of Sarah and Tommy's work but I wish they had donated all the cabinets to project for humanity r something like that ,hate to see it wasted that way but I hate to see anything get wasted .
Yeah, what a waste throwing cabinets away and why could they not find any of the design elements in Vancouver?
Sarah grew out of having benches at the dining room table.
That's good because as cool as it looks, how would you even get into a bench that is pulled up to a table with corner legs? The people on the ends would have a terrible time, let alone the person in the middle. The only table that should have a bench should be a pedestal table (or a picnic table with legs configured in an X).
Confused, if this is Sarah Richardson Design show, what is Abode? The opening looks like something else.
i m absolutely disgusted..how stupid and wasteful...i love her designs but most of it should have been resurfaced and reused...and only pieces that dont fit into new design should be new.
Can’t get a turkey in the oven. Charly chaplin of design looks like he’ll fit?
It did hurt me to see them destroy so many things that disadvantaged (not rich) people would love to use.
Ad, aren't movers only one step up from tow truck drivers in corrupted little towns?
Am I being too negative? (I'm sorry.)
The end result is MARVELOUS, beautiful, fabulous!!
I love Sarah and he designs .. but how old is this video?
✅
It bothers me to throw beautiful cabinets in a bin for recycling instead of letting someone use them! Wasteful!
"Lottery Winner" is incorrect, a good episode tho, thanks Abode
There is this amazing thing called a FOCUS button... maybe the Abode show producers could try using it before posting this mess of a video, and making a complete fool of themselves in the process!
Sarah cupboards in landfill? Couldn’t they be reused?
Wowzie
Why would you not donate the cabinets, fixtures and anything else useable to Habitat For Humanity or some organization like them? Soooooo wasteful!
TOTALLY.
Wonder what the taxes were and if the winner could actually afford them.
I lost interest when they destroyed the cabinets, etc. instead of letting someone salvage them.
Aged pretty good from summer 2006
This is sooooo blurry! Unfortunate
What the heck is a hospital lottery house??? Is this an annual Canadian thing or a fundraiser?
All this beauty for rich people. Our world is in trouble - how about probono for the poor??

Appeal to a broad section of public, shes dreaming! This house, this kitchen, is out of most everyone’s imagination.
10:36 I think if he puts of his glasses he actually looks quite hot.

Did they actually built that monstrosity just to give away in a lottery???
She is cute
Surprise a light kitchen. She’s a good designer but so predictable.
The owner requested white kitchen
Furniture + furnishings movers have a HORRIBLE reputation!
this is OLD from 2006
Quite stressful!😡
NOT a lottery winner
Am I wrong or are movers, moving truck drivers, horrible at not just taking their sweet a** time?
I hope the lottery org had photographer's set to take photos at room close.
It's beautiful but not for me
Zzz
Perhaps the rude man & woman in the kitchen could be muted…. I’d never watch another episode of this channel
