So believe or not, after many years of watching "how to" videos on RUclips, this will be the first time i've felt compelled to make any kind of comment. I purchased your plans for this table and was able to follow and assemble very easily using the videos you put out. It took me a couple of weekends and i'm very happy with the end result. I did follow your advice regarding the placement of the hinges for the wheels. Great alternative and much less work. The only thing that you might want to edit on your lumber cutout list is in reference to part B of the plywood. You listed part "B" x 4 when in reality one needs six of these. Two more than the listed four to glue onto part "C". Other than that, my completed table lies proudly on the wall, tucked away. Thanks!
Hi Carl. Wow, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and providing the feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the videos and my DIY plans for this. Your story is an encouragement for me to keep making more things like this. 🤗 Thank you for mentioning the error with part B. A couple other people have brought that to my attention and I've corrected it since. I'd be thrilled to see photos of your build and feature it in my gallery, if you'd like to email some to me. Thanks again and have a great day!
In addition to that, I suggest one other thing. A layout of where to cut up the 4x8 sheet of plywood into its separate pieces. I'd like to just know where to drop the lines for the cuts ASAP instead of trying to figure the puzzle. 😁 Oh, and in the material list. 2x4s (x8) but what length? I'm assuming 8 eight footers? Loved the videos! Bought the plans, now finally getting to the build! Thanks!!
@@wxviewer I realize this comment is 2 months old but for the sake of others that might have this question whilst learning, the 2x4 pieces listed are studs. Studs are exactly 92 5/8 inches in length. Best of luck!

I would simplify the casters/legs by extending the length of the table a few inches so that the casters can be attached to the legs directly and not interfere with each other when he legs are folded.
@@nauy The point is that with the casters attached in a fixed position, the workbench wouldn't be that stable anymore. Note that in the video, he only uses the casters to move the workbench to the desired position, then folds them away, so the workbench is standing directly on the legs, not on the casters anymore (which is MUCH more stable than it standing on the - locked - casters!).
The folding legs with removable wheels is genius. I have a plywood cover for the box of my truck with folding legs to use as a table when off the truck. Your folding leg design with removable wheels would be perfect to make the table even more portable. Cheers!
As a millworker, really appreciate the clean as you go/vac use. Little clean up as you work means a safer site/less mess over all. The table is a good idea too

Huge kudo points for showing the finished product at the beginning of the video to let the viewer know what end product is intended to be, along with some of the key features, before you show how you did it. There are far too many videos out there showing a craftsman creating a masterpiece, but you may never know until 2/3 of the way through the video where you say, “Oh, so that’s what he’s building!”
Just built the 5ft workbench with flip out wheels. I had to use a chain and bolt to the cross support because the Eye Hooks were not strong enough to hold the flipped wheels. Nice table, but I’m going to sell it for about what I got into it. I might do it again, but go to 6 ft and skip the flipped wheels. Bigger table, actually better for stability and simpler. Thanks for your video.
2 years later this is more like a $250-$300 project. I just ordered everything from HD and it was about $250 and I had a couple of the screws already. Great project, just what I was looking for.
I finally built it!!! I purchased your plans, but they are not clear for a beginner. I watched your RUclips video and paused and figured things out that way. You should have them include the link to your video with your plans. Just a suggestion. I did do the hinges the way you suggested instead of how you did it and works great , you just have to mount hinge a little lower on the leg. Awesome build, and thank you for taking the time to share and show. Can't wait to try another one of your builds now that I have a work bench.
Awesome! Thank you for getting the plans and building! 🤗 Sorry for the level of difficulty. It's my first DIY woodworking plan, which I'm sure I could have done a better job designing. Will get it next time!
Neat build I also enjoy building work tables I tend to make them weight 700-1000 lbs though couldn’t imagine hanging them on the wall though. For everyone reading this in the year 2134 get outside and build something anything there’s so much pleasure from building.
I like build videos that DON'T require Master Level skills and really expensive tools. This video meets those requirements I am quite sure I could build this with the skills and tools I have with just a couple new ones like the pocket hole jigs. Keep up the good work and I would like to see more ideas to try.
Great build! I really like the idea of being able to collapse the whole thing and store it on the wall. I need to build a shelving unit first, but I will keep this bench in mind for the future. I think my favorite part was the sock dance...just wish it would have gone on longer! Great video.
I would highly recommend the dust collection attachment for the pocket hole jig, works incredibly well and it seems you are very focused on eliminating dust right as it is made, so I would consider this a worthwhile investment
Good work. Only 2 latches at upper side won't stop the bench falling off if being pulled at lower side. Suggest to have lower side locks to protect kids.
Exactly my thought - cool project, but it seems a rare scenario that someone simultaneously does not have floor room for a workbench, but has plenty of wall space.
I love the way you keep your garage so clean and organized. It take ms less than a minute to vacuum after a few cuts. Hopefully I can pick up this amazing habit. Awesome job.
A concern would be that plywood warping. I laminate 3/4 MDF onto 3/4 ply. Stays flat forever. Adds weight, but for precision fabrications, a flat surface is paramount
Only thing I would have done differently would have been to bring the 2x4's all the way to one edge of the table and make a quick release attachment for a vise... and maybe one that will work with a grinder too... and maybe shield that end with some sheet stainless steel. lol
The first half of the video I'm like "man why is he doing all this work on the floor?" And then I realized, at some point he thought that too so he decided he needed to build a work bench.
Imagine how much shit you could get done if you really could work at that speed! After he drilled all those holes using that jig, whew, I had to sit down and take a break!! This is an awesome invention. I really should build a couple for my garage.
Dear Sir Very solid and strong workbench. As your workbench fits to the wall, you are also very much fit physically. I loved the way you jumped on the workbench.
I purchased your plans and built it. I love it. I made some slight changes like 1/4 inch x inch lag bolts for mounting the caster wheels. This is the perfect addition when needing a spacious workbench that stores so I can park my truck in the garage. Thanks.
wow, what a great design. A few years ago I built a custom workbench to fit the corner of my garage. It's heavy duty as hell, mobil (uses casters and built-in car jacks on each side, kind of a crazy design) and super useful....when I NEED TO USE IT. That's the problem...I don't use it that much and it takes up a decent amount of space I COULD be using for my lawnmower, kids bikes, etc. I love the idea of building a "fold-away" workbench like yours. I would lose some strength, but the additional space when I not doing a project would be really nice. Anyway, great build, sir !!
Last night, I spoke to my wife about a table that could be stored flat against the wall. Today, this video is suggested... One might think RUclips is listening.
Rarely do I see something thus innovative on a DIY channel. Congrats! My jaw dropped and I thought, "Oh my God! I am doing this!" It will make a great laundry folding table for my basement that is riddled with support poles near my laundry area. This will allow me to stow it away should I need to drag out Christmas decorations and the like, allowing for a clear path instantly. Love it!! And though there's many steps involved, it's beauty is in the simplicity. Keep up the great work. I liked and subscribed right away to see what you come up with next.
I just built this awesome folding shop table using the plans from Etsy and even used the links embedded in the PDF to find most of the materials which was a huge time saver (for those who don't yet know, the box stores apps and websites will tell you the exact aisle and bay of an in-store item as long as you have the correct store selected). This went together so easily and perfectly and is a beautiful space saving design in my long narrow shop. The only thing I kinda goofed on was the location of the bolt holes. Those need to be precise if you want a table that doesn't wobble. This is no fault of the design/plans but even though I measured and marked the drill locations with calipers, the 1/2" bit made the boards wander a bit on the drill press so I wish I had built a jig to secure them before drilling. I fixed this issue by measuring up from the bottom surface of the table top to the end of the shortest leg and then marking that location on all the remaining legs and cutting on mitre saw. That will hopefully save others some headaches if they run into the same issue. A better idea would be to assemble the legs and clamp them in place on the frame before rounding the ends and then drill through all 3 pieces of 2x4 for the bolts. The only other tip I would add for this great design is to make sure you sift through all the garbage lumber at the box stores and get the really straight 2x4's that have zero twist or crowning. Again, this will ensure you have a level table top with no wobble once you're done. Great design, thanks for posting. Well worth the meager sum paid for the plans. Oh, and the plans have an update on the hinge locations which I used and they turned out perfect! No need to cut a rabbit in the legs. Thanks for posting this. I will use this for the rest of my life!

I was sold on the rolling Superman at the beginning of the video... oh sure, unfolding it and pulling it off the wall was cool, but something that complex, and you can have fun with it? I want one...
@@VisualSpicer the first time you took it off the wall I thought you had some clever joint holding the table to the wall, (the way it looked being unfolded from the wall just before you rolled it away; simple still works best... Very nice build.
I have done a number of projects such as this one only to be blown out of the water when you show you wife how cool you think it is and she just shrugs and gives you that look!!! Great project!! Not bad for the money that was spent!!!
Thanks gaborsvt, glad you like it! I don't seem to have that problem. My wifey is generally very appreciative of my builds. Plus, this one will help me to work on all of her remodel ideas, so she's extra appreciative! 🤗💖
Wow that’s awsome. I have a garage and half I usually move my wife’s car out of the garage so I can do woodworking always wanted a work bench just don’t have the room this gives me a great idea thanks
I'm trying to figure out how I can adapt this to a smaller version for my kitchen. My house was built in 1919. Apparently they had no need of counter space then. I have the tiniest work area about a 2' length of cabinet and only that if I put away my dish drainer. I have plenty of wall space and 9' ceilings...lol Until I can afford to have a New kitchen put in I think this might work for a vertical folding island. Thank you for the inspiration.
Looks like a very good design. I would love to do more DIY, but as I live in an appartment, I look for a work bench solution similar to yours but with the goal of making it an almost invisible piece in my apparment when it is not in use. I think most of what I would have to change in your design is concerning the coasters, everthing else looks pretty much how I need it. I would also try to incorporate a couple of the MFT functions into it, mostly holes in the table plate and clamps on the side, or at least in the meantime plan for the space to add those later. Also great execution, hope mine will eventually look as good as yours.
Um... Yeah. Building this today. This is precisely what I need in my shop to maximize space and give me the room I need for my woodworking projects. Great video and PDF, which I just purchased.
I added wheels to my workbench as you did for your's although it's damn heavy so may need to rig up some kind of pulley system to flip them under on my own!! brilliant idea though - kudos! just so happened that when we shortened the legs to make my workbench what I considered the right height, it turned out to be exactly the same height as me saw bench, once the wheels flipped out - quite by accident!!
Great idea. Only piece of caution I have is to make sure there is something t secure the bottom of the table when stored away, just in case it gets bumped
Super cool dude, love the way that you don't talk... I learn better by watching. You're very thorough and inspiring. I got to go buy me some tools now LOL.

Most finish carpenters vacuum during work.

What are the specs and what parts did you use, hinges , screws, etc.
It is in the vids description
Great idea , stores , moves , and don't move and simple to build .
*watches him ride the table across the floor* admit it... you built it expressly for that purpose 😏
Haha, you got me there Travis. That's all I do is surf my table around the garage. 😁
@@VisualSpicer it's a neat table setup. Handy if you need the open floor frequently.
I watched the whole thing because of the speed of video. Very clever and nice craftsmanship.
Thank you for watching Davidson. 🙂

Is amazing table, sorry My lenguage, i from argentina
Hola
Rarely do I see something thus innovative on a DIY channel. Congrats! My jaw dropped and I thought, "Oh my God! I am doing this!" It will make a great laundry folding table for my basement that is riddled with support poles near my laundry area. This will allow me to stow it away should I need to drag out Christmas decorations and the like, allowing for a clear path instantly. Love it!! And though there's many steps involved, it's beauty is in the simplicity. Keep up the great work. I liked and subscribed right away to see what you come up with next.
Thanks so much!
i love that part where just at edge of off camera you smash ur face into the wall LOL
😅
Why are you down on the floor on your knees crawling around on the concrete with no knee pads why dont you use a work table and get your work up?
amazing, just amazing, my friend woodworker say its great! hi from Russia, Siberia

I was sold on the rolling Superman at the beginning of the video... oh sure, unfolding it and pulling it off the wall was cool, but something that complex, and you can have fun with it? I want one...
Haha, thanks SoleSurvivor, glad you liked that! 😅
@@VisualSpicer the first time you took it off the wall I thought you had some clever joint holding the table to the wall, (the way it looked being unfolded from the wall just before you rolled it away; simple still works best... Very nice build.
Доброго всем времени суток! Молодец!!!Очень всё продуманно и функционально!Спасибо за красивое и полезное видио!Дело мастера боится!👏
I like your video, missing details you need to put measurements at least to explain how you build it .....
Good luck for the next one
So skilled and clean, and I can tell you have a healthy lifestyle and is funny. I wonder what you do for a living.
Thank you Golden Leaves! I'm a product designer and an endurance athlete. Glad it shows. 🤗
Does your husband get upset if you have saw dust on the garage floor?
very nice. Used this as a basis for a wall mounted, fold down workbench. Lot of good ideas here.
Génial, y lo mejor la naturalidad como lo présenta. Félicitations yo quiero tener uno, donde lo puedo encontrar ?
I have done a number of projects such as this one only to be blown out of the water when you show you wife how cool you think it is and she just shrugs and gives you that look!!!
Great project!! Not bad for the money that was spent!!!
Thanks gaborsvt, glad you like it! I don't seem to have that problem. My wifey is generally very appreciative of my builds. Plus, this one will help me to work on all of her remodel ideas, so she's extra appreciative! 🤗💖
The most impressive part of all this is that it was done in only 15 minutes.
Very nice. Great idea. Building an affordable $150 workbench using $600 worth of tools.
Wow.... Like watching a magician at work, pure enjoyment, thank youuuuu 👍💪💪💪😍😍😍💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
11:07 Those wheel bars are awesome. When you don't want to lock the casters individually, just flip them up. I like 'em. Jus' sayin'.
Watching this video, I learn many new things, it's very fun, I wish you good health
I have plenty of wall space and 9' ceilings...lol
Until I can afford to have a
New kitchen put in I think this might work for a vertical folding island. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you for sharing Becky. Looks like an interesting challenge. I hope you get it figured out. 🙂
Thank you for the video and thank you very much for not playing music in the background
Super cool dude, love the way that you don't talk... I learn better by watching. You're very thorough and inspiring. I got to go buy me some tools now LOL.
