- 1976 Caprice Classic Junkyard Find. She's gone man. This 4 door donk was hurting kinda bad. She was hit on both quarter panels and various dents throughout the body. She also had some rust. The interior wasnt in too bad of shape considering how the exterior looked. under the hood was a mouse, quite possibly a 400 Chevy small block. The transmission was missing however. This one will be parted out for a while and then they'll crush her.

I've always liked this body style! Thanks for another great video!
Why must such beautiful cars eventually come to end like this?...
It was driven until it couldn't be driven anymore.
U never say were they r please tell
Throw away society
Because old people die and grand kids are stupid
I KNOW 😭😭😭
I could be wrong, but this car has a rare gauge package. Most of these have idiot lights.
I believe you are correct....
The 84 I had didn't have a gauge package, either. I read about it in the car manual, though.
Just sad, love mine 76 caprice, 4 doors😢🇱🇷🇳🇴
What a testimony to the existence of entropy; such a beautiful car - at one time anyway!
Pops Had a 75 2 door. Red with the white top and guts. Had the spokes and whitewalls... 400 small block. Nice car.
This was the last year for the old girl, I would drop a create motor and trans fix her up and make her a sleeper, until I could find a 1963 Starfire to work on. Thanks for the videos, brings back fond memories!
My heart is braking yet again.
So sad!😭
Dam fine demo car now though .
Wow don't see gauges on them very often that is rare as hell.
Last of the full-size Chevies. 454 and TH 400. Love the four door hardtops. GM at it's best.
Yes, Hudiburg Chevrolet, still there, now an Autonation Chevrolet, located at 7769 Grapevine Hwy Fort Worth, TX, 76180. Autonation bought it in around 2001 according to an online article. Whoa Nelley, as someone else pointed out, rare gauge package as it would typically have had indicator lights instead...
Here we go, taking it from the top. Trim tag is ST76 for 1976, 1BN39 for Chevrolet Caprice four door sport sedan, J for Janesville, WI assembly, the rest of the first line is a processing code. 74D should be for red cloth interior, AT3 should be split front bench seat, 11L and 11U are for white exterior paint, so it was either painted at one time or it just faded, looks like 05D which would be the fourth week of May 1976 production.
VIN is 1 for Chevrolet, N for Caprice, 39 for four door sport sedan, U for Chevrolet small block 400 V8 with 4 barrel , 6 for 1976 model year, J for Janesville, WI production, and the rest is the production sequence.
You gotta sift through those sockets and tools and pick out the good ones. They can be easily cleaned up in some vinegar. I do it all the time.
A lot of engineering money went into the 73-77 bumpers..rarely see them in bad shape..chrome always looks great..
I'm thinking the bumper shock absorber on the right side got stuck.
good ole family sedan from back in the day them seats looked comfy like all the big car seats from back then
This reminds me of my Caprice Estate Wagon (454-400). White w/the vinyl woodgrain inserts, full power, a/c, cruise. That gauge on the left of the speedo was for "fuel economy" - in my car, the only time that was in the green was when she was idling, lol! This wasn't the muscle car 454, but it could get out its own way when necessary. That's another ride I think of fondly.
to me they all look like exotics. it's kinda the same if you see an Alfa Romeo or a Maserati in a yard.
always good and straight to the point content. thanks. hope your channel takes off soon.
subscribed. stay safe & strong.
love from sunny Italy.
RIP dream car
Reminds me of the 1971 Impala Sport Sedan my family owned in the 1970s...Champagne Gold paint, white vinyl top, and Saddle brown all-vinyl interior.
I had a buddy who had one of these it was a pretty nice riding car.
This example would make a FINE DERBY CAR full frame tank....shes a little rough....
Yup-these fulls size boats use to win ALL the time. Now the '92-11 Crown Vic/Town cars win.Perfect demo derby car!
It may be a good idea to take a pocket mirror to look under these low cars, if you don't want to lay down to look.
Is it not so good to get the door panels? Even if they're messed up, they could be a decent template for someone with a 3D Printer. I've seen one of these (though it was a Wagon) and it was missing the right front door panel.
Those "5 mph crash bumpers", had been mandatory since 1973. Might be ok for minor parking lot bumps, but way more expensive to fix if you have any more of a jolt.
I’m looking for the back window let me know if its still available thank you..
The yard crushed this one a good while back
The Small Block is there for the taking .
6 months later, it's got to be melted down, might be some metal for the side panels on the newer Suburbans by now.
It's a classic only in name.
I couldn't believe how stripped out it was after a few weeks though. These are very popular with the lowriders and big wheel crowd
Hey Benny how are you doing I miss watching your live feeds from South Africa (vj)
I went live yesterday at 8pm. I'll try to make a live earlier in the day
Someone somewhere probably needs the glass ...........
That air cleaner looks almost brand new...
Sad the only thing left is the glass.

You can sell those skirts on Facebook All Day
Looks like at least a good parts car for someone working on one of these...
More classic of a Chevy caprice.going down the drain again.to bad that was smashed on the right rear .they might as well dig a big hole.for a grave.
The skirts weren't worth grabbing ?
I hesitate to grab things from that yard. They dont have set prices. Prices can be all over the board there. And now they are putting some of the classics in the "special yard". Special= more 💰. As far as the ROI(return on investment) let's say they are both in good shape. I got both for $50 and I wanna sell them for $200(I really think they would want $75-100 though for both). They aren't even going for that much on eBay. $150 is probably where they would sell. That leaves me $100. It takes time to clean them up, take good pics, and list them. EBay takes $15 for final value fees and unless i offer free shipping, they hit me up for a 10% shipping fee. Shipping prices vary but it could be another $4 or 5 there. PayPal hits me up for another 2% and then i have my time looking for a shipping box and packing material(plus time packing and taking to USPS or FedEx. I might clear $75. That's not worth it to me. Now if they were small easy to pack and ship items, I paid $10 for them, then yes it would be worth it. Or if they were selling for at least $300 or more then I would consider them. And that's only if they are in really nice shape. Of course if I sell them locally it would be a better deal. If they are still there when I go back I'll ask for the price.
Poor caprice is in ruff shape poor old girl probably be crushed an forgotten about
