  • Like all ergonomic chairs, gaming chairs are (potentially) good for your back. Adjustable lumbar support & arms plus a reclining backrest qualifies a chair as 'ergonomic'. The point of these components is to support neutral sitting postures.
Learn how neutral postures support the spine. Then, learn how to deploy them effectively in ANY type of ergonomic chair.

I usually don't comment but this video has helped me a lot. I have back problems and have came to the conclusion that it is because of my chair position. Thank you very much!

My Inland lightning gaming chairs. Literally the comfiest thing I ever sat on. It feels natural on my spine and find the firm padding very relaxing and supportive.

Id just buy a car seat from a junkyard and clean it and use it as a gaming chair.... These seats are designed for people sitting in them for a long time if I really wanted a car like seat for gaming

The pillow should fit in the nape of your neck (the curve above your shoulders and below your head). You can see pics of me demonstrating with a Secretlab Titan here: chairsfx.com/computing-chair-advice/perfect-headrest-posture/#testimonial
Another demo using a cheaper chair: chairsfx.com/computing-chair-advice/how-to-sit-in-gaming-chair/#recline
Caveat: when I first started sitting this way, I felt strong muscle strain (tightness more than pain) in my upper shoulders. It felt similar to the pain I feel after a brutal shoulder workout. But just like a tough workout, the pain subsided after a few days. The result was a straigter posture with my droopy forward-tilted neck resolved. Good luck!

For the love of your back, please Do not. I repeat do not listen to this junk. This is false information. If you value your long-term health, do some research and get an ergonomic chair. Your back and butt will thank you significantly.

How ignorant! Do you have anything to back up your hyperbole? Since I know that you don't, go to ChairsFX.com to educate yourself. There, you'll find OBJECTIVE ergonomic definitions - not subjective jibber-jabber. You'll also find real people demonstrating (doctor-approved) good posture in $2000 Herman Miller chairs AND $100 gaming chairs. Buck up., rando.
