Kilton is such a W brother. He remains supportive of his brother's dream when he himself thinks it is farfetched, gives his brother his stand so he can be safe in his travels, and accepts his brother is happy and free when he hears he ultimately fulfilled his dream knowing he'd probably never see him again.
Its even more bitter sweet when you find out that the satori is named after satoru iwata, one of the leaders at nintendo that passed away in 2015. Making a quest where a character wants to become one and then basically gets to hang out with the satori as his only wish. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is IMO an example of a good completion reward: it doesn’t need to be some crazy broken weapons/armors, just a conclusion to the side-story that makes me feel I made an impact on someone’s life in this world.😊
The glider is cool but I was hoping this questline would give you a way to tame and register the Lord of the Mountain. That would’ve also explained why he marks the caves when you feed him an apple as trial to earn him or something.

Turning into a Blupee may not have been the result Koltin was expecting, but it's still a nice touch. But now, I'm wondering if instead of gobbling down 101 Bubbul gems to trigger a transformation after having sporadic snacks of the first 46, perhaps chowing down on all 147 at once would have had a stronger chance to trigger a change into a true Satori. Still, the fact that it worked in the first place is incredible. Further proof in my eyes of the absolute magic that thrives in Hyrule.
Honestly, this is my favorite little side quest in the game. Kilton went from being creepy AF in the first game to weirdly endearing in the second. Also, we love a supportive family member of someone who has a dream of becoming the version the best version of themselves!!

@Glenn Knai if it was a game with online features by all means , but when it's an open world single player youer not impressing anyone going to 120+ caves to find this one specific creature 140 time that takes 1 arrow to die wasting litral hour of your life's for the same "cosmatic" none gameplay affecting reward you could've gotten faster by using a glitch , if that sounds appealing to you all the more power to you but I personally rather expoler the map than be hyper focused on a redudent task that I set an imaginary constraints for when it does not benefit it me in any shape or way and in actuality does harm my enjoyment of the game
@Austin John Plays so from my testing , the game has two "flags"/ trackers one is for the bubble frogs and one is for the gems themselves Kelton will tell you there's an X amount of bubble frogs still in the wild but for you to get the Glider and the cut scene only the bubble gem counter/flag matters
If you do this, dont forget the caves on the starting sky island. It has 4. The cave in the whirlpool in the zora resavoir also has one, even though satori wont mark it as a cave. It will still get a check. 152 shrines. 120 Light Roots. 80 Addison sign. 147 Bubblefrogs. Ah. Ya know? I don't think I'm gonna do 1000 koroks. Yea, no. Rather die, I think.
I had two left that I was pulling my hair out over. Went through two interactive maps confirming I’d been to every cave. Turns out my last two were found thanks to this comment. Much appreciated!

Here’s a tip for finding bubbul gems aside from offering fruit at the cherry blossom tress you can set the bubbul frogs as the target for the sensor. That’s how I found them all.
This is such a bittersweet ending. Like he became a blupee which is not a satori (which is the god horse). And he has essentially died, like he will never be able to really talk with people again or see his brother. He kinda accomplished his dream and seems to have new blupee friends but Kilton seems so sad, taking his balloon to satori mountain and speaking kindly about him. I wonder if Kilton goes to satori mountain sometimes hoping one of the blupees there is his brother.
Blupees ARE Satoris, the lord of the mountain is just like the main Satori. How does no one get this even after the quest line makes it rly clear that Blupees are Satoris.

Satisfaction is the only thing that comes to mind after seeing this you don't need to see a complete to flash across the screen. You helped someone dreams come true, that extra mile you took was for them even if its just a npc in a game.
There is a glitch for anyone who wants to do it for the gems thats really easy, kill the frog, use ascend, once at the top of wherever you are press to go back down instead of jumping out, and the frog will be there again and the gem from the original one still on the ground

Thank you for this video. I have been debating on wither to do this quest or not because I really like the frogs. But this ending actually made me cry, I am a softy. So I will do the quest, but I will leave the caves I visit often for the very last so I can see the frogs throughout the game and enjoy them. Thank you so much for such detailed video as always.
Mystic Armor set doesn't look that useful by itself, but it seems tailor made to be paired with those weapons that get big multipliers when you're down to your last heart or so.
So being able to negate damage as long as you have rupies (money) is not useful?! Also if you dupe diamonds money will never be a problem. BTW you only lose 10 rupies per hit taken.
@@Cronus_Primus Duping glitches are not part of intended game play mechanics, and most of them were removed with patch 1.1.2. There's a limit to how much damage it negates all at once. If the damage you're negating is over a certain limit (4 hearts with one piece, 9 with full set), the damage above that limit gets inflicted, and the rupee cost scales with damage blocked, from 10 per quarter heart, so blocking 9 hearts of damage costs 360, per attack that hits you. If you were to take a hit that would cause 10 hearts of damage, you'd lose 1 heart and 360 rupee. The fact it can't be upgraded means its defense also remains quite low, which tilts damage calculation up. It's similar to how the Gloom resistance armor only negates some Gloom damage. Damage negation is useful, but most people who play enough to get this armor would be good enough to not get hit so often, avoiding the need to negate damage. Also, I didn't say "useless", I said "not as useful", which still means useful. Being able to give yourself some buffer with this set to trigger the extra damage multiplier at low health is definitely more interesting in my opinion.

As 1 Armor also reduces 1 quart heart of damage (without costing money), each Mystic piece could be seen as 3 + 12 Armor, that 12 additional Armor costing 10 Rupee per Armor when needed (120, 240 or 360 max Rupee cost). I don't know what use it can have. Early players would have neither have enough Bubbul Gems to get the set nor the money to run the set, and players further in the game would have access either to better Armor (like Soldier set) or set with nice additional bonus (Barbarian set) instead of money siphoning one. Hopefully, it still has something going for it. It does allow to negate threshold damage, as Armor cannot reduce damage under 0.25 heart. I don't know if some boss could have higher threeshold damage than 0.25 heart damage. So... perhaps 2 high Armor clothing (32+28) with 1 Mystic could (3 + "12") could get to make negative all damage dealing less than 19 hearts with a 3 heart threshold, as long it is reducible damage. (For exemple, Bomb Flower deals 11.5 heart damage, 10 Explosion that is reducible, and 1.5 Fire that isn't (except if you have Fireproof ability). With maximum Armor, everyone would lose 1.75 hearts, but only 1.5 hearts with Mystic, and probably 0.25 hearts with the Goron set with Fireproof.
Pretty sure the armor is a throwback to the secret armor from twilight princess where it was useless as well. This game is already easy even doing no armor runs so I guess its for looks? If you're not doing any glitches even at endgame I wouldn't say I'm rolling in rupees or at least enough to take hits for me. I wish thier was layered so we could use the look without the effect. There are much better armies in the game for way less effort.
Blupee's are so cute and think it's great he turned into what he wanted, but still kinda sad. I hope his brother Kilton visits him at his favorite spot on Satori mountain from time to time and just tells him about the amazing sculptures he is working on even if the convo is one sided I like to imagine his brother will still listen to him.
Yesterday I activated all of the light roots underground, I think my next task will be the bubbul gems to get that glider. It’s been 7? Years since Satoru Iwata passed and I’m so glad Nintendo not only immortalized him in BotW but now in TotK there is much more content related to him
I think it would have been a nice touch if when you when to Satori mountain to see him, they had set him aprat for the other Bluppes by having NOT disappear and insted come up to you as if to say thank you
I was so worried about missing previous bubbulfrogs, because when I started with them, I just kinda assumed they respawned, so I didn't mark anything. It's a relief to hear that they're automatically marked off. Definitely going to try for this last one. Another thing to do before starting to really go for the koroks.
The side quest was touching. I will work to complete the collection to experience the story myself. Besides, the end reward and the best fabric is definitely worth the effort.
I'm not even upset about this reward in the slightest. Part of me wants to do it, not even for the paraglider, but just for Koltin. That's how much of a geek I am, and I'm proud of it
Outside of breath and tears Twilight Princess is probably my favorite mainline game, I even had the archery practice Wii game that went along with it and the paraglider in tears is fantastic and I've found it hard to not use a separate one but I think this is the only other paraglider that I would go out of my way to use at least from what I've seen so far
I appreciate all the effort that went into this just wish you had a list of all the locations that koltin appeared in the ballon so i could narrow down my search in game have found 5 so far but no idea how many and where else they could appear
So the Mystic Armor Set is the Tears Of The Kingdom version of The Magic Armor in Twilight Princess cuz that also causes the player to lose rupees instead of health when they take damage
Nice to know now where the balloon stall ends up after the Bubbul Gem quest line. The last one I needed was in the Southern cave that's connected to a well, all because it was hidden behind a cracked wall I didn't notice

I like how this whole thing is like a low-key drug reference. It's like Kilton is addicted to Bubbul gems. Kind of like the dude from the stable that gave diamonds for rushrooms in BOTW.

Hey Austin! Try going to the Burlpee Burrow in the depths! You might see him there? Ps. Burpee Burrow is located where Satori Mountain is but in the depths, you get to see burpees lurk and you can make shooting them with arrows as a mini game! Same with the cave (that’s on Satori Mount.) in the over world.
I finished this tonight and also thought his stall would be on Satori Mountain but for some reason I didn’t think to go there. Now I’ll visit that spot often 🥺

I used to find Kilton a bit unsettling, but Koltin is definitely a bit creepy. The ending of the quest however, was pretty heartwarming.

@@alguemalguem I believe it can negate *3,* 6 and 9 hearts of damage for 1, 2 and 3 pieces, with a 10 Rupee per quarter heart. As 1 Armor also reduces 1 quart heart of damage (without costing money), each Mystic piece could be seen as 3 + 12 Armor, that 12 additional Armor costing 10 Rupee per Armor when needed (120, 240 or 360 max Rupee cost).
I don't know what use it can have. Early players would have neither have enough Bubbul Gems to get the set nor the money to run the set, and players further in the game would have access either to better Armor (like Soldier set) or set with nice additional bonus (Barbarian set) instead of money siphoning one.
Hopefully, it still has something going for it. It does allow to negate threshold damage, as Armor cannot reduce damage under 0.25 heart. I don't know if some boss could have higher threeshold damage than 0.25 heart damage. So... perhaps 2 high Armor clothing (32+28) with 1 Mystic could (3 + "12") could get to make negative all damage dealing less than 19 hearts with a 3 heart threshold, as long it is reducible damage.
(For exemple, Bomb Flower deals 11.5 heart damage, 10 Explosion that is reducible, and 1.5 Fire that isn't (except if you have Fireproof ability). With maximum Armor, everyone would lose 1.75 hearts, but only 1.5 hearts with Mystic, and probably 0.25 hearts with the Goron set with Fireproof.
Pretty sure the armor is a throwback to the secret armor from twilight princess where it was useless as well. This game is already easy even doing no armor runs so I guess its for looks? If you're not doing any glitches even at endgame I wouldn't say I'm rolling in rupees or at least enough to take hits for me. I wish thier was layered so we could use the look without the effect. There are much better armies in the game for way less effort.

Blupee's are so cute and think it's great he turned into what he wanted, but still kinda sad. I hope his brother Kilton visits him at his favorite spot on Satori mountain from time to time and just tells him about the amazing sculptures he is working on even if the convo is one sided I like to imagine his brother will still listen to him.

I was so worried about missing previous bubbulfrogs, because when I started with them, I just kinda assumed they respawned, so I didn't mark anything. It's a relief to hear that they're automatically marked off. Definitely going to try for this last one. Another thing to do before starting to really go for the koroks.

The side quest was touching. I will work to complete the collection to experience the story myself. Besides, the end reward and the best fabric is definitely worth the effort.
I'm not even upset about this reward in the slightest. Part of me wants to do it, not even for the paraglider, but just for Koltin. That's how much of a geek I am, and I'm proud of it
Outside of breath and tears Twilight Princess is probably my favorite mainline game, I even had the archery practice Wii game that went along with it and the paraglider in tears is fantastic and I've found it hard to not use a separate one but I think this is the only other paraglider that I would go out of my way to use at least from what I've seen so far
I appreciate all the effort that went into this just wish you had a list of all the locations that koltin appeared in the ballon so i could narrow down my search in game have found 5 so far but no idea how many and where else they could appear
So the Mystic Armor Set is the Tears Of The Kingdom version of The Magic Armor in Twilight Princess cuz that also causes the player to lose rupees instead of health when they take damage

Nice to know now where the balloon stall ends up after the Bubbul Gem quest line. The last one I needed was in the Southern cave that's connected to a well, all because it was hidden behind a cracked wall I didn't notice

It acts more like the armor from wind waker where it only takes your rupees when hit instead of TP where it continuously drains your wallet.

Hey Austin! Try going to the Burlpee Burrow in the depths! You might see him there? Ps. Burpee Burrow is located where Satori Mountain is but in the depths, you get to see burpees lurk and you can make shooting them with arrows as a mini game! Same with the cave (that’s on Satori Mount.) in the over world.
I finished this tonight and also thought his stall would be on Satori Mountain but for some reason I didn’t think to go there. Now I’ll visit that spot often 🥺
