    I can’t thank you enough!!!! I came across this video a month ago when I got word of the Florida parks beginning to reopen. I was a new season pass holder for cedar fair as of December 19’ (Adult suddenly realizing I love coasters even though it had been almost 20 years since I rode them as a kid) and it took a lot to justify spending nearly a grand for an all season fast lane plus pass for ALL parks, but it showed it would be valid through all of 2021 and my road trips with my popup camper are now just for coasters. So I took the plunge and within a week a fellow enthusiast who works at CP informed me that cedar fair eliminated the fast lane passes for the season but will still honor previous purchases. I feel like I was fortunate enough to practically purchase the equivalent of the Willy Wonka golden ticket 🎫, so again THANK YOU!!

    I went to Cedar Point one time, and for the first time, last summer. This was during covid's somewhat height, and the park wasn't that crowded. I still had to wait almost an hour on the lines. Maybe longer at some. I tried to buy a fastlane pass after a ride or two and they said that they weren't selling any. Anywhoo... Doesn't take much to convince me that a fastlane pass is a must have. For rollercoaster enthusiasts, at least.

    Fast lane was started at Cedar Point in 2012, we went in very late August 2013 on a Monday (with the Ohio kids back in school) and we did not purchase fast lane, it made the day absolutely miserable. Rides that was normally 5 to 10 minute wait streched to 30 to 45 min wait. I was furious at Cedar Point for this and did not return for 2 years. I eventually caved and returned in 2015 and bought fast lane plus needless to say it was bliss, we were able to marathon our favorite coaster with minimal wait times and was able to enjoy the park experience alot better than standing in 1 to 2 hr long queue lines. Fast lane plus is an absolute must when we visit, even on slower days the lines are very long on the top tier coasters. My daughter and I went to Kings Island last Friday and bought fast lane plus, every ride was virtually walk on, we ended up riding nearly 30 rides that day, even taking multiple long breaks throughout the day. Fast lane plus is expensive but well worth the price.

    FL/FL+ is really worth it:
    1) If you are only going to be at the park maybe 1 or 2 day, it's busy & you want to be assured to ride all the big coasters multiple times. Yes, the extra cost can balance out, ie...paying for FL+ can allow you to get a lot of rides so you can make the trip shorter & have less days of hotel, food, & other costs.
    2)If you just don't like to wait in lines,(like me). Even before season FL+ was offered, if the coasters I really liked got lines over 30min, I would by FL+. Now I just get all season/all park FL+. I go to 5 or more different CF parks a yr, which comes to about 18 to 20 days at CF parks most years. Having FL+ already every day is just convenient over purchasing day by day based on crowds.

      @@rach4667 you can get fast lane /fast lane plus passes online or at the park. Thanks for this video. Was debating getting FLP for each day of my trip in early to mid June this year. Our trip is from June 6th through June 9th which is Sunday through Wednesday. Staying at Hotel Breakers those 3 nights and checking out on Wednesday, but we might end up doing a half day at the park that day. I only bought FLP for Monday and Tuesday of the trip. I didn't want to buy for more days just yet in case weather is bad a day or two because if so, we plan to switch days in which we use them to maximize the benefit of having them. I'm just hoping for great weather and the rides be fully operational, especially Dragster since I know it breaks down a ton. My only ever trip was in 2004 and we decided not to wait in the 4 hour line for Dragster and tried to do it on the second day of our trip, but it broke down and never re-opened the rest of the time we were there. Same thing almost happened with Millennium Force but we lucked out with some access fast passes and got on it once. Don't want to miss out on multiple rides on each of those plus SV and Maverick.

    • @PARKITThemeParksEdition
      @PARKITThemeParksEdition  3 года назад +1

      Wishing you all the best. I would highly recommend getting a FLP for your half day on Wednesday but you are wise to wait and see what the weather will be like. Hopefully it will be good for Monday and Tuesday and then you can just purchase the FLP on Tuesday night for Wednesday. Those are good dates to visit for the parks. Beach might be a little cold but it sounds like you won’t have much time for the beach anyway. Have fun! Keeping my fingers crossed for you in regards to Dragster! Love that coaster but it is so darn unreliable. Hoping you can at least get a few rides in!

      @Ewoonation 3 года назад +1

      @@PARKITThemeParksEdition Yeah I'm hoping to get everything ridden with multiple rerides on the big stuff and get to Wednesday and maybe just do more of a walk through of the park and ride more flat rides or try different food places. I know SV is the big thing to do, but Dragster has always been the one I've wanted to do more than anything else. I may just get there and spend a good couple hours just riding it over and over again until it breaks lol.

    I’ve only spent 7-8 days in Cedar Point, so take that with a grain of salt, but unless CP is your home park, I’d say Fast Lane Plus AND the Dining Pass are well worth it. The park has so many coasters, that even on a very light day, it’d still be hard to hit all the coasters you want in a day without the pass. And the dining pass lets you eat so often, that you can just go try any and all the park food while you have the chance

    Fast Lane Plus passes are super beyond worth it. But I highly don’t recommend the Fast Lane because then you spend all your day standing in lines for Steel vengeance, Top thrill dragster, Maverick, and Millennium Force. Because the Fast Lane does not include those rides. And for only like $20 more for the Fast Lane plus is way worth it. That $20 is worth every penny. So I highly recommend The Fast Lane Plus & don’t recommend the Fast Lane.

    Went to Cedar point Friday 5/20/22. Waited in line for two and a half hours to reach the Magnum Force gatekeeper...the girl who regulates the flow of peasants and fast lane riders. I asked her what the ratio was. She replied "I let like 20 of you go, then 20 of them". The fast pass lane never seemed longer than 20-30 people. So it seemed to me like the fast lane people were just getting ride after ride after ride while the peasants waited for 2.5 hours. Basically the fast pass turned my hour long wait into a 2.5 hour wait. Once we started up the final ramp from the gatekeeper the ride shut down due to wind.... I ended up with one ride on Steel Vengeance that day. I wish I would have bought the fast pass!

      I think that’s a good plan to share; I wish I would have done the same. Just be aware of what the restrictions are-only limited items are available through the dining plan. The cheaper food options will probably add up to the same amount as the dining plan. That’s great that you will have unlimited drinks; I think that would have made a big difference.

    Did you know that Kings island, Kings dominion, and Dorney Park announced that their getting rid of Fast Lane PLUS tier and everything is now FAST LANE. Because well don't get me wrong because no one buys regular fast lane why would anyone buy a regular fast lane when you can pay an extra $20 for better experience. Another possible reason is to limit buyers with fast lane, Removing one of the tiers and upping the pricing may draw away some guests making a better experience for regular guests and shorter wait times for fast lane users. I don't think Fast Lane PLUS is worth it Cedar Point because Cedar Point is selling out too many of them, the fast lines like Valravn, Millennium, Steel Vengeance and Maverick are getting backed up to like a 30 45 min wait and sometimes an hour wait that's making everything pointless. This could be the fate of Cedar Point removing the Fast lane PLUS tier in the future for better experience.

      You actually will have to redeem your online printed version for a wristband. You should be able to do that at Soak City, but I am not 100% sure. 1)I have all season/all park dining & it's 100% worth it, that only has 2 meals per day, but that's all I need or want. I get breakfast at my hotel. Based on how my friends use the day dining plan they find it a great savings. They are a family of 4 and buy 2 dining passes & drink plan, the kids share one & the parents share. They split from the kids most of the day doing different rides.
    2)On the quality of the food, you didn't pick the best places. You picked the places I never go. IMO, the best places are Hugo's, Backbeat BBQ, Miss Keats, which I go to 75% of the time & for a change of pace Buckaroo Burritos once in a while.
    3)The drink plan is great value considering the cost of a single drink.

    So you paid alot for your hotel, admission and fast lane plus. I think this boils down to people who have money get more perks. I believe the idea of skipping lines because you have more money is morally grey at best

    • @PARKITThemeParksEdition
      @PARKITThemeParksEdition  3 года назад +1

      I see your point. I chose to spend more money on Cedar Point because of my passion for theme parks and theme park vlogging. I was grateful for the option to pay more so that I could ride more attractions and create better content for my subscribers. At least the money I spent equated to creating videos that could help educate others as they plan their trip to Cedar Point, so hopefully me spending the time to help educate people on that process is better than being morally grey. If I only cared about skipping lines because I had more money, then why would I bother creating videos and sharing what I learned with others? I think I would just pay my money and not have a care in the world about whether or not I could help anyone along the way. And I don’t post videos for money. I post them because I enjoy creating content and I enjoy educating others on theme park related content.

    A Disney executive left Disney and went to Cedar point. He started the very unfair practice of fast lane and fast lane plus passes. It just widens the gap between the rich and the poor. Why some people stand in an hour to two hour or three hour line fast pass can get on the ride get right off the ride and then get right back on the ride, immediately why other people just stand there and watch them ride it over and over that is so ridiculously unfair! I paid a certain fee to get in I should be able to ride rides just as much as anyone else. If there is a set fee to get in cedar point then all the ride should be able to access to everyone fairly. How dare people ride the rides over and over again why their fellow Americans just standing in line watching them have all the fun 10 times in a row it’s ridiculous!
