First of, fantastic video. There is a domino’s pizza in the hotel. You can order and they bring it up to your room. ALSO go in July, August, and September. Remember, it is Ohio and cedar point is surrounded by Lake Erie.

Did you know that Kings island, Kings dominion, and Dorney Park announced that their getting rid of Fast Lane PLUS tier and everything is now FAST LANE. Because well don't get me wrong because no one buys regular fast lane why would anyone buy a regular fast lane when you can pay an extra $20 for better experience. Another possible reason is to limit buyers with fast lane, Removing one of the tiers and upping the pricing may draw away some guests making a better experience for regular guests and shorter wait times for fast lane users. I don't think Fast Lane PLUS is worth it Cedar Point because Cedar Point is selling out too many of them, the fast lines like Valravn, Millennium, Steel Vengeance and Maverick are getting backed up to like a 30 45 min wait and sometimes an hour wait that's making everything pointless. This could be the fate of Cedar Point removing the Fast lane PLUS tier in the future for better experience.

Fast lane was started at Cedar Point in 2012, we went in very late August 2013 on a Monday (with the Ohio kids back in school) and we did not purchase fast lane, it made the day absolutely miserable. Rides that was normally 5 to 10 minute wait streched to 30 to 45 min wait. I was furious at Cedar Point for this and did not return for 2 years. I eventually caved and returned in 2015 and bought fast lane plus needless to say it was bliss, we were able to marathon our favorite coaster with minimal wait times and was able to enjoy the park experience alot better than standing in 1 to 2 hr long queue lines. Fast lane plus is an absolute must when we visit, even on slower days the lines are very long on the top tier coasters. My daughter and I went to Kings Island last Friday and bought fast lane plus, every ride was virtually walk on, we ended up riding nearly 30 rides that day, even taking multiple long breaks throughout the day. Fast lane plus is expensive but well worth the price.

I agree with your ranking. This video has to be a couple years old. Top thrill was down last year, and continues to remain down for 2022. Also NOTHING IN YOUR POCKETS WHAT SO EVER on Steel vengeance! You must put EVERYTHING in lockers now (metal or not) I had to even put a chapstick lip balm in the locker. Luckily they're free as I had to make 2 attempts before I could proceed past the medal detectors. But yes, it's so worth it. I rode it 4 times the day my family was there. And yes, fast lane plus is the only way to go! We rode all the coasters until my brain felt it was going to explode! Lol! 15 minutes tops to ride. Rather then the 1.5 to 2 hrs other people had to wait. I'll only experience the park that way from here on out!

I find it humorous that 60's and 70's is cold... HAHAHA! ... Shorts and maybe hoodie weather. Definitely a great beach day, especially for someone who isn't "heat" friendly. Great video.

Went to Cedar point Friday 5/20/22. Waited in line for two and a half hours to reach the Magnum Force gatekeeper...the girl who regulates the flow of peasants and fast lane riders. I asked her what the ratio was. She replied "I let like 20 of you go, then 20 of them". The fast pass lane never seemed longer than 20-30 people. So it seemed to me like the fast lane people were just getting ride after ride after ride while the peasants waited for 2.5 hours. Basically the fast pass turned my hour long wait into a 2.5 hour wait. Once we started up the final ramp from the gatekeeper the ride shut down due to wind.... I ended up with one ride on Steel Vengeance that day. I wish I would have bought the fast pass!

FYI: $99 for a fast lane plus is very very cheap. Those things can get up to around $200

I feel the same about the dining plan. Not worth it. Due to needing to get the wrist bands we had to eat at the diner which only had either hamburgers or chicken nuggets with fries. We wanted to find a place to sit since we had been walking all day and the restaurant was a madhouse. I agree for the coming season we are just going to eat where we want without restrictions and avoid the hassle. Thank you for your video!

06:16 WHY do you feel the need to ride SV *TEN times* (!) and TTD three times, causing other riders to wait longer? We all know the "Big Four" coasters are too popular with many people. So why should there be a bidding process, screwing the people who don't have that much money? When I was young there's a major amusement park I went to, at the time it only had three or four roller coasters, but lots of other attractions. BTW this park now has 11 roller coasters. Back then, I waited for three hours on a newly redesigned coaster called The Demon. I didn't complain! Me and all guests could do all the attractions in just one day. You see, Cedar Point's biggest problem was when it kept adding more and more coasters, in a war with Six Flags, and now you have a Frankensteinish park where there are 15 coasters, some of them "extreme" in nature and prone to mechanical downtime. So, *why do you think you can do all coasters in one day* or even two? You need to plan ahead, and planning means, that if you want to ride all coasters and attractions, you DO need a week. So, the choice is yours. So wouldn't we be better off getting rid of the "Pay One Price" that Angus Wynne supposedly pioneered, and do like is done at all county/state fairs and small parks, where everyone must buy a ticket at a booth to ride? When I was young and visited that park the first time, I was amazed at the concept, I thought you had to buy a ticket like is done at fairs. But the park didn't have as many attractions and coasters as it does now. Cedar Point had only about 11 coasters in 1999, and that was before TTD and Millennium Farce. Cedar Point has only dug themselves into a deeper hole. If you can't plan ahead by giving yourself enough time, and that includes two-hour waits which are not awful like most coasterfanbois today insinuate, then you better make your visit a multi-day one. So *why* would you buy a pass which gives you unlimited rides, putting pressure on you to ride as many as you can and put pressure on the park to avoid downtime, when there's a better idea? That's why I suggest *Fast Lane TICKETS* which you can only use one at a time, at a certain fixed cost ($20? $50) and shouldn't expire, and if you want to ride again buy yourself another ticket. That way you won't keep hogging major attractions to the anger of the guests that go through the regular line, which I used to do and everyone did before this "Fast Lane Pass" concept came around. The FL+ queue lines at TTD this year were nearly as long as the regular line, though I know of one moment where there wasn't anyone in line for FL+ while the regular line was long. You never feel the self-pressure to go to every major roller coaster. Either pay up for the privilege of jumping the line, which is what it's about, or wait in line like everyone else; two hours is not a long time at all. Or, keep buying new tickets if you want to keep riding; how much you pay is how much desire you want to ride constantly. Or, perhaps keep the Pay One Price philosophy for roller coasters and attractions, but charge $500 or so for admission. I don't like that idea myself. The fact is, Cedar Point and most other parks are undercutting themselves by undercharging guests, and ignoring the old Supply and Demand principle. Frankly, if it were up to me I'd charge TTD riders $100 or so for a single ticket to ride, due to its popularity; if that's too expensive gee that's too bad, I have to make money too, and I'm not going to shortchange myself and my employees. I don't go to Cedar Point as a guest but I'm shocked their Fast Lane Passes are so dirt cheap. They need to do what Disney Parks have been doing recently. Like the NFL when tickets for Super Bowls in the early years were not much more than a regular-season game. I advise guests to *stop complaining* about the prices of Fast Land Passes, are start being more considerate to those other guests on a budget. OK? And PLEASE stop this obsession with roller coasters where you feel the need to complain if you don't get the chance to ride your favorite coaster dozens of times.

I just went to Cedar Point's website to price out a day at the park - family of 4 $673/day with no food/lodging. $199.96 (4 tix) + $20 (parking) + $436 (4 Fast lane @ $109/ea).

My #1 Tip would be if you aren't buying fast lane, go to the park on a day that it is SUPPOSED to rain. There are always places to hide under while it rains for a little, and the lines become SOOOO short. I waited 45 minutes to ride Steel Vengeance

I am going to CP this week, staying at the express hotel and bought a bundle deal. They said the drink plan is included, and you have a choice of either getting a collectors mug OR just using disposable cups. I like the idea of unlimited drinks using disposable cups, as I don't want to lug around a mug all day.

the price is now much higher this year. I plan to come over from Germany... Thats expensive but i save a lot of time.... hard decision

So you paid alot for your hotel, admission and fast lane plus. I think this boils down to people who have money get more perks. I believe the idea of skipping lines because you have more money is morally grey at best

how much was each meal? Was the total price close to that of the dining plan? we are going this August and are thinking about getting plans for half the people going so we can shar each meal between 2 people. We have ride & refresh tickets so unlimited drinks are included.

I’d say normally Steel Vengeance Is around a 2hr wait. With the Fast Lane Plus it’s usually a 5-10 minute wait. The Fast Lane plus pass is so worth it.

Fast Lane Plus passes are super beyond worth it. But I highly don’t recommend the Fast Lane because then you spend all your day standing in lines for Steel vengeance, Top thrill dragster, Maverick, and Millennium Force. Because the Fast Lane does not include those rides. And for only like $20 more for the Fast Lane plus is way worth it. That $20 is worth every penny. So I highly recommend The Fast Lane Plus & don’t recommend the Fast Lane.

hey! so last year me, my dad, sister, cousin, and friend went to cp and stayed 2 nights and 3 days this year we tried to stay for 3 nights and 4 days but when we went to make the reservation it only went up to 3 days even though we picked a 4 day trip do you know anything about this? or how we could get to do a 4 day trip at hotel breaks?

For a hotel accommodation you could stay at an Airbnb I’ve traveled and stayed in Airbnb’s a lot and almost never paid more than 100$ per person for a hotel room

I went to Cedar Point one time, and for the first time, last summer. This was during covid's somewhat height, and the park wasn't that crowded. I still had to wait almost an hour on the lines. Maybe longer at some. I tried to buy a fastlane pass after a ride or two and they said that they weren't selling any. Anywhoo... Doesn't take much to convince me that a fastlane pass is a must have. For rollercoaster enthusiasts, at least.

A Disney executive left Disney and went to Cedar point. He started the very unfair practice of fast lane and fast lane plus passes. It just widens the gap between the rich and the poor. Why some people stand in an hour to two hour or three hour line fast pass can get on the ride get right off the ride and then get right back on the ride, immediately why other people just stand there and watch them ride it over and over that is so ridiculously unfair! I paid a certain fee to get in I should be able to ride rides just as much as anyone else. If there is a set fee to get in cedar point then all the ride should be able to access to everyone fairly. How dare people ride the rides over and over again why their fellow Americans just standing in line watching them have all the fun 10 times in a row it’s ridiculous!

What private taxi service did you use to get back to the Cleveland airport? I saw Sandusky Taxi, but they don’t go beyond Sandusky. I’m relying on rideshares but am worried about not being able to get an Uber or Lyft from the park back to the airport.
