Tesla are great. And it's huge for a band like Def Leppard to boost a band like that. I bet it would make for a great discussion thread for established major artists who took other bands out and helped them break through. Ozzy took Motley and Metallica out and that was big. Personally for me, Rush took Primus out on the Roll the Bones tour. I just thought Primus were weird and nothing more until I saw their set at Reunion Arena. Been a fan ever since. Sometimes you've got to see an act live and I did with Primus.
When Leppard finally released Hysteria in summer ‘87, I’d been wearing out my Mechanical Resonance cassette for several months. I told my best friend at the time that it would be awesome if they’d tour together. I couldn’t believe it when the tour was announced and we caught them on their third U.S. date in Lake Placid, NY. It seemed like one third of the seats were empty, but it was a great show. Tesla kicked ass of course.
I had a good friend of mine who saw them with Def leppard here in Belfast and said the very said thing ... and to make matters worse for Tesla I think they had to use Leppards equipment as rumour has it they had their stuff stolen at the time. Love Tesla
I seen them again a few.years back. Tesla is one band that they sounded as good as in the 80's. Def Leppard musically performance wise perfect . Their age has affected the voices and harmonys.
Got that right!!! I got to see this tour, and they both killed it! You'd never believe this was Tesla's first album the way they played...
Loved to have rest of this video ❤️❤️

Kiss! Kiss took Rush out.

I wore my Mechanical Resonance cassette out, too. I saw this tour and Tesla nearly stole the show with 3 encores as an opening act.
Saw the concert in San Antonio! Both bands were good. Tesla got THREE encores as the opening act! They were on point!
They were just as good if not better in 86 opening for David Lee Roth.
I saw Tesla support Def Leppard when I visited the US for the summer in 87......Tesla blew the doors off them

Wheres the full recording of this im really interesting
Frank and Tommy were just as good as Steve and Pete.
With the exception of the album high and dry Def Leppard is way overrated Tesla's so much f****** better than there ever will be
This is Trump level dumb.
@dino white totally right.
I only have the first two LPs in my collection. Then I lost interest!
