I had a duodenal ulcer, which ruptured. I had been feeling tired and very cold for days. Then, one morning, I vomited a lot of blood. Thankfully, I was staying with my daughter, and she called for an ambulance. I was rushed to hospital where numerous tests were carried out. At 10.45 that night, a surgeon came and said I was going down for surgery. He would attempt to try to fix the tear by going in orally, down my throat, but warned that I would most likely have to be cut open. If the latter, I would spend several days in intensive care followed by a couple of weeks on a ward. He managed to carry out the work orally, and it was all over in 3 hours. They went in 2 days later and took images, which showed that the operation worked. I left hospital 5 days later. I now know how lucky I was to have such expert care.

I had the same experience when we went to the Rockefeller plaza to watch Today show in person on a winter day. Only Al took the time to shake hands with each person in the plaza. The rest of the Today hosts were outside maybe 5 minutes each time and never really interacted with audience in plaza. They’re all snobs except for Al. I stopped watching the Today show after that, they are fakes, except Al. And this was before pandemic hit.

I was in tears watching this segment. Happy tears that Al is back and continuing to do well. You, Deborah (who we also love and adore), your kids, the Today family, the GMA family and all the viewers, man Al, you have a great support system. And, once again, it's proven that prayers do work and will continue to work. Please take it at your own pace and don't overdue it. We all love Al. Al is once blessed individual to have such loving people around him. Also, this is why I love the Today family. Because they are a family and they stick by their member's side every step of the way. Just watching when the Today family showed up to sing Christmas carols outside the Roker home. That was a moment no one will ever forget. And Al was so so touched. It meant the world to him. And Deborah by his side, holding on to his jacket and them putting it on him so he wouldn't get cold. Such love.

Welcome back Al. I was 21 years of age working night shift. I'm now 63. I had a sick stomach but let it go. Then I started passing blood, but still went to work. 4 hours in I started bleeding profusely from my whole body. I just made it to hospital, I had lost most of my blood. I don't remember anything until I woke up with tubes coming out from me. The doctor said I was very lucky. I was in hospital for 12 days. Went I put my cloths on after being release, I couldn't believe how small I was. So their is hope for a good result. God bless and welcome home!❤

I had a huge DVT in my left thigh in 2012, and that was the most frightening thing ever. I spent a week in the hospital, the whole time feeling like a giant anvil was above my head ready to fall at any moment. The pain was also unbearable. I can't imagine having a clot in your lungs! Not only would the pain be horrendous, your breathing would be affected too. AND it's very close to your heart! Bless him that he survived. I hope his recovery goes well.

I’m 31 and just went through the exact same thing! I woke up fine the about a hour into my day as I was heading to work I had a weird stomach pain, I passed out at work( thankfully) and was rushed to the hospital. I was bleeding internally and we still don’t know what, or where it was from. While In the hospital I had 3 surgeries to stop it, I developed blood clots and so I was in a catch 22 for my healing. Thankfully God had plans still for me and stopped my stomach from bleeding and now I am able to manage my blood clots with lovenox injections. I ended up being diagnosed with APS a rare autoimmune disease, so long story short I have to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. But I agree there was a time where you feel like your on your deathbed. I’m thankful that I’m here today and the Lord had healed me through my hospital care.
