  • Holiday in the Park is the winter event at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. This event sees the park covered in beautiful light displays. And several of the park's largest attractions are kept open, including Nitro and Jersey Devil. This is one of the best times of year to visit the park, particularly for kids and families. And don't let the cold weather keep you from visiting. This park is very aggressive running their rides in crazy weather conditions.

    Nearly 50 dollars per car!!! Makes the pass that includes parking far more of a must. That’s insane.

    At the end, you nailed something huge, the crowds at Winter holiday events seem to be more behaved than the Summertime crowds and even falltime ones.
    I think it was beyond gross to see a random violent fight break out at Cedar Point in front of children. This event looks really nice. I would love to hit up Nitro in cold temperatures, it would make me feel like a soldier in WWII on a plane.

      It's nice having the more relaxed crowds at these events. Halloween crowds tend to be the rowdiest for me.

    It has always sounded like the best Christmas event in the Northeast. I bailed on my Silver Dollar City plans yesterday, because the temperature forecast in the upper 30s meant 3 of the 4 thrill coasters would never open. It's the same 4-hour drive for me.
    My Great Adventure summer weekday visits have had very minimal crowds. Rerides on Nitro and El Toro were common. I've even walked onto Kingda Ka. I can see it being busier next year, since the fall sale prices were back to around 2021 levels.

      I've been to Holiday in the Park on a cold day and marathoned Outlaw Run. I was the only person riding it the last hour so security was waiting for me at close to take me out as part of their sweep.

      @@CanobieCoaster Outlaw Run is the one that can operate down to 34 degrees. The other 3 have to close at 40 or 41. I love Outlaw Run, but I'd rather go at times that I can get on all 4.

    Great video review of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Great Adventure 🏆🥳🎢
    I went last year and it was a wonderful experience.
    I plan to go on Sunday - New Year’s Eve Day. But only for a few hours (I have a membership which saves on the outrageous parking fee). Since I live on Long Island, I will stop at Luna Park on the way back home for my third visit to Frost Fest, Luna Park’s first ever winter event. Cyclone, Tickler and Circus Coaster are open during Frost Fest, along with quite a few rides in the main section of Luna Park. It’s beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. There’s even a skating rink, sizable central Christmas tree and special booths that sell holiday treats, including turkey legs and chili! There’s also a quartet of carolers that sing in front of the big Christmas tree.
    Cyclone is super fast, even in the cold weather.
    One attraction that you didn’t mention at Holiday in the Park at SFGA is the Houdini ride. Do you know if this attraction is open for Holiday in the Park?
    Your videos are top notch! Keep up the excellent work.
    Happy New Year 🥳🎉🎈

    I was there today, and it took 2 hours for Nitro to open, and JDC opened for approx 20 minutes at 5PM before breaking down for the rest of the day. Batman also only had the front 4 rows open until the mid-afternoon, and the normal queue was flooded so everyone went through the Flash Pass Line. Nitro ran like a dream at the end of the night, and found a spot in my top 10. the first half had genuinely good airtime on both ends, and the midcourse tapped the train slightly

    Is that $50 parking fee just for Holiday In The Park or is that the new price for this parks lot overall?
    If it's overall, it's probably better to purchase one of those Six Flags platinum passes (whatever they're called) as parking is free, it gets you access to the waterpark next-door, and Dorney Park, which is now part of Six Flags, is not too far away and get you in there to.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  6 месяцев назад +1

      Great Adventure had high parking rates all year.

    • @Spike-sk7ql
      @Spike-sk7ql 6 месяцев назад

      I wouldn't suggest going to Dorney with your Six Flags pass, and expect to be let in just yet. Honestly, the merger isn't even final yet, and 2024 passes are gonna probably only work at SF or CF parks, whichever you bought for. That likely won't be a thing until 2025.

    • @chuck4714
      @chuck4714 6 месяцев назад

      @chuck4714 Why would it take a few years? Why would they not be included in one pass entirely right away?

    • @OklahomaCoasterFan
      @OklahomaCoasterFan 6 месяцев назад

      @mitchellries256 The merger isn't final yet. It could still not happen, but I think it will, sometime in the spring or early summer. Afterwards, they'll have to evaluate how to operate the passes. They could decide to continue to operate the chains separately. Herschend actually operates each park separately. If they decide to combine the 2 chains, expect a higher price for the pass. The 2025 pass would be the earliest we can expect to see it, and probably only if they can decide by August.
