There's no way to stop them unless the Russians figure out a way to get visual confirmation on every wild bird over their country - which is obviously impossible.

It costs around 60 billion $ a year to keep your nukes operational. If you see the general condition of their infrastructure, vehicles, ships, do you really think they have been investing the 60 billion every year for the last 20 years? Because if they didn't, they don't have operational nukes.

The other big problem is that Russia has very little technical expertise to fix a lot of the issues they have. I've seen several experts who have knowledge of Russia's oil industry that say that when Russia builds something like an oil refinery to produce gas they essentially have brought in outside foreign contractors to manage all the work. As a result, when these oil refineries are blown up it's now almost impossible to get the new equipment, but they also don't have the experts that understand the technology to fix them. So, it won't be long before you start seeing fuel shortages in Russia and you can imagine would this could look like as the Russian winter sets in as fuel oil (for heating) is part of the same process.

As a former Ammo Specialist during the 1st Gulf War, if the Russian Army is going to store their ammo at a field site, they shouldn't have picked an actual ammo storage site where the munitions would've been 99% safer if they were stored in bunkers and reinforced warehouses and not laid out in segregated piles. You NEVER leave Ammo out in the open- especially if it just arrived during War Time and you NEED it. The Army and Marine instructors that trained me down at Redstone Arsenal in '90 are most likely spinning in their graves (or drooling VERY angrily - it was almost 35 years ago) over this complete lack of Military discipline on behalf of the Russian Army. I never thought I'd admit it, but my Drill Instructors from Ft. 'Leonard Wood were right about the importance of training.

Some years back, Ukraine gave up all their nukes to Russia in exchange for secure borders between Ukraine and Russia. We're now seeing how that how that worked out for Ukraine. So, maybe Ukraine needs to reestablish its nuclear capability, along with its borders, including Crimea. No need to use them, just make sure Russia knows they should not invade again.

    • @Wartija

They were never Ukrainian nukes to begin with, they were left over Soviet Union nukes that were located in what is today Ukraine. They never had access to them, nor the capability to maintain them nor do they now have the capability to start a nuclear program any more than let's say Poland does.

If the theory I heard - and share - is right, it's even worse. Ukraine found the weak point in Russia's logistic - and Russia can't easily change this weakness.
Notice, that there is a train in every destroyed depot? They just got a delivery and where unloading the train - as Russia does this mostly manually it takes time and means out of the train - into the open -> into the bunker - so the bunker also is opened/vulnerable. And it seems Ukraine is/was able to hack the logistics of Russia to time the attacks into these hours, when there was ammo in the open and some of the bunkers where opened to store it in.

There was at least one structure, probably the site of that terrific blast, which is simply gone. A crater occupies more area than the missing building did. The photographic evidence is consistent with whatever ware inside the building detonating. From the perfectly circular area of downed trees around the crater, the detonation was in the range of kilotons. It was not simply ammunition outside the buildings exploding. The blast was extremely focal. An ammunition train exploded in the early '70s just outside Roseville, California without creating nearly the effects of this.

@@douglaszelazny1094 The train was carryin about 882 tons of 250 bombs bound for Vietnam. The train was in the open, and not all the car loads detonated at once. Nor did all the bombs. Several unexploded bombs were found during freeway work in the 'oughties, for instance The explosion or one of them wiped the small town? village? hamlet? of Antelope off the map. But none of the explosions created a crater of any major size. The biggest explosion was audible about 40 miles away.

It's not a senseless war -- it's an IMPERIAL conquest war. The defenders regard the assault senseless. The mafia state regards it as essential.

That 12 to 1 Russian general guy doesn't understand math. Russia has 3x the population, and when you use soldiers like that, you lose veterans and more equipment while tou make veterans on the opponents side.
Do that too many times, and you won't even be allowed to make that bad trade.

I cringe when I hear Trump praise Putin. If he loses and has to face Jan 6 and other charges, he will be a flight risk. He could move into the Kremlin if it is still standing in November. There's always N Korea, Hungary or Slovenia.
