I got go riding with Ryan Hughes and Danny Laporte on a private track day at cahuilla creek sometime around 2005. It is one of my best memories from racing. Back then I was 6'3" 160ish and I always worried about my weight. He was the only guy that ever told me to put on more weight. I ended up putting on 20lbs at the gym and went from a top 10 C racer to a midpack A racer. Idk if I would've had the confidence to put on the weight without him getting in my ear. I don’t think you were wrong at all for posting the first video. I have a lot of respect for Ryan and have been a fan of his since the beginning. With that said, I’m not so sure that he doesn’t have a real problem. I wouldn’t keep apologizing for posting the video, and I would continue to do the same thing in any future situations in order to, bring to light anybody that may have a mental issue. You can always resolve it later as you did here in this video.

Cooksey, so glad you checked in on Ryno. Seems like all is good. He didn't seem to upset with the video.

He was definitely pissed but when I explained my side he understood. He didn't like that I posted it, but he appreciated me not hiding and letting him explain. My intent of posting the video was not to hurt him, but to find our what in the hell was going on.

I don't know Ryan Hughes personally. But he strikes me as a very deep individual when he explains things. If you listen he gets very passionate That's why he is deep and if you listen to him and follow, you will get him as a individual. Cooksey this is not directed at you.just talking about average individual who doesn't get him

Well done on posting this, and good on Ryno!
But hey, it is not 1990s anymore?? Damn!! I wish it was!!! The good old days... when "what happens on tour, stays on tour"
Now, whatever happens anywhere on the planet gets filmed, and soon the whole world can watch it online.
One way I think the sport is doing better in regards to former champs and top guys, some racers are brand ambassadors, or even coaches, test riders and so on. They are keeping busy in the sport. Sure not enough spaces for everyone, but i think a lot more than before. Straight Rhythm... and select events the former pros come out for.
They peak early, and everyone says "yes" to them etc when they are winning. As soon as you pass the peak.. it is massive life change.
Ryno is right... people all of kinds feel it, we need to go back to the "village" where we have friends and such around us. Get off social media, know they neighbor.
Ryno... if you read this, take up trail bike riding. You can take it has easy or hard as you want, but being out in the wild with nature, on a dirtbike, is awesome. It is a LIFE style.

@@Marleysdad808 nope, still here. VARG comes in Oct (projected) but I cant really ride it until Dec. Can't risk any injury... even dumping it over, because rock cuts keep me out of the ocean for weeks with the staph risk!
