    Never had a neck brace that was constricting, don't see how it would affect technique, comfort maybe, it clearly never affected Villopoto.

    • @joshuavanzuydam5044
      @joshuavanzuydam5044 3 года назад +2

      Well. At a much higher level of skill and technique there are very small things you can do to make big gains. For average joes like us. It doesn't make a difference. For a professional. Having a few centimeters of extra movement in their upper body results in serious gains. Ryan was riding in a time where the vast majority of guys used neckbraces and the technique wasnt at the level it is currently (not to say there was no technique. They were crazy technical, just that the game has elevated again as it always does with time).

    I've always tried to explain to people that the way I ride has to be slightly different. I'm 5'11". But I'm all legs. If my girlfriend is 5'8". If she sits in my car to drive she actually has to move the seat down and forward. So when I get in to drive I have to put the seat up and back. Because my torso is actually the same length as my girlfriend who is 3 inches shorter. So when I ride I have to stay in a more squatted stance. Not with legs out but that in order to be balanced on the bike I have to stay with my legs bent more than most guys. Which makes it harder because I'm in a resistance position all the time.

    Have you seen how long Mr Musquins necks is? Even if he looks all the way up I think the back of his helmet would barely touch that neck brace.

      Yeah Rhyno is arrogant. It just fits his whole theme of body movement. Obviously Musquin usually isn't up to par through whoops, but hes still made passes in them and showed great speed. Just isn't his specialty. Not sure why his results have been mediocre though, could be anything.

    The minute man approach to riding. Less is more and more is less ! Speed and agility are brothers and only work well together in concert. Being one with the machine is best achieved when each are unhindered and able to perform fluidly as one entity. How fast could a bike be if that bike could perform its function without a rider ?
    It would be unstoppable and would never be caught!

    KTM should get Ryan to go to Aldons and work with Marvin. I think they are about to give up on him. Already made offer to AP to ride for them. Does that mean Marvin's out if he goes, or they get somebody else?

    Wait so Neck-braces can hurt your Technique?? I've ALWAYS felt that way and tried to Wear the lowest Profile Braces and Protective Support/Gear to the Point that NOW I Barely wear any aside from Boots, Pants, chest Protector, Jersey and Helmet (& the occasional Knee Pads/Braces)... So it's great to hear a Seasoned Pro say this Publicly without being silenced by Sponsorship!!
